It’s the risk you take. You have to just be careful, I kayak constantly here in east Texas. I live off a very large lake with thousands of little off branches and slues. It gets sketchy out there, I’ve had gators bigger than the Kak go under and bump me. Not to mention the water moccasin that live in those low laying branches. You steer away from the gator and you meet the snake. And they’re meaner than the gators

Since water concentration inside the cell is higher than water concentration outside the cell, the water will diffuse from the inside of the cell to the outside. The water keeps the cell turgid (swollen), so without as much water, the cell shrinks.

Yep and the solution is called hypertonic solution since there is a bigger amounts of salts in solution, And if ur curious on what exactly was happening, the cell membrane was getting shrunk inside the cell since all the way went outside the cell since osmosis(movement of water along the concentration gradient or from high to low concentration)

I got attacked by enough dogs when I was driving for Amazon to completely understand Deliverybro's reaction to a big-ass dog suddenly appearing in your peripheral vision. You never know how a dog is going to react to you. Most of the ones I came across were friendly, but I still have a scar from a piece of shit German Shepherd. Better to just assume every dog is aggressive until you can tell otherwise, especially one so big you wouldn't be able to do anything but die if it decided to jump on you.

Dogs are pretty much the only thing that I worry about when I go on walks. You can be minding your own business when some idiots dog will come running out at you barking and growling like I just killed its family or something. My dog has been bitten around 15 times so far by other dogs. She doesn't trust other dogs and neither do I.

I've got a can of dog spray in the mail that I'm gonna start carrying in case any of them decide to attack. The columnar structures are from Crowley Lake in California. They were not produced BY A VOLCANO. They are the result of water seeping through packed volcanic ash. The Owen's river feeds the lake. The river leeches minerals from the ground on its path from the mountains. That mineral rich water feeds the lake. When the lake level was higher the mineral rich water covered the packed ash layers. Because of is structural composition the ground behaved like a colander. Places where water soaked through mixed with the ash. That material hardened in the ground. Each time the level of the lake rose, more water soaked in and hardened. It is the combination of ash mixed with mineral rich water that created the columns of a natural concrete like material. The block like structure to the columns is from the intermittent nature of the inundation.

The plant fenomenon is called plasmolysis and it is caused because the liquid inside the cells move outside the cells to balance the pressure difference between the salt water outside and the fresh water inside the cell

If you're scared of dogs then yes, obviously 100% of them are going to attack you. That's just how dogs work, they pick up on your emotions and for an animal, there's no reason for another animal that's scared of you to come toward you unless they're about to attack you. I do realize this doesn't really help you feel better but being scared of dogs or indeed any animal at all is kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy. That's why zoo keepers can enter a Tiger's den with no issue while a regular person would get mauled. There's nothing special about them except for the fact that they're not scared.

Fun fact: Normally is the port in Amsterdam not that busy. Once in 5 years there is an event called SAIL where ships and boats from the whole country gather in Amsterdam.

Just a quick explanation of the port of Amsterdam. What you saw in the video was during an event called Sail Amsterdam. The event is hosted every four years. During the event wich spands an couple of days only sailing boats are aloud in the port and people from whole the country come to watch and partisipate. It isn’t always this busy obviously but it is a great thing to watch.

The delivery driver was wearing the vest given to Amazon Flex contractors, who are gig workers that deliver in their own personal cars, and often during hours the van drivers do not drive, so they are habitually more on edge than van drivers. I do it and Amazon will send me down people's country road driveways at 4am in my little orange car. I'm always like "hope i don't get shot!", and then i sometimes carry that sentiment with me into daytime shifts.

Yeah that port of Amsterdam clip was during the Sail Amsterdam event, which only happens once every five years. It's never like that otherwise. Still, respect to that one ferry cutting across the procession back and forth the whole time.
