Being a CA student, I think the video is on point. 90% CA live a very average life. I have wasted my 5 years in pursuing this course. Only go for this course if you have favicol which means you should stick yourself to your chair. And good rattafication skills. Please do a full analysis. You may be top in your school doesn't guarantee you can become CA.

I am a Chartered Accountant, I don't think to generalize a profession with a "Job". Yes when all are following sheep race of getting job, Competition would obviously be more but at the same time when a skilled CA enter into market he could do wonders. Market could be practice or business. The patience and time management u learn in CA, cant be learn in any other course i believe.

Firstly, this video was only on the negative points of CA Profession. 1. 90% of CA don't live an avergae life,thats completely wrong. In every profession there are people for who don't become successful. 2. No job gives you big salary pay initially except for rank holders in CA profession and for peoole who are from IIT AND IIM. 3. any professional degree takes time 3-5 years be it CFA, CS, CMA, DOCTOR , MBA ETC. 4. There more than 1000's of people who started their articleahip and got into Big 4, it all depends on the field you select and skill uou develop. 5. Core finance, consulting type of job is not everyone's cup of tea bhai. And thus that is a niche market that requires the relevant skills and knowledge . As a CA passout in 2023, i can definitely say CA has crafted a new version of me, which is better mentally, but maybe a lil worse physically because ca final exams take a serious toll on your physical health. From sleepless and crying nights to alone afternoons, you gotta face everything during CA. Passing CA inter is a big achievement, but the real journey starts when you do your articleship. While preparing for CA finals, it made me realise that you can't do CA alone, you require your family's support as well. There were many days in the journey when i felt i did a mistake entering in CA. These thoughts will be your biggest enemy. Also I think it's important to share that there were days when i didn't study for 3 days straight becomes you feel so down and negative at many times and even 1 month before the exams. Just take care of your health and what's gone is gone, focus on your present and trust me you'll succeed if you'll understand yourself. Also CA is not the end of your life. Always be humble even if you succeed in 1st attempts and don't feel gutted if you aren't able to clear exams.

What’s your opinion on doing a dummy articleship while pursuing the CFA? By doing so, I could clear the CFA Level 2 exam before the CA final. If I pass the CA final, that's great, but if not, I'll take the CFA Level 3 exam afterward. This way, I will have completed all levels of the CFA and can then pursue an MBA abroad.

I want to do CFA but I checked the fee structure and found it a bit expensive. Already wasted 2 years of my life doing CA but couldn't clear it.+ my Confidence level is at the lowest. I have only one thing to say upon- just starting salary should not be criteria. Also- when someone does chartered accountancy course, see growth after 10-15 years. There are numerous vacancy for ca in govt.sector. Course does provide flexible option. Also what i found most valuable things about ca or any rigorous course- it gives you confidence that you can do hard work..importance of 1 day or even 1 hr.. Also society does give respect too. And toughness level- it isn't that tough. Even ca inter can earn good in market. Soft skill, interpersonal skill one can get even after becoming ca. At the end- it's upto one person interest and commitment how far you want to go not just in ca also in other field.. One can become good teacher not many more. 5 years(3 yr of graduation+ 2 more years). Also a saying - social life is messed up( its just a saying) If people has given a choice heck lot of audience would pursue carrer in making reels. Yess there are options. Since option are there it doesn't make this course irrelevant. There are many personalities out there who is mp, minister clearing upsc.. There is no clearly defined rule.. Few of my friend who took multiple attempt doing industrial training in investment banking and earning 70-80k pm.. So,...

