Each lecture of Swami Sarvapriyananda Maharaj covers the gist of entire Vedantic knowledge. There is lots of repetition in Vedanta verses but it never gets boring. Each time we hear “ Thou art That“ we are closer to the understanding of our own real Nature, evermore in the blissful vicinity of having been immortal. Maharashtrian saint Tukaram said “ Appearing to be made of dust, Tuka is still bigger than the sky! I have swallowed the carcass of this body which was the support of hallucinating samsara. If Tuka is appearing to be living, it is only for the benefit of others ( who are still dreaming).” Listen to Pt. Bhimsen Joshi singing this “ Abhang Anurania Thokada TUKA aakasha evada”.

Consciousness in a mind posture is living its own experiential distortions in the form of subject and objects dualities attributed to it by its own mind posture.
We need to make a clear difference between existential reality and perceptive reality. The screen and movie is the same thing , everything is one , just not in our experience.
Sir you have explained so difficult concept very beautifully and i understood it logically but i dont think it is going to have any effect because if a person is in suffering logic does not work there.I think the only way of liberation is to see it yourself only then the suffering can be ended
The moment you close your eyes and have the innermost or intimate feeling of “I”, you understand the “I-ness” of “I” at once. The moment you feel the “I-ness” of “I”, simultaneously you feel that you are AWARE of “I”. Here, if you ask yourself what you are aware of, immediately you feel and understand that you are aware of your EXISTENCE at the same time. Thus, the moment you feel the “I-ness” of “I”, your realize [1] AWARENESS {of I Am} AND [2] EXISTENCE {of I Am}- simultaneously. Hence, the feeling and understanding of Awareness and Existence is instantaneous and NOT sequential. This is because, I Am- Existence; and, I Am Aware that I Am- Existence. Because I “Exist”, I Am aware of My Existence; because I Am Aware, I Am Aware that I Am Existence. I AM that I AM! Dear Swamiji, your talk [the theoretical aspect] is really brilliant, highly meaningful and eye-opener. My humble salutations [pranaams] to you. However, I feel that your meditation part [the third part of your lecture] is not insightful enough and methodical. I sincerely feel that if you take up Bagavan Buddha’s Technique [original technique and NOT the afterward interpretations, comments etc] and purely base it on Upanishad Tattvaas, then, the indubitably the meditation will really become more powerful, meaningful and useful. This type of meditation [Upanishad Tattvaas + Buddha's Technique] can really change the world of confusion and skepticism towards Advaitha Tattva. Sorry for this comment.

My question is Swamiji, when deep rooted image of myself(Gouri) remains and Advaita knowledge of my TRUE SELF counteracts with it, I watch silently the conversations between the false and true images or selves but how to alleviate it? Should I allow Maya to do its job and False I should enjoy the game?
@ 1:02:40 upon exiting formal meditation sessions of observing objects appearing to witnessing awareness, the practice need not stop, according to Dzogchen as well, we gain even more awakening by noticing "objects" appearing to presence/witnessing awareness during our daily round and in doing so be even more effective in our daily activities.
I ( the Knower or Pramata) knows or can distinguish between the real and unreal. It is still under the veil of Maya, because the knower (Pramata) understands the play of Maya (Power of projecting and Power of veiling). So my question is Knower is not the Pure Consciousness. Knowledge or Awareness can help in climbing the mountain and get dissolved in the mountain, where I, the pure consciousness and the mountain are the same. Am I going in the right direction in my understanding Swami ji. Please help me. Thank you very much for all your talks.
Gouri Chatterjee I didn't quite understand your question, but, following might help. At the ultimate level, the knower is Atma (pure consciousness, existence), the known is Atma, and the knowing is also Atma, because there is nothing else but Atma (or Brahma). However, from the viewpoint of pure consciousness (Atma/Brahma) neither the knower nor the object to be known exist. So, all this is happening only from the viewpoint of the individual self for which the world is manifest. Thus, technically, the knower is the individual self, that is, knowledge is taking place in the mind of the individual self. Thus, that which perceives itself to be an individual self, becomes the knower as the proximate subject, trying to know the object. Atma remains the real subject. In case the 'target' of knowledge is Atma itself, the knowledge still takes place in the mind of the individual self. However, when this knowledge occurs, the perception of individual self itself dissapears.

