I don't agree with that , I have seen so so many successful restaurants which earnings a lot , plus their owners were poor before, they struggled and started and now they are on highest success.. Everything is good , every business is good but you had to put your strength, efforts and time and proper dedication You can do anything
@@doconyoutube2365it’s true buddy But they learned the things by themself that’s why they survived in this industry I am also from this industry even I am learning the things and upgrade my self on a daily basis
9:10 momo :- White flour Deep friend Ajinomoto Red spice chutney Mayonnaise Sab kharab hai Phir tel ka quality leka kya karunga (Aur ha mai vegetarian hu meet nahi khata)
He is not letting Raj ask questions. I have had wow momos many times, it is extremely expensive. It is true momo is not sold with great quality at every road side place, but there are extremely great quality at selective places with extremely economical prices.
Wow momos are really good.. they have nailed the quality and built a brand. Obviously it will be expensive than a road side stall who doesn’t have to pay rentals
@@mohitbishtshorts7864 It’s frozen ready made product sold to franchises, which means it contains a lot of preservatives which make it an unhealthy one
Then go there who is stopping you Dominos are also very mid pizzas but we go there with trust that they will deliver their standard pizza A brand must deliver what they are known for

Gig workers ka khyal rakhte nahi hai aur apni pocket me paisa daalte hain saara to millionaire/billionaire hi banenge swigy, zomato wale yeh low class log. Shame on them who interviews such people. @raj shamani
Absolutely loved this podcast ! His passion for his business really shines through, and I found myself hooked the entire time. I didn't even realize how quickly it flew by !
Really appreciate the confidence of the guy , he is not insecure, willing to share his ideas and insights .. he knows execution is the key and he has mastered it ! One of the most interesting podcasts here
Zomato is a big scam. They started charging forcefully for the coupons they provide after ordering food. Coupons that we never use. There's no option to attach a screenshot otherwise would have done that. We need a new player in the food industry, existing ones have started doing monopoly.
Almost through the entire podcast, the guest is saying retail outlet is a must to succeed and Raj finally gets it just a few seconds before the end. This is not the first podcast in which I saw Raj start with a wrong notion and take a long time to believe that his notion is wrong. In this podcast he focussed so much on the delivery aspect while the guest has so much to offer on the retail outlet.
Congratulations on WOW MOMO's success! As a Tibetan, I appreciate that you’ve acknowledged momo’s Tibet roots. If there’s ever an opportunity to highlight this connection further, it would mean a lot to the Tibetan community. Wishing you continued success! Namaste 🙏
He is passionate about sharing the essence of Indian hospitality with the world, not just as a business owner, but as someone who deeply values the industry's cultural richness. However, it's important to address the harsh realities within the sector, including the mistreatment and exploitation of hospitality staff by both customers and owners. The dignity of labor in this field is often undervalued, and addressing these issues is crucial. By fostering respect and fairness in the workplace, we can strengthen the industry and ensure that it truly reflects the values it seeks to promote.
Thank you for producing a podcast about restaurants and the food industry. I've watched many podcasts, but none of them delve into these topics. There are millions of students and employees who have graduated in hotel management and want to start their own ventures. I hope you will continue to release more episodes.
For all these years, I and family, have never ordered anything from Zomato and Swiggy, If need someting to eat, I can easily take my bike or my cycle to go to the shop, tell him to customize the things as I like and bring it to home. The kind of happiness it feels when someone brought your favourite snacks by themselves is unmatched. The problem is people these days like to stay high rise apartments as it helps them to aquire that social validation and then they find it difficult to get down and go the shops. The apartments should not be more than 5 storied if people so concerned about paying extra for so called convenience which is nothing but a self-created problems due to societial views of the so-called Society. Also, due to this so called convenience , the companies are ready to hunt and exploit people paying them low wages. People hate low wage delivery jobs but loves to get delivered at their doorsteps.
I think Knox jarrati strategy is the gold standard right now, and I suggest it to anyone starting out because of its excellence and widespread recognition.
This channel churns out some ammmazing podcasts, so much learning & inspiration. But Sagar looks very impatient, multiple times dint allow Raj to even finish questioning
Overall including cpc marketing on Zomato it goes upto 41% including taxes😢. Had to shut coz of this after running for 18months. In a tier 2/3 city u cant even keep a premium price. So making money is a big deal with their commissions.
