Realistic New Subway Simulator | SubwaySim Hamburg (MAX GFX) 

I’ll never understand why they do not make a NYC subway simulator it would have so much DLC possibilities and so many routes that you could do.

Hi, Im the New Yorker that made a comment about The Long Island Rail Road and Metro North being commuter trains the other day. I looked at this video and then I looked at The World of Subways number 7 train video and what a difference. I like the 7 train video from that period because I grew up around those types of old IRT cars. But New York looks so grimy and scary and filthy. Its like a European movie makers vision of New York. Its highly depressing. This on the other hand looks plesant and the stations and scenery are beautiful. Im just getting started with my interest in this stuff and being a New Yorker Id probably get the 7 train first anyway! 😊

I am amazed how really freaking close to the real locations it looks. 😊 I am born in Hamburg, grew up there. The U-Bahn System has always been fascinating to me, and the age and history of it is very cool. Technically, besides the U-Bahn lines, there is also the S-Bahn, and both together form an impressive Metro System. The Hauptbahnof Sued (Central Station South) Station (the yellow tunnel station) has a huge platform, because it originally had 4 Tracks when it was built around 1903. The part of line after City Hall along the Port looks in this game a bit underwhelming... 😅 I mean, it is a huge Port, about 60 square miles. Oh well, at least some Details are there, like the Cap San Diego (the white ship) and the Rickmer Rickmers (the Sailing Ship). Even the Round Bunkers throughout the City are there. Those are the fat Round towers with pointy roof, air raid shelters that were lined with brick to look less like bunkers and are supposed to blend in. So yes, the most important derails are all there, the line and the stations, and they are accurate. Other surrounding buildings are accurate as well, not generic, but a lot is missing. Perhaps a limitation of the gfx engine and a choice made in game design to keep things smooth.

I don't understand where your enthusiasm comes from. Ten years ago I purchased World of Subways 3 (London circle line- also Aerosoft). It was graphically so much better than this sim. I do not understand that this sim is graphically so bad with today's video cards. I now have an RTX 3090 myself and it doesn't look good. Even if you reset the quality of EPIC to HIGH. Compared to WoS3, this is a waste of money. Passengers spontaneously jump into the air and walk right through each other. Just the lack of the ability to define the keys themselves. If you have something wrong with your left hand, you cannot change the accelerator/brake from A and D to the UP/DOWN keys. WoS-3 currently costs €14.95 and is worth more. And all functions/keys can be set to your own preference 👌 Just try.

Train Sim World 4 should develop more subway routes. We only got London Underground. Train Simulator already has this one.

It’s pretty accurate. Maybe too many trees they could cut down like 10-15%. Just before you arrive at Dehnhaide station, you cross the canal (Osterbekkanal) and there is a high rise building with balconies. Those balconies are misplaced.

wow the graphic somehow look the best in any trainsim in my opinion. The color the tone the lighting look very similar to real life video.

Hopefully we see other city systems from them in the future. An Underground line would be nice. Looks awesome but seems like it could use some variation cause 1 city might get old fast

Hey man, glad they made a game of an underground line in Hamburg, since I'm Hamburg born and living near Kellinghusenstraße station. The whole system is actually not entirely underground because it was cheaper to build the tracks over the ground, especially in the outskirts of the city. The 'river' at Barmbek station is the Osterbek canal, which is leading to the Alster river lakes, which are leading to the big Elbe river with the massive harbor Hamburg is famous for. 15:20 Most of the buildings are, of course, generic with the important ones resembling the actual buildings but they are similar to the actual buildings. Really good work here. Yes, every station is unique, which probably comes from the fact that the U3 in Hamburg is one of the oldest underground lines in the world. Wow, they even rebuilt the Yomas store at the Central Station (Hauptbahnhof Süd), that's a surprise. There is one thing I am missing: The english announcements for Hauptbahnhof Süd, Rathaus, Landungsbrücken and Sternschanze. But I may tell you about the important stations in a different comment. As for hello, here in Hamburg we say "Moin". In school-German it is "Hallo". Of course we got ships here, since we've got europes 3rd largest harbor, which is where Baumwall station is at. Speaking of Baumwall station, I'm impressed of how they rebuilt the Elbphilharmonie opera house and the Speicherstadt, which is the oldest warehouse district in the world and yet another sight Hamburg is well known for worldwide. They could have done the Landungsbrücken more detailed though but since it is an early access version, I am sure they will update this. At least they've got the Rickmer Rickmers and Cap San Diego museum ships in the game. Overall I can tell you it looks very much like the line looks in real life, fair play to those programmers, it looks like they put lots of effort into the game.

Important stations are: Wandsbek Gartenstadt as a terminus and an interchange with the U1. Barmbek as the beginning and terminus of the loop and an interchange to the S1/S11 line, which also has a branch leading to the Airport. Hamburger Straße, where the Hamburger Meile shopping centre is. Lübecker Straße, another interchange station with the U1. Berliner Tor, a massive interchange station with the U2, U4 and some S Bahn lines. Hauptbahnhof Süd, the central/main station of Hamburg, a massive interchange between all lines of Hamburg and the station with the 2nd highest amount of passengers in all of Europe. Mönckebergstraße, Hamburgs main shopping street. Rathaus (is the german word for City Hall), where you can exit to the Jungfernstieg, the very beautiful old town, Alster Lakes and to the Jungfernstieg station, which is a massive interchange. Baumwall: The station for the famous opera hall called the Elbphilharmonie and the Speicherstadt I wrote about. Landungsbrücken: The station where you exit if you want to visit the docks or take harbor boat tours/ferries. St. Pauli: Hamburgs infamous red light district, also accessible from Landungsbrücken and Feldstraße stations. Sternschanze: An interchange with the S Bahn, an exit to the fair and to what might just be one of the worlds best known alternative left winged buildings, the red flora. Hoheluftbrücke. One of the oldest sports stadiums in continental Europe, the Stadion Hoheluft, is nearby. Kellinghusenstraße: Yet another interchange with the U1. Borgweg (Stadtpark): The station for the massive city park with i.e. the Planetarium Hamburg in it.
