Death is a reality no one can escape from. It draws near every day, every hour and every minute. According to the World Bank the world crude death rate was 9 per 1000 people in 2021 which translates to a staggering 72M deaths in that year and more or less around the same every year assuming world population of 8 billion. 72M given in a year is a lot. Every single person will reach this inescapable point regardless of their age, their background, their health, wealth fame or social status.
One of the thoughts that have preoccupied man’s mind throughout time is the thought of death or end of life. Mankind has continuously asked why did we come to this world and why do we then die? Why the whole creation and appearance of mankind only to be followed by disappearance? Existence followed by non-existence. Is this not futile or meaningless?