Ok, overall, I want to say that no degree will give you a guarantee that you will get a good job, even if you are passed from IIT B or IIM A. You will get a good job from your skill set. Every course has its pros and cons. Just think, does ICAI don't know many students are leaving CA for foreign courses? They know it, and that's why they always update themselves with time. They reduced the articleship period. We have six papers in final and inter that impact the mindset of the aspirants, and they also restricted the number of attempts in CA, inter, and foundation. In my family, one of my uncle left his navy job and pursued CA and started his firm, and he's earning well even though he is not from commerce. I totally agree that we should not waste our initial years of life just on one course if we are unable to clear it because it's cheap, like an examination form that just costs you 1500 or 2700. So many people gamble on 1500 or 2700, which we can't afford in courses like CFA, FRM, etc. I think only 40-50% serious canditates appear in exams. After all, we all know that it was not easy. We have a vast syllabus, but we granted it very casually, so just don't deframe any course if you can't give a right view about it. Even if you wanted to be a be a cardiologist, you need 13-15 years. If you crack UG, PG, and specialist in your first attempt, a cardiologist should not waste his or her 13-15 years just for it. Every degree has its own worth. Just don't deframe it.

And what about respect which gets after clearing CA which won't give that level of respect in any other commerce course.. The perception about the person who cleared CA becomes the next level in the eyes of another person.. And talking about salary gradually increases and CA has various sources to earn not just from a job..

I completely agree with everything said in this video ! Having spent two years pursuing the CA course, I've realized it's not the golden ticket it's made out to be. I've decided to explore other certifications like CPA, CFA, and ACCA for a more diverse and fulfilling career path. Trust me m I’ve never been this engaged with the people, studies snd work. I’ve started to get opportunities abroad. Many CAs end up in education or motivational speaking rather than practicing in their field. It's a wake-up call for anyone considering this path to weigh their options wisely.

I am currently doing ACCA because i have talked to a CA and he said that I don't recommend doing CA because of its group system that makes a loophole go revolving around it he advised me to pursue acca because it is globally recognised and it doesn't have a group system and as globalisation is going on the demand of acca will drastically increase in the upcoming years in INDIA

Opportunity cost is very underrated in CA course if we put that much effort in other field of learning skill then we will be making a lot more money than ca. Currently I'm doing CA/CMA foundation but now after watching this video & further analysis I'm going to quit CA. And will do CFA after completing my CMA india.

I wonder why he has only made a video criticising only CA COURSE. If you watch all of his video you can clearly see a pattern that he is promoting ACCA and CFA and discouraging MBA and CA. I am a Fresher CA & let me tell you that the job market is at its worst. The Campus recruitment rate has come down from 50% to 23% & the package these 23% are getting is way low. I cleared CA all levels in first attempt and did my articleship from Big5 but still the offers I was getting were not worth the hype. Those who think that First Attempt and Big4 will give you a good package, let me tell you the best monthly in hand you will get is 70-90k (This includes Big4 and Top Companies) and this comes after fighting in neck to neck competition with others. Rankers will get a decent pay of 120-130k pm. And believe me these are actual numbers. And also this is when you cleared in first attempt. Let's just not talk about those who are having multiple attempts. Many of you will say that "Okay 70-90k is good enough though". But those who have cleared CA know how we have done this course. And let's just not compare the salary with that of BTech Students. My friends who haven't even done from IIT are getting 130-150k pm in hand as freshers. What is our Top CTC is their Base. So please think twice before doing this. No one is going to tell you the harsh reality of CA. I used Actual Salary numbers just to tell you guys the reality, plz don't take this otherwise.

Being CA qualified in 2014, I am 100% agreed with you. Mostly commenting here are CA aspirants influenced by their faculties and don’t have knowledge of Market. They are just seeing 1-2% of CAs. Even ICAI data says, Student’s Average year of getting qualified is 7.8 yrs. Job is underpaid and Practice in this time is very hard to establish. It will take at least 5-6 yrs to get fair earnings. Ca exam should be flexible . Any time single paperwise exam to be conducted. Online exam at convenient time. More ca monopoly to be ended by govt for saving time and future of students especially of commerce group. Its my personal opinion

Yes CA does not develop communication skills ….but CFA also teaches core finance and it is also a self study course so I am not developing any soft skills with CFA …by finance knowledge its the best but it will develop my hard skills…

Most of the people commenting are CA aspirants and have no knowledge of job market and placements, its a fact that avg CA with multiple attempts gets salary of 70-80k per month and those who are saying practice lack common sense ,own practice requires a lot of time to establish and earn well, its not worth the hussle for most of the people
