Girl I swear you give off such calming vibes. You seem so incredibly smart, kind and genuine! This is my first video of yours I’m watching and can’t wait to see all that will follow! ❤
AHH this comment made my entire day, so thank you!! and so happy you came across my channel (welcome)! more videos to come! & i love chatting with people so always feel free to comment anytime! where are you from? :)
@@LaurenOrion oh wow amsterdam!! ive heard nothing but great things about that city! i promised myself i will visit one day. what kind of doctor? my dad was in internal medicine for 30 years and retired recently. How do you like living abroad?
@@nk.medani it’s for sure a must see city! But I’d say with a three day trip you’ve seen the majority of things so I’d recommend adding another city (like Rotterdam or The Hague) to the trip! Ah no way I’m also in internal medicine! I want to go into oncology!!
@@LaurenOrion oh amazing I’m definitely writing these down for a potential trip in the future!! & what a coincidence! I heard internal medicine is pretty common. I don’t know much about oncology but I hope you get to make the switch!!
Those kitchen cabinets that had different colour finish to the doors and floors were driving me crazy. It was a nice place, but that one wouldn't have worked for me, lol.
Really enjoyed the tours and associated commentary, but found your camera work a bit dizzying sometimes. What with your occasionally quite fast moving filming, and tendency to sometimes jump quickly from room to room, I was also left struggling on occasion to reconstruct the individual floor plans in my head. I do appreciate that you were likely aiming to keep your material to a reasonable length, and to avoid excessive details... but I think that just marginally slower paced camera work for a couple of the tours would have benefited your video noticeably. Having said that, I still greatly look forward to checking out what else you have to offer and am very pleased you appeared on my home page.
Lawd Jesus CHRIST, those prices are RIDICULOUS for apartments that small. SHEESH. But i understand the cost of living is totally different in each part of the country. Here in Birmingham i have a 2 bedroom duplex apartment in a decent neighborhood for 600 per month. Just amazes me how much rent prices increase in different parts of the country. Here in Alabama 2000 per month would get u a HUGE spot somewhere in a safe, quiet, peaceful police protected neighborhood. Hell, a thousand would get u a spot outside the 'Hood. Wowwww. Ur videos are really enlightening. New York is DEFINITELY too expensive for me.
hiii thank you for taking the time to comment! i love learning other people's living situations because it truly sheds some light with how different everyone lives! i have personally never been to alabama (or anywhere in the south actually) except for Louisiana once 10 years ago. I know the lifestyle is starkly different there than in the east coast! yes youre absolutely right-- NYC is so damn expensive lol. BUT i truly love it here and it is the best place for 1. where im at in my life 2. my career 3. my personality/lifestyle. i am glad this could provide some insight for people as that is why i love creating these! and welcome to my channel! :) how is life in alabama? do you like living there and have you lived there your whole life?
tbh although the prices are kinda insane, these apartments feel decent. What other costs would be in the city in addition to the rent? Power/ water/ garbage removal/ what else?
hi! i agree, the prices are outrageous in the city for getting so little, but thats the way nyc is (unfortunately)! other costs for apartments that tenants pay: wifi/internet monthly, gas (cooking) & electricity monthly! nyc law requires landlords/buildings to pay for water & heat year round (heat when its below a specific temperature is required by law). garbage removal is usually covered within your rent. AC is usually not included in most apartments (so tenants buy their own)
@@nk.medani Oh AC is a good point, i'm from the south, central ac is standard here. What do you do, get a window unit and carry it with you when you move?
@@Michael-iw3ek yes the AC component is definitely a nyc thing haha. And yes - if you move you typically take your AC unit with you. All apartments have windows (at least one window, by law) so you would just install it there
@@Michael-iw3ek you’re welcome! It’s a very fun city & definitely worth a try once in your life in my opinion! I moved here from san Francisco last year & it was the best decision I ever made. The city will always be here when you’re ready!
haha i agree!! 5th floor walk ups are so rough!! i was out of breath at the top and the listing agent asked if i was ok, and she understood why because she had the same experience walking up haha
definitely personal preferences! 5th floor walkup without an elevator is tough. I also dont like the 1st floor either. the last apartment was a good view though!
You’re ridiculous for this comment. You’re clearly an unhappy person who thinks leaving condescending comments will get you anywhere. It’s in your best interest to yourself from this situation.