The most important fact is all the smallest existing particles appear and decay. All the fundamental particles appear and decay very fast that people could not recognize or know. As a result, we think that these things are existing and not decaying.
In the note below, please read last sentence as under: You are the TURIA of Mandukya Upanishad. You are not the person of the waking state, nor the entity of the dream state nor even the blankness of the deep sleep. You are the unchanging Reality witnessing the three states, unaffected, untainted. The states and their contents have no reality apart from you just as the projections have no independent reality apart from the screen.
Existence; we can never objectify the existing Atman - we can only infer Its existence as the essence of existence we experience in all objective thing. Consciousness; we can never objectify the conscious Atman - we can only infer Its Consciousness at the essence of consciousness we experience in our body, mind and intellect. Bliss: an essence beyond my ability to define. Realize; a verb. Perform the act of realization. How does one perform the essence of realization ? I am left with belief and faith - neither of which can move beyond the veil of subject and object. I am stuck in the mind. I am offered a prize that I already AM; without the means to recognize I AM. How can the imaginary self bring the Real Self to realization? I AM lost, I AM helpless, I AM devoid of a solution.
So if I am this infinite consciousness and every experience is through me, why can i only experience one specific set of body, mind and emotions intimately?
Matters or particles cannot be wiped out. It is nature of matter or particles. That means electrons and protons cannot be wiped out or annihilated. Matters or particles have innate property of hotness (heat or temperature) Hardness Cohesiveness or attraction Pushing That means energy of a particle cannot be destroyed because particles cannot be destroyed.
Swami ji, you said that only Brahm remains when universe disappears after every Cosmo cycle....but form where this Brahm came? If Brahm was always there then why can't the universe be the same ( without any creator)?...
I may be wrong but this is what I understood, The empirical universe which we experience is abide by certain laws, mainly of cause and effect. Therefore the universe is ever-changing.something which changes can't be permanent,so it will have an end. One that has an end has beginning also.also from other argument if universe fundamental nature is changing and based on cause n effect there should be a cause for production of Universe also,the first cause can never be known.more over what is changing can't be real because it cannot be eternal. So Vedanta says there is no universe nor cause and effect all this is an illusion. Why this illusion? Well there is only one Brahman, who in his nature himself has Maya by which he manifests himself as universe.maya is not separate quality of Brahman ,as fire has heat by its nature,brahman has Maya in its nature,because of which we see the universe.the Brahman is never born or never perishes.this birth n death ,cause n effect applies only in this empirical world which is again illusion created of Brahman by Maya.so we are also the manifestation of Brahman and our essence is pure consciousness.we don't exist separately from Brahman because we are his manifestation.we are manifestation of Brahman so we are Brahman, the pure consciousness. "Aham brhamasmi".finally There is only Brahman nothing is created out of it nothing can be destroyed from it because if it happens then the Brahman changes, but Brahman is changeless eternal.so this universe is not created it's mere appearance of Brahman.if we observe what Shankaracharya did here, he rejected causation there by killing the question of first cause. He brought Maya there by proving God is eternal.if Maya and negation of cause and effect theory is accepted.then there is no space for any question.all questions are answered by the advita using these arguments.

I sometimes feel that the movie this mind is creating is perhaps not interesting enough and thus this body will be terminated. Also I’m wondering who is exactly in control. Who is the one making decisions… mind, intellect or the universe?
I understand most of what he’s saying. He lost me at, “I can find enjoyment in the joys and suffering in the world”. I can’t find any enjoyment in the idea of children being raped and abused and treated horribly. Can anyone help me out on that one? I just don’t see it or get.
@Muhammad Ali I completely understand. I’m talking about the other side of the coin. I’m talking about the suffering that a child has to feel and experience when he/she is being brutally raped or killed. I know that ultimately, pain is a symptom of the body but it is very real on the level of the mind and experience.
How does Advaita equate pure Consciousness and pure Existence ? I understand and feel conscious experience of some existence. So both Consciousness and Existence exists, I can attest. But I fail to understand how Advaita equates those two entities and makes the whole thing non-dual ??
