Really easy crochet crown, suitable for beginners. Would be great for babies, kids and even teddies! Find and follow me on Instagram! / blossom_crochetuk Yarn was purchased from Aldi UK. Music: www.bensound.com
1. Make long chain in measurement of circumference of the crown you want, and join the two ends, making sure there are no twists. 2. Chain 2, then do a half double crochet (US crochet) all the way around. 3. Chain 3, than into the space you came out of, do two double crochets. 4. Chain 4 (2 for a smaller point) 5. Into the same space as in step 3, do 3 double crochets. 6. Skip 2 stitches, then do a single crochet . 7. Skip two, then do 3 double crochets. Chain 4 or 2, then do 3 double crochets into that same bottom space. Skip 2 stitches, and do a single crochet. Keep repeating this till the end.
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial. I am brand new to crocheting as of 3 days ago, yet I was able to sit down and knit this within 2 hours by following your video. Beautiful!
@@BlossomCrochet ❤️❤️❤️ I made it and tried it on but I love it so much that I’ve been wearing it like it’s apart of me. I’m gonna make a light blue one too
Thanks for the video. An option would be to string on pearls or beads onto your yarn before beginning. Then when doing the peak chain 4, do this instead. chain 2 slide up a bead, chain 2. It places a jewel on the peak and is not a danger to tiny ones.
as a ten year old it came out perfectly! i needed to make one for my 1 year old sister's birthday, i cant get the size right since her head keeps moving around!!!!!
Loved this! I used a 4.5mm hook with pink sparkly alize yarn similar to the one in this tutorial. I made it for my 3yr old daughter. A chain of 72 turned out perfect!
I loved making it, I did make one in adult sized at 77 chains using a 4 ply and a H or 3.75 mm ~ Thanks! I will try to make more for fun:) in smaller sizes.
Hi love. Thanks for sharing! I managed to make this however i worked in rows and then connected at the end with slip stitches. I was wondering if you have a suggestion for how to go about adding color to the “holes” that you suggested putting jewels in. I want to crochet color in rather than adding jewels. Thank you!!
I made it in pink and put little pink pearls in the center of the scallops. This is my go-to when I need a baby shower gift and don’t know much about the mom or baby. Everybody loves a crown!
Thank you for this tutorial! The crown I have completed is one of the first crochet projects I finished, from start to finish as a beginner learning how to crochet for the first time.
Just made this for my 8yr and her doll. She is over the moon with it. Thank you for making such a cute and easy project. Definitely one I will keep using x
Hi! Just wanted to say thank you so much for your sweet, sweet pattern. I just finished making one for my soon-to-be-born grandson for his first photo session. Rather than using wool, I used crochet thread - Aunt Lydia's Metallic Gold Size 10 to be exact. As he will be a newborn, I checked my daughter's vaccination booklet for her cranial size at birth (she is now 25) and it was 13" so I added 1 inch more just to be sure in case my grandson was a bigger baby than she was. So I then chained away and kept measuring till I reached the 14 inches on a ruler to the nearest multiple of 6 which was 102 chains - wool would have been less chains of course. Anyway, your instructions were so clear and simple and I finished it in about a half hour. It came out SO amazing. Thank you again so much!!!
Oh my, just made this and sent a photo to my daughter (who is expecting our granddaughter in three months time ) and she absolutely loves it 💕 super duper cute and it only took me 20 minutes for the first one. Off to the wool shop to buy some sparkly wool 👸🏻🤴🏻👸🏻Thank you xxx
Thank you for this tutorial. I’m new to crocheting and found this tutorial very easy to follow. Made this crown for my daughter’s 12 year old pug (little Miss Jane Austen-Eyre). We refer to her as royalty on a regular basis. The crown as a huge success and she received a lot of smiles during a walk in her doggy stroller.
I love this super simple crown. I wish I could have found that beautiful yarn you used but I was short I time so I used the closest I could find. Caron Simply Soft Party in Silver Sparkle. I used a 5mm hook and a starting chain of 48 for my newborn granddaughter. Thank you for such a great little project.
Needed a gift for a newborn. This was perfect. Made crowns for the newborn and older brother to be and father. Tiara for mother and older sister to be...
Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I have made one for my granddaughter for her birthday on August 30. Her name is Reina Joann so this tiara is fit for her. Reina means queen.
i just finished two really big projects and needed something i could crochet to relax and this is so perfect:) your tutorial is so easy to follow and your voice is lovely
What a great idea! These are lovely! We have similar yarn in the US. I too go through 2 loops in the beginning chain 99% of the time. Great instructions! My younger granddaughters will especially love these! Thanks you!
Enjoyed the video. A very simple project with nice results. My kind of project! A plus from watching your video is your soft quiet voice. My granddaughter has American Dolls (a popular brand name in the U.S) and this will make great gifts for her and her dolls. Now, just finding time to do these with summer here. ;-)
Soo very cute... a pleasure to crochet along with you once again, I love how your calm in your explanations and your voice is very easy to listen to (no I didn’t hear any cat snoring, although it would have been funny to hear), your hands are very clear in direction of the hook when explaining a stitch. Thank you I really enjoyed this !
I've just made myself one (and I'm 36 years old hehe) all ready for the jubilee celebration at work tomorrow (I work in a school and we finish tomorrow for half term so won't be there for the actual jubilee) x
@@BlossomCrochet Oh that's ssooo good. ☺️ My boys school aren't doing anything. 😭 I'm gutted for them but we are going to have a jubilee party with the other people in our blocks of flats instead (there's 5 families in ours and the 1 next door so 10 families celebrating together ❤️) I've made my crown in sparkling purple yarn with a yellow slip stitch border around the top. ☺️ X
I'm the Activities Director at a nursing home and think these would be great for residents to wear on their birthdays! Then they can give them to grandchildren if they want. How could I make these more manly?
HI! Thanks so much for sharing this pattern. I just made it and it came out pretty much the way yours did in the end. Just FYI, I think that maybe it is incorrect to instruct in multiples of six. I made it again in MULTIPLES OF SEVEN and it worked out perfectly. There are seven stitches from SC TO SC. Thanks again.
Hi Rebekah my 2year old granddaughter came round today dressed in her unicorn tutu dress and I thought she needs a crown to wear with that and remembered seeing one on your channel , iv just finished it and it’s adorable I used the same silver yarn as you it’s just the cutest thing she will love it thank you , it was so quick and easy to follow 😊Amanda , xx , hope you are keeping well 💕
I love this so much, I have an idea what to do for my friends and I in my book club I'm so excited to make these now, very easy to follow. I hope I can find this pretty yarn😊
I have a suggestion which I have seen on the internet / Pinterest etc. Its a beanie with the crown around it. My niece is a huge Royalist and really wants a beanie with a regal royal crown on it... Maybe you could dezign such an ostentatious beanie? or 'winter hat'???
Hello, I just wanted to say thank you so much for sharing your tutorial, it was very easy to follow. I just recently started crocheting over a year ago and do crochet blankets for the children's hospital as a volunteer. I cannot wait to make more of these crochet tiara/crowns to give the little ones. Thanks again.😊
