someone explain to me why I'm 30 years old and can't remember anything important from college but the migrate/hibernate/insulate song still lives rent free in my brain
Used to watch this, Swinging Safari, Tropical Rainforests and Dinosaurs and Other Creature Features constantly. Forgot what the series was called until I found a couple of these videos. Great to revisit for nastolgia.
(3:19) S-s-s-summertime, in the arctic ocean! Middle of July, the ice is in motion. It's not real warm but it's real real bright! The sun stays up all day and all night! But winter's on its way, no matter what you say. Darkness is coming for a long long stay. The ocean's gonna freeze, the storms are gonna wail, whoever stays outside is gonna freeze his tail! So find a warm place to keep yourself in, before winter hits! (it's back to you, spin!)
What a wonderful video about polar wildlife down in Antarctica 🇦🇶 and polar wildlife up in the Arctic Circle! I used to watch this wildlife video from National Geographic on VHS 📼, but now I watch it on DVD 📀. The songs about the Arctic animals way up north in the tundra and the Arctic 🥶 Ocean 🌊 are cool 😎 to be cold 🥶, how animals of the Arctic and the Antarctic migrate from one place to another and back to the place they were born, hibernate throughout the winter ❄️ by sleeping 😴, insulate by gaining weight, and swim 🏊♀️ in frozen seawater underneath ice floes to survive, different species of penguins 🐧 living in the cold 🥶, snowy Antarctic around the South Pole and other warmer places in the southern part of the Earth 🌎🌍🌏, and how the continent of Antarctica 🇦🇶 is the last great wilderness to explore.
If anyone is wondering, those screaming and croaking/cawing sounds at 14:04 to 14:08 were made by common (or northern) ravens. They’re one of the birds hardy enough to stay in the cold northern forests all year long. They often follow wolves and feed on any leftovers if the canines make a kill.

"Emperor, King, Chinstrap, Gentoo, Macaroni, Rockhopper (that's you), New Zealand's Fiordland and Snare's Island, just to name a few...Black-Footed, Yellow-Eyed, Royal, Adelie, Erect-Crested and Little Blue, South America's Humbolt, Galapagos, Magellanic, hey fella, that's you!" Took a while for me to memorize this back in the day, but man, it was so catchy and fun.
@@allstarpterosaur850 36:19 but when you put all the food chains together you get the food web, and Yes the earless seals have climbed to the near top of the food web.
@Will Rice You know when you mentioned the leopard seal, it totally reminded me of a scene from Happy Feet when Mumble was being chased by the leopard seal.
