For those of you wondering, my wrist is doing better. Doctor could never figure out what exactly is going on even after an MRI. So anyways not a huge deal, but that's why I'm still icing and wearing the brace. I cracked up when I was editing and realized how obnoxious the ice pack was lol .. Thanks all for watching!!
You are truly amazing! Thank you for sharing your talent. Here's an idea for your wrist. Try using a warm wax dip. Hand wax dipping heats your bones. You can purchase at Walmart, beauty supply store, or on line. I also use aspirin cream. Best of luck to you. Hugs
Chuck, somewhere along the way, I missed exactly what happened to your wrist. If it was on some of that social media stuff...well...you know I don't do any of that. Just wanted to say, You take care of that, man...whatever it is.
Another amazing tutorial/walk through. It's always so satisfying watching you paint and turn blobs of colour from blocking in into beautiful and realistic nature. I used to never block in my paintings and just rendered as I went which was waaaaaay too hard. Blocking things in has changed my paintings dramatically over the years. I'm so glad you stressed that lol, Keep it up!
Thank you for this video. You are a Rock God. Thank you for showing all the tiny details you do to a painting instead of editing that part out. It really helps to get the idea of how to achieve the realistic look: elbow grease! Well...no time to chat, must paint dots...
Amazing artist, and an excellent instructor! I am so lucky I saw you on Pinterest. I used to paint with oils, unfortunately I developed an allergy to Lindsey oil. Watching you paint with acrylics first, motivated me to give it a try. Even if I have to complete with acrylics only. Thanks so much for sharing your expertise.
Hi, just thought I'd write a little something even if you won't get to see it. I'm guessing you get tonnes of messages! I was attracted as much by the quality of your work as by your wrist brace. I love to paint, but I too have a wrist problem. The pain is getting worse and it was the most depressing thing to consider i might have to give up doing what i love. But seeing what you achieve with a wrist brace is very inspiring indeed. I thought it would be too restrictive, but obviously you cope remarkably well. You've given me the inspiration I needed to persevere. I hope your wrist is better now. Mine won't get better unfortunately, the best that can be done is an op to fuse the wrist in place so it won't move. I'm putting that off as long as possible, but you can only put up with so much pain! Best wishes from the UK :D
Chuck! That was amazing. Such intricate details in a cliff! Now I know why I have struggled in the past, but no more thanks to this video. I will take my abstract / pallet knife cliffs and turn them into realistic and majestic rock formations. Thank you so much for sharing your talent here. God bless!
Thank you Chuck. I watched this a few months ago and this was too advanced for me and still is. However, this gives a long-term painting goal. I am practicing in between step 1 and step 2. Very inspirational
Hi Chuck, thanks to a RU-vid suggestion I found your channel. That’s a crazy amount of work you put into those rocks but the outcome just blows me away. Hope I can achieve that level of skill one day. Subscribed and looking forward to watching your other videos
Thank you- It is truly amazing to watch you create your art. Can I ask how many hours this whole painting took? I'm finding patience is not my strength. Yet ;)
I really love this painting im also painting rocks for the moment and I stick a little bit but after watching your video i gonna the it Again thanks a lot ! Bye bye
Absolutely love your work Chuck, and this painting in particular. I know this may sound weird but I see an image of a face just above the ram’s horn with the chin resting on the horn. It’s like old man mountain is looking down on God’s creation of the beautiful valley far below. Lol. Anyway that’s just me.

How much time is invested from start to finish for this painting? Just discovered you and have subscribed. I'm a pre-beginner painter having just taken up this endeavor. Thanks.
Thank You. I'm Acrylic user. But Im having a lil trouble for blending cos it's gets eas9 to dry. And As I observed and watching all your oil painting it looks so perfect to me..
