Thank you Swami Ji. 🙏 Yes, Siddhis are real, well as real as Maya can get in this Celestial Dream. 🙏 I have changed weather, twisted spacetime, died multiple times, jumped multiverses, and even created universes. Life is weird, explore and enjoy the show. 🙏
When we were in school we used to have "Made Easy books" in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry etc. Listening to Swami Sarvapriyananda makes Vedanta so easy to grasp. He is really the modern Swami Vivekananda. Thank you Amira for this lovely conversation
Death is the curiosity I cannot experiment with, I am learning the art of bearing immense pain and suffering, I want to observe that moment when my times comes, I don't want to be carried away by my bodily pain! Many people I see live in terrible fear, I don't know but that is ultimate truth we need to embrace..
Don't worry, Yama, God of Death; is no more than Maya. 🙏 Rorri Maesu says useaMirroR Say Yama in reverse, echo back that scary question... Hear back in this MirroR of Maya "amaY". (Am i?) Next say Maya aloud in reverse, listen close for that echoed Sound "I Am" 🙏
Swamiji makes a statement at 20:05 that “If we did not exist after death in some form or the other then religion itself would not be possible or it will be pointless”. There you have it. The reason why we are told there is existence beyond death. There is some consciousness that lives beyond death. And different philosophies (or religions) were born - law of Karma / concept of Heaven & Hell. The concept of Jivatma, traveling thru different Lokas. Getting reborn. The sooner we come to terms with this the better.
I have listened to this man many times. There are only a handful I believe understand experientially what they are saying . Swami S, Kapil Gupta, and JD Krishnamerti. I have read every spiritual book under the sun, now I read in a different way and listen differently. I am not trying to consume quantity any more, one verse fully understood is enough per day. The funny part is I’m not a fan of Kapils personality although I’ve never met him, but swami seams like a cool dude that I would be friends with if I ever met him.
Thank you- a great great talk. One of the best. Advaita Vedanta is also has the problem of doubt. The “subject” we identify with the “I AM” - that experiences all objects could also be the action of neurons in the brain. There is no more proof that the subject is not the body than there is that mystical experience is genuine.
The Gita, 4: 39-42. Especially, 40; The one who has neither knowledge nor dedication, the habitual doubter perishes. The doubter has neither this world nor the next to enjoy, what to say of the real fulfillment?
arishadvarga or shadripu (Sanskrit: षड्रिपु; meaning the six enemies) are the six enemies of the mind, which are: kama (Desire/Lust), krodha (Anger), lobha (Greed), mada (Ego), moha (Attachment), and matsarya (Jealousy) additionally alasya (laziness). In Hinduism, these 6 traits are considered negative characteristics that prevent humans from attaining moksha
Around 41.11 minutes the lecture seems to be saying that this body mind generates consciousness .. Did I make a mistake in hearing? Because in all lectures we learn that the mind uses reflected consciousness and that the body, mind & intellect are in consciousness.. I am asking with humility, sincerity and genuineness. I have the utmost respect for the reverred Swamiji.
Swami Sarvapriyananda 🙏 One of the popular practices in the journey of life is *_Zen or Ch'an_* which is NOT about knowledge, teachings, beliefs, materialism, achievements, theology, religions, theories, psychology, science, etc. In the contexts of Zen or Ch'an, _There are no masters and followers;_ _Nothing to teach & nothing to learn;_ _The Noble Teachings are pathless;_ _To whom whose mind is abideless;_ _Shall realize the Dharma suddenly;_ _Is the Open Secret of all Practices!_ Zen is to practice relax breathing, quiet down & 'empty' One's mind, and look inwards within - to 'realize & see' One's True (Spiritual) Being within, which is One's most sacred treasure house. In it there, One can find all the things needed. Practicing Zen increases, sharpens & transforms One's self awareness to cause self realization. It helps a person to better manage daily life challenges - and can bring the comfort, relief & peace needed to face & overcome the hard problems of life. 😊🙏🙇♂️🌷
Its my believe ,by logic that i think that after death we become nothing which is the highest reality of us also before the birth we were the same, but in this omnipresence this reality operates with infinite bliss of consciousness that connects with nothing(blank space) to manifests new cycles, we are just like a wave arranged in a formation where we rise ,fall with time within the ocean of infinite bliss

