Got a perfect overview of what skills and tools needed to land a data science job, And I do believe that gaining a startup experience will plays a major role. Thanks a lot sanjeevi for sharing your experience on data science field.
True working on start-up is soo cool, they count you as a really important asset,I feedback matters ,they listen what we say, I have worked in start-up,and believe me in start-up it's not like you are a data scientist or you are software developer you're just a Beck end developer you are a problem solver everything in Beck works you should be ready to learn it and improve it even though I am interested in data science,I learnt so many skills in start-up Ruby, nodejs,Perl server side scripting,AI Chat bot....
A very good initiative with a great approach! Keep up the good work! Just one observation - The interviewer is asking leading questions in the College vs University section because he has a preconceived notion of universities being better, which is reflected in every interjection that he makes. Tip: when you're interviewing an expert, please keep your opinions and biases aside and let the person give answers to the best of his abilities and knowledge.
Hey Jay. Thanks for your feedback. Yes, I accept that I am a little biased when it comes to Data Science because this is the reality of the Data Science job market. I have this perception because that's what I faced as a Student. For skills development, it doesn't matter but for jobs it does! The reality is that your profile won't be shortlisted for most of the DS job openings if you don't have research experience in DS or a university degree. Experts will suggest with respect to skill development, a student can give you the reality of the job industry. I don't want students to get the wrong idea that skills development and being eligible for jobs are the same things. In short, Industry is biased for DS jobs, not me.
@@youraverageguide Hey, I did not mean to offend you and apologies if the comment appears curt. I get your point and I am sure everybody is glad to have your valuable insight just like I am. You have taken up a wonderful initiative to provide us with the most relevant information and I am thankful to you for that. I take your point that your experience suggests that the industry is biased towards Universities, and you should definitely highlight that, with full force. It is just that it seemed like you did not let the interviewee complete his point, because of which audience would feel like they did not get to hear your guest's entire point because of the interjections. No hate, man!! Will definitely keep an eye out for your informative content going forward :)
@Jay Palan NO No. I am not offended, sorry if I got carried away while putting my point forward. And I will try to put forward my opinion in a better way in the future and will try not to interrupt the speaker. It's a process and I am still learning. I will be more careful in the future. 😅
Thank you Sanjeevi for sharing such transparent information in descriptive manner and Big thanks to you Sahil for brining such experienced professionals on this platform 🙌🏻✊🏻 also please create next video on networking! Waiting for it👍🏻
hey there Ahsanul, fellow data scientist here! I’m a small RU-vidr who has videos up on data science / career / interview, maybe those could help you out? 🙂
An awesome interview with Crystal clear explanation about the Data Science course as well the interview preparation. And all the doubts got cleared. Thanks for such a beautiful video.
This video is really very insightful! You covered almost all the points. Thanks a lot! But, we college people will definitely have to do more hardships to get into it, that's for sure😅
Firstly thank you so much for this. I am a marketer looking to strengthen my understanding of analyzing data and also gaining a skill. I have applied to Rotmons 10th month certification. I would love to understand scope from management profile perspective from a non engineering perspective. Fundamentally I would learn python, SQL, stats and R etc and be able to work with data engineers
Sanjeevi, you are amazing and this is so inspiring. Loved your transparency, passion and energy in your subject. Your curiosity has got you where you stand right now! Everyone is proud of you!
Now, Canada gives 2 years work permit to anyone who is willing to live and do any job in Atlantic Canada. High school education is enough. After 2 years, you can get Canadian PR.
thanks or informative videos..i have a concerning question regarding choosing Data Science as non-tech background. with growing data science students would u think it will be still in demand in next 2-3 yrs or so, like if we start on this path it would take 2-3 yrs and by that time it might be outdated or there will be abundance of Data scientist? How about Videos on Data scientist as a freelancer. thanks again.
Hi sir..Superb video..Can you give some insights on the Graphic Designer & UI/UX Designer role in Canada..How will be starting salary & how will be the work-life balance..In which provinces designers are in demand..Thank you so much sir.
From starting to end, I hasn't look anywhere until your conversation end, my all mind put in here to hear all what you are speaking about because I'm also in the same field and hungry to grab all things from Data Science. Thanks for your wonderful interview video.
Very nice and informative piece of work, in whole video session, he emphasized on Certifications beside degree courses, while he is least considering the Coursera or Udemy certifications and he kept Azure/Amazon/Google certifications as Topup. So if possible could you please list the names of Certifications he is talking about. Regards
He is speaking of Azure (Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate) and AWS (AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty) ML-related certifications.
Hi my wife is 32 yrs old and is a working professional in Software industry and she intends to do MS (Data Science) from a Canadian University. She has a B.Tech (Bio-Tech). Please let me know the universities that she can get into
I have a query. I have recently completed M.Sc. Mathematics from India, and wish to pursue a career in Data Science in Canada. I have no prior knowledge of computer science. Not even basic computer languages. What course should I choose to study in Canada that can land me with appropriate knowledge and a great job there?
Hi sir,I'm recently passed out in civil engineering department in 2024. I have lot of interest in data science. I want to pursue my masters in data-science in next 2025 intake, Can you please tell me is it worthy for Masters in data-science for freshers and job opportunities
Excuse me dear. My son is doing MTech in CDS, (Computational Data Science) in IISc Bangalore. Is it worth doing? Kindly advise me. He is getting Government jobs also. Should he continue with CDS or join PSU? I will be greatful to hear your advice
It would really be dependent on his interest zones here. A masters from IISC is a dream for many. But if he's not interested in getting into a job where he will have to solve technical challenges everyday then he can go for the government job thing. Both are great careers though. Best would be to have a talk with him and see what his heart wants.
Hey sahil, we really appreciate these guides because it's really hard to get an insider's perspective in the industry but your videos do that perfectly and you don't know how much it helps us to explore our future prospects in Canada. Keep up the good work brother 👍. Also if you are looking for video ideas please try the cloud industry as it's something I am passionate about and would really appreciate it. Anyways thanks for the insights ❤️
Thanks a lot for your support and feedback Rahul. 2 Cloud videos are already planned but it's being pushed because the speakers have a busy schedule! I will try my best to record them soon and publish them as soon as possible.
Hi... Actually I am post graduate in life science and I am now joined as a clinical data analyst in Accenture. Actually I am planning to come to Canada for studies. Could you suggest some course such as post graduate diploma courses so that it would help me to pursue my career in Clinical data management or Data Science.
I am a science student studying in class 12th and i didnt take computer in 12th. So will it be tough for me to study data science. And can a average student accomplish this course successfully
Why do these people keep giving gyan instead of coming straight to point. What are skills that are required, how many of your calss got jobs, whats the situation of market and how is it for Indians?? IS it worth it? People who are to spend a fortune and are to make a choice dont need gyan about passion and interest.
Thank you for an Amazing and informative content ! I am despirately trying to understand how to join university in Canada. I am living in Calgary and no idea how to find univeristy, how to select courses here?