Dear host and guest : This is true because : arms and ammunitions do not require more than 13 licences! because it is a part of legality! Where as opening a restaurant does require 32 licences because it is not a part of legal sustainability! because it is personal unless and until it is declared to be public!
Amazing hustle, I thought tiger momos would’ve become Pepsi to Sagar’s coke, that didn’t pan out. The gym momo & thupka, sms 4% conversion vs dismal WhatsApp & all product hacks this man gave were golden.
Mr sagar sir is very humble man i have ever seen i have working under him i never feel like he is the founder of wow momo always feel like he is the employee like us i very lucky to be the part of wow momo dil se wow! ❤
Adding a point to this, no wonder the roadside vendors in city like Mumbai have crores of rupees or so many properties because unka license and rent or taxes hota hi nai hoga. Also as a customer, food delivered from zomato swiggy is becoming more expensive then ordering directly from the restaurant. That is another pain point. We are habituated of getting everything delivered so fast we as consumers don't realise the added cost goes from our pocket sooner or later.
Make one on Merchant navy professional who have achieved success from that profession and money. I bet others would like that video too. I hope you bring one too soon waiting for that podcast. ❤
I don't think pick up coffee will become a thing in India unless and until we have better infrastructure. Abroad, people walk a lot freely with good footpaths and roads. In most tier-1 cities, you only have few spots where people walk freely.
He just over exaggerated the self service model with crap servicing Self service is anyday better than exploiting your employees for opening doors, good for population like India to earn penny but not feasible in US Europe
Totally agree it is di diificult for the restaurant owners. On one side we talk of employment for millions joining the job market but do nothing to make it easier for people to open and run busineneses. Our problems are self created.
Fabulous podcast, lots of learning. Do share meanings of words and abbreviations used ans some audience may not know, ex : PAT/EBIDTA etc. I have a brand call THE CHAAT CAFE and we make aazing pani puri, would love to send you some if you are in Bangalore. Also visit our Cafe Cafe Stone and expereince some great food in Bnagalore. Its a wonderful space for you to spend time or maybe do a podcast there.
Some more podcast on food industry who can help us with a detailed information from what all licenses are required for a restaurant / Cloud kitchen. Whether it’s mandatory to operate a cloud kitchen from a commercial place or can you also operate from your residence without any issues, etc etc.
I think he is trying to make business, Indian home kitchen are saviour for health of each Indian. Why need west to be our role model . Each Indian will always eat more at home than restaurants . Ghar ka khana is best always
There are certain reasons for that, 1.there is less time when you work for a private company, You Cannot spend more time preparing a breakfast at home when you have to rush to the office while keeping in mind the traffic jams. 2. During festivals people like to go out with friends and family and thats fine considering festive seasons are the only time, people have time spend with their near ones. 3. The entire economy is based on complex Industry based and not agriculture based, so time taken for preparing food will always be reduced. 4. Social view - This thing does not require any elaboration.
You are doing very good job Raj, I really appreciate your work. I would like to request you please call some IIT professor those can tell about research conditions and chalenges are going on in our country. I am also a research scholar in iit-bhu I want information and challenges about indian research all peoplea should known many things are bad hare and some of are good also. Thanks you
51:21 Indian hospitality is so called "best" because we have literally seprate caste to do the job for others, here manual labour is not paid enough i.e. cheap due high unemployment also they are not respected. But in western or any civilised nation like Finland everyone is treated equally and labour is respected and paid enough so they charged extra for manual jobs.
Agreed, that is the reason Indian people who move abroad find it difficult to aquire a maid because in those countries, manual labours and servants have very strict rights. Even though, I myself belong category but always hated how People romantically says that, in India, housemaids are affordable as compare to Europe. Example: A job of an Electrician is considered a good job in Europe with good salary and Health Insurance meanwhile in India, its called a job for the poor and uneducated.
This guy is a legend in Kolkata. He literaly invented the shop in shop food retail model. You always dont have to be from an IIT or an IIM or with Gold Standard education and Platinum Standard marks to built a successful business.
