Hi Mike, just joined and this is a great video. I make my own characters in zbrush and animate with adv skeleton rig. I have starting trying the following workflow though. 1. Make zbrush mode, zwrap to reallusion CC3 base mesh which rigs it but without real controllers, just fbx and bunch of over 60 face blendshapes. I then export this as fbx to maya and use advanced skeleton plugin to animate. I then export this animation to unreal as you can choose to export from adv sleleton to unreal with unreal skeleton. What i don't know is, if i match the blendhape lib between the reallusion character in maya and export to unreal, whether the blenshapes will also come. I may by a 30 min pay as you go woith mocap x to test it. Just wondering if you had any thoughts? Sorry for a tough first quesion lol. Cheers, Garry Oh, and btw, the body is rigged from reallusion when put into adv skeleton in maye, but no face controls, only brings individual blendshapes for use in animation shape editor but i guess it makes no difference how you pose the face to match as long as it matches th refrence? Thanks. If my character already has the arkit blendshapes available is there a way to bypass the manual pose setting part and get it to work directly with these existing blendshapes?
Thanks for sharing. I had been interested in something like this. So, I purchased it. However, I can easily get the real-time capture to connect/work over the network, but I cannot get it to connect using USB. I am using Windows 10. Any ideas regarding what is preventing it from working over USB? My PC does identify the phone when connected by USB (I get the message associated with accessing its storage, etc.. So, the problem is with the app not using it. I reached out to the MocapX team and they have not responded.
Hi Mike. The app doesn't let me connect through USB. I get an error saying I need to upgrade to pro version which will cost me around £240 . Could you please confirm if this app was free to use only for a limited time?

Hello, MocapX is for iOS devices only. The Android version will come in the future, but for now, we are not satisfied with the results of current face recognition technology on Android phones.
hi mike, it‘s an amazing plug-in, but quite costly and data privacy-wise problematic. the app insists on iTunes being installed on windows. why would they want us to do this? and face recognition is a data protection tool, not something to play with. why is the selfie camera not sufficient?
Hello, thank you for your questions. We use iTunes for communication between the iPhone and Maya. Our mocap technology uses the infra camera and the laser dot projector (Face ID) as it is far more accurate than relying on video data. You can also reach us with more questions at hello@mocapx.com.

6:25 you talk about all the movement you have. But what about all the ones you don't! No head rotation! WHy? No ability to raise single eyebrows etc. But really, no head movement doesn't get a comment?
