I haven't seen the recent ips screens but amoled is far superior to any ips screen from a yr or two ago. Even if u have a good camera the images will look rubbish on ips.
Now we see xiaomi redmi note 10 Pro with amoled 120 hz and these phones are now redundant.realme will have to come out with competitive amoled with 108mega pixel.
Other reviews point out there's a "smooth mode" on board, which appears to work quite well. And, 90Hz the processor mneans an extra burden to the chip and the battery.
The camera is actually quite impressive, and not just the back cameras, and unlike the Poco X3 which don't have EiS on the selfie cam(even though the photo quality is very decent) this Realme have that EiS, something even some flagship still manage to not give one
Sounds okay, with 8 gigs of RAM, should be quick loading with pre used apps. Seems there's always a trade-off with hardware. I really don't mind the poly build, wish they'd use metal buttons though. I'm really abit peeved that camera is the biggest thing people worry about. Remember, these are supposed to be, PHONES, with a camera. Not the other way around. We need great phone first, then the cameras. Did you ever give the price? Good review 👍.
NFC available on UK and French versions according to the respective websites. PS great review but more detailed audiophile additions would be welcome (noticeably absent in all phone reviews!) - bluetooth aptx HD quality, bit rates, DAC chip specs etc.
I'm using realme 7 pro so far literally it's good .... majorly pros are more than cons .... Not even a single smartphones are perfect there are some flaws ... But it's great deal for these price segment...
Purchased the 8/128GB version with NFC last week. Very happy with the phone, no bloatware or pop-up ads thus far. Great value for money (I paid €240). 👍
i totally agree about the 2mp sensor and actually about the "protrait sensor"..they could give us 2 sensors ,1 normal and a good ultra wide. ***for the cheapest versions i would go to day : Skip the 3 comeras all together and give us One main camera but a good one! :)
Great in-depth review as always, Chris. Thank you! Your thoughts, please? Given you have reviewed quite a few Xioami devices recently almost within the same price range (Redmi K30 Ultra, Redmi K30 Pro Zoom, POCO X3 NFC, POCO F2 Pro, Realme 7 Pro, Realme 7 and Realme X3 SuperZoom), which one would you pick as best among them?
It depends what you consider to be a mid-range and on your local pricing. I own MI 9T and have nothing but praise for its AMOLED screen. MIUI is not my cup of tea but the hardware is rather great for the price.
Hello,Can you tell me about some things? 1)Does it have a Realme stock dialer and messaging app or Google Dialer and Messaging app? 2)Does it have automatic call recording feature? 3)Does it Support HDR10? Please Reply.
They don't have the secondary noise cancellation mic (i used Indian varient eu model i guess have that) so that to reduce noise they cut down the volume That's the problem with the mic I don't think they can perfect fix with updates they can improve it though
@@h3941 Can I ask a totally different question. Between the S20+ and the OnePlus 8T which one do you think by paper takes overall better selfies and a wider field of view on the rear camera?
Hi Chris, sorry to interpose this on this video but can I ask you a quick question- the BMax Y13 has been 'upgraded' to Yuga Pro using a m5 6y54 processor. Would you consider this worth getting? Cheers 😊!
