I bough element a couple of years ago but then immediately moved over to blender for all my 3D creation. I think I’ll play around with Element again. Thanks.
If they branched out and program that would be dope id gladly pay roughly $500 for it to do everything from blender and c4d with free updates like they did with element

@@VisualFXPro same here...its been putting me thru hell...i cant get element to stop sliding in 3d space when deadling with other 3d comps that are not from the view port or trying to place a 3d model on a handheld shot...prettyy weird
@@MiDaY_i Oh! Well, have you moved it from its original position in the 'Scene Setup'? Also, make sure to check the 'pixel error' in the '3D camera tracker' settings, after camera tracking your shot, if it's above 1.4 pixels, it slides quite a lot! :)
Open this add 60 clos. Open this panel set to minus 50. Close. Then set image > HDRI > minus 4.2. Then open geometry and make shure floor is set to shadow. Wow what a way of teaching. Its like a formula, this is not teaching, its a run through. Sorry i have to be honest. Its at the very least not a well made tutorial even. Just narrating your actions as you work doesnt teach people. All of your viewers arent experts to just hear a gist and then they've got it going.
Thank for your tutorial but I have a little issue with the AO when I enable it and switch to Ray-Traced mode the shader has flickering. I turn the rtao samples to 19 ,it still the same. I wonder if you know how to fix this issue.
Sorry! Just saw this! I actually separated the colours using Lumetri Color (HSL Secondary) and used the keying type (White/Black) and then duplicated the layer and used the 'Luma Matte' in the 'Tracked Matte' options! Just slightly fasted than rotoscoping. :)
how you change colors in element 3d lighting presets, for example cinema..there are colors already implemented, but cant find the way to chenge them, hmm? any suggestion? thanks!
Ahh I ended up not interpreting that plugin into my workflow! There's plenty of great tutorials for it though, it's called Dehancer. :) Let me know if you have any other questions!
Amazing stuff! Well my current desktop build is i9 9th gen 9900K and I don't have an external gpu yet. I am using the Intel UHD graphics(integrated with CPU) and planning to buy a GTX 1050Ti 2GB DDR5 as I don't have that much bank. Will that be enough to run the Element 3D plugin? Or will the GPU get killed if I run Element 3D on it?
That's awesome for After Effects as it's mostly CPU accelerated. That should be plenty to work with, although you may have to work in draft mode for setting up heavier scenes, it should work fine for a shot like in the tutorial. :)
To be honest, an update is very needed, but I did use Element 3D on a commercial for FIFA last year. It still comes in handy to be able to composite with in AE as it is fairly fast. Maybe if we are all keep using an update will be come! :)
There are work arounds I know a guy that uses blender for animation like water then runs it into element to dial in animation more. After effects camera is better element has its own render built in that can do ambient occlusion, ray trace, etc
Hi, for some reason when I import an animated object (made in blender) the animations are not working in after effects, the object is just standing there without moving
Hello! Hmm, have you exported it out as a OBJ sequence? You have to check 'Animation' in Blender when you export it as OBJ. If yes, did you 'Import>3D Sequence'? :)