Perfect explanation of the Vedantic doctrine. I have some objection about the explanation of the after life. After death there is no life for the jiva. The anatma , the ahamkara is just an aggregate of elements which will be separated after death. According to the Upanishad Brhad- Aranyaka teaching as Yajnavalkya instructed his wife Maitreyi, there is no ideation, no samjna after death. So what about those states ? Paradesha and peinful states after death are not really after death, but they represent an onyric state of the mind before to be dissolved.
The law of conservation of energy is a physical law that states energy cannot be created or destroyed but may be changed from one form to another. Is mind energy? Yes. We may not know where it goes after death but it goes somewhere. I like to watch Sam Parnia's videos about it.
A lot of these are past and is gone. It's all a reminiscence of certain kind of souls descending to earth from above. All kinds of energy that is harvested to perform magic or miracles are dark energies. Divine souls don't entertain in those kind of activities. They let everyone to follow their destiny. They won't interfere in others destiny. They are devotional and philosophical in nature. So they will perform poojas, sadhanas, prayers, fasting, etc which will take time to remove the obstacles. Everyone is going through spirutual evolution, not physical, not from any animals though. They are there to absorb demonic souls, if they fail in the liberation attempt. Physical changes occur from generation to generation because of spirutual change. Overall, the world is evolving spirutually, though it looks opposite. Looks are often deceiving. As the final enemy death will go away, meaning there will be physical death, but spirit or soul won't be lost because of demonic interference (mostly by cheating or fooling people).
There is a very simple explanation of - Eyes see objects. Eyes are themselves objects. Hands touch something. I am different from my hand. Mouth is eating food. Tongue is tasting food. I am aware of these, I am different from these. I am not these. If we were a single cell organism, all the life functions are carried by single cell. At that time, all the eyes, ears, tongue are just you (if at all such senses exist). As we evolve towards more complex life, the functions get divided into different organs. Just look at a simple plant. Is the plant saying I am not the plant. The roots are absorbing water and nutrients. I am not root. The leaves are taking sunlight and photosynthesising. I am not leaves. This is how life evolves. Our bodily functions are no different than that of another mammal. We somehow feel we are far superior than others instead of simply accepting that we are just a little ahead of others in evolutionary process. Evolution will continue beyond us. The life took 3- 3.5 billion years to evolve from a single cell to the complex life form of today. As humans we are only 150,000 - 250,000 year old species. We came from the nature just like others. We leave the nature just like others.
'Loko binnaruchihi' is the explanation for loka. That means taste for the details. Intelligence booby-traps itself by showing taste for details, as it is just like a scalpel in the hands of a surgeon trying to poke, separate and examining details of body parts. Reality when it begets a mind (intelligence) out of ignorance of itself, it walks into a realm (reality + mind), which may be called a realm or loka! Its taste for further details takes it thro' a maze of events. In that walk thro' , it takes many incarnations and the intermediate changing rooms are called life, death and birth etc.. In any case the mind is the one going thro' all of them and wearing different bodies. It never looses the knowledge gained and so the general movement is upwards towards the Spirit/Reality from where it originally digressed. As everything is an illusion, siddhis and mystical powers are also illusions only, which the Spirit in its present incarnation believes to be real.

With due respect, I want to say: Sharing all kinds of knowledge, including spiritual knowledge, is one thing, and following or implementing that spiritual knowledge in one's own life is another. A real intellectual will never accept anything blindly or dismiss anything blindly with one's own ignorance. The Swami never agreed that he is convinced but he just shared what is written in scriptures because that's what was asked in the question. wether it is true or not nobody knowns unless one goes to those experiences by themselves in which case one will keep it to themselves and avoid public's ignorant responses or one will share it without fear of ignorent's responses in which case it will inspire some for self inquiry on spiritual journey to find out for themselves. I suggest to study Advait Vedanta it is an undefeated intellectual philosophy about reality, nature of self and the relationship between reality and self. Advaita Vednta is the challenge to every so called self-proclaimed intellectuals to prove your intelligence by understanding it.

One is eligible to study Upanishads in their Sanyas Ashram and only Brahmans are eligible for that Ashram, if you're cynical about my take then better ask the official 4 Shankaracharyas in India. Hinduism is all about Varna Ashram Vyavastha.
You you say is completely true. Brahmin are eligible for vendanta studies in Varna system. But what you do not understand is who is a brahmin. The ill informed have a conservative view that Brahmin is the one who is born in that lineage. Completely untrue! The system of varna as described in vedas was not rigid. Mobility from one varna to other was permitted. The whole varna was made keeping in view the dharma that one had to follow. If you were born in a Brahmin family you did not necessarily became a Brahmin. You had to learn vedas and practice the dharma of a Brahmin. A Brahmin is made thru intense studies of different shastra. How else can you justify a hunter turns into a Rishi with knowledge in shastra. That's Valmiki. If you chose to do business then your varna became Vaishya and accordingly you had to follow the dharma of a trader. Maurya kings were not Kshatriyas but since they chose to become king their varna was that of a Kshatriya. In Mahabharata there r plenty examples of how movement between Varna was possible. Krishna born to. Kshtriya king is brought up as a Vaishya child but does Brahmin studies and is considered highest of the Brahmins. Bhim born a Kshatriya during agyatvas takes up a job of of cook. That's Kshatriya to Shudra. ( People misunderstand shudra. Shudra only means working class.) It's just convenient that a teachers son could be better at studies than someone who doesn't get opportunity for studies. Karna though born as a Kshatriya but u fortunately leads a life of a charioters son but he has capability and rises to become a Kshatriya warrior isn't it? It's but natural that Brahmins son became a Brahmin and a vaishyas son a Vaishya. Brahmin studies aren't easy. No parent wanted their son away studying shastra for 16 yrs. Especially vaishya and shudra. Even now a marwadi will prefer his son to run a business rather than do high studies. The vaishya don't have inclination to study shastra and probably shudra didn't have enough finance. Even a brahmin needs money to live. In the story of Eklavya Dhonacharya doesn't reject eklavlya becos he was a shudra but becos he was being paid and was committed to train the princes and it would be a fault to accept any other student. Besides, being a shudra eklavya could not afford an expensive teacher like Dhronacharya too. When Dhrona found out that Eklavya who becomes the best archer calls him his teacher he would be defaulting the kingdoms which are paying him to make their princes best of warriors. Hence he had to make a gurudakshina offer to make Eklavya an incapable archer. This the varva system was just a facility prescribed for smooth running of a society (kingdom) Somewhere down the line, probably during Gupta period, the system became rigid and prohibited movement from one varna to other and thus evolved the rigid varna system as it is seen today. This was the biggest curse ,an adharmic event in history. The reason could be plenty. Maybe the dedication to studies among brahmins reduced so they had to create a discipline so that education n knowledge was preserved.