It depens on what are you looking for.if u watch youtube or netflix all day,it is nice to have an amoled display panel. Perfomance in those devices u mentioned are more or less very similiar. Realme 6 pro and poco x3 has the best speaker in my opinion
The price for 7 pro here is quite expensive. Just 50~70$ more and i could get poco f2 pro. And im still salty the redmi 10x 5g got no global release.. that phone still the king of midrange for me atm
Chris Realme 7 Pro is going on sale for just 217 Euros and Poco X3 will cost me 23 Euro more with shipping. Which one is worth buying? +Realme will be 8/128Gb version and X3 6/128
I need advice . you did review also on older realme 5 pro in past. Which one is better for videos and movies in your opinion. I do not need NFC. So realme 5 pro is now in my country 189 Eur and realme 7 pro is 299. Thx
Hi, Thank you for the review. How good is maximum brightness and outdoor visibility? Compared with some other phone or on it's own. The only reason I haven't bought Realme 6 pro phone so far is that all reviews mention their very low brightness (max around 450 nits). 7 pro has all the ingridients I preffer but I'm still wary ordering it cause few reviews also mentioned that 7 Pro could be brighter, thou they said that that max brightness is in 575- 585 range. That confuses the hell out of me cause everybody was full of praise for 6 Pro which is basicaly unusable outdors but dont hear no praise for 7 pro wich by Nits count is much much brighter than 6. It seems to me that everybody wants 90Hz, never mind that you can't actually see what's on the screen!! Can you tell me your experience with outdoor use of 7pro vs 6 pro. Thanks
High refresh rate AMOLED component is still quite expensive and would bump up the price even more, that's the deal with these mid-range phones. I guess that's the sacrifice you have to make, you could only have either a 60Hz AMOLED or a high refresh rate IPS.
Nice review and nice video. At Realme page and at gsmarena page, it shows that it has NFC. Can you confirm if your unit has it or not ? If we compare the cameras performance with POCO X3 NFC, which is better?
Good review Chris. Can't understand why they make the display with a cutout and such a big chin. Would look better if it had a small chin and small forehead.
No NFC in Europe is a very odd decision. I completely agree with the camera points, these awful macros and sub par ultrawides need to stop. Makes no sense at all. In fact the whole strategy is wrong. Why they don't just have 2 good sensors for main and ultrawide and work on optimising and refining them for lower end models as time goes on. Same sort of strategy google had with pixels or apple with iphones.
Too expensive for a fairly average phone, unfortunately. Last week Mi 10 lite 5g was selling for £239 on Amazon and the Moto G 5G is selling at about the same price point. To break into this marketplace the Pro needed to have a better camera and sound - the 7 is clearly pitched at a better price and has a clearer target market. This just seems to be undercooked, which is a genuine shame.
Too expensive imo. You can get the 5G capable Moto 5G Plus wnd Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite for the same price. Or 4G wise to could get the Samsung M51 with that 7k monster battery
Was planning to buy this phone since it had a 64MP Sony camera and AMOLED screen. But after knowing that the gallery crashes. I'm having second thoughts now.
Hey sir! Erm this is not related to this video at all but I really wanna know this before u get the laptop I wanna get. Is the telcast f6 ram and space and proccers upgradable?
@@Techtablets well I'm on a budget and I was wondering if there are any budget laptops between 300-400 I also wanna be able to play decent game on one as well any ideas?
Pkboss I’ve got both and believe me... the mi note 10 lite has the better main camera .... I cannot speak about the selfie camera because I never use the front facing cameras... I don’t take selfie’s.
@@pkboss8324 mi note 10 lite is far more premium and gets my vote overall... The amoled display is beautiful, it runs smooth with no lag .. camera is great 👍👍
very nice review.. keep up the good job. but i think that realme have lost the train to xiaomi/poco/redmi. regarding quality/price. xiaomi offers more.. for a slightly cheaper phone.
Some reviews had mentioned that it comes with Google's phone and messages apps as default (like xda-developers review) but here it seems to be the realme versions are there. is this region specific?
@@Techtablets well you gave sample sir but Sometimes sample is not enough cause we hearing through the microphone u recorded & our phones so hard to distinguish until u mention
Do you know it has one major problem with video recording ? Your voice will be played late in your video. It can so frustrating like if you want bang phone on the wall or on floor. People are facing the same issues till date in India. I dont know about the European version and other countries. Guys check it on the store before buying online by luring with flashy discounts. Peace!
@@Techtablets There's a lot of people looking for this comparison. In fact, in the mid-range market, there seem to be just three phones out with headphone jack, SD card option, (stereo speakers) and a good camera: Poco X3, Realme 7pro (those two mainly differ by microphone and screen) and the galaxy A51/71. Would be nice to have a good comparison.
