A Rean mod for Vergil makes sense, since he relies on the Iaijutsu style of swordsmanship, like an actual Samurai, and Rean technically classifies as a samurai in terms of RPG Job classes.
I am absolutely astonished that a mod of this series exist for devil may cry. Such a shame that not many people know about the series, best story I've seen in my 28 years playing jrpgs.
IIRC Rean delaying every boss for 4 game straight into perfect victories is the easiest and most effective way to play the games. He stalls enough for Laura and Emma to nuke accordingly.
Now all we need is a musical genius to take some classic and awesome battle music from Trails and split it into multiple levels of awesome based on the combat ranking.
Honestly this is the coolest mod out there. Never thought Rean would pop up in a dmc mod cause Trails is on the niche side for now. Hopefully Kuro will change that cause Kuro has the coolest combat to ever be invented in an rpg.
Such a shame that this series isn't that known. Btw, you talk about kuro, so I'm guessing you played or watched it to some extent, as well as the other games. What is so good about it? Is it better than the previous system? I only know that there's real time and turn based combat, but that's as far as I know. Also, in case you reply I would appreciate if you avoid spoilers, I am currently starting cold steel 4
@@CloudStrife777FF*spoiler free* I'm currently playing Kuro, about 1/3 through. And the battle system is Amazing, at first i was concerned by the real time and turn based, but what i can tell is real time is for thrash mobs and turn based for real encounters. The turn based system there is both familliar and feels refreshingly different in the same time, it's a weird sensation, but in a good way. Overall the graphisms, animations are one level above everything else, while Hajimari did felt like a Cold Steel Encore, with many of the old combat animations re-used, everything is new there and it's thrilling. There's like new ailments, and quite a lot of new features tbh, while some old ideas are gone (like the orders system) One thing I might dislike is how the turn order is shown and how the buff are applied to the turn order system, but it's minor point, i might get used to it more
@@CloudStrife777FF Late to the party, but decided to add my 2 cents. Kuro is definitely the fastest entry into the new arc we've gotten so far. Story picks up quite early and only accelerates more towards the end. And Van (the new protagonist) matches the refreshing pace quite nicely, because he is very mature by Kiseki PoV standards. Long story short, it felt like a breath of fresh air for the series.
Alright so idk how its done but at 1:04 I just get the feeling if in a different setting Rean's new S-class with all the forms combined would look something like that. Very wholesome it turned out like that! Great video btw!
You know despite the fact that the game itself has him moving slow, if trails of cold steel was an action game this would be exactly how Rean would fight
Well that's a cross over I never knew I needed to see happen. Damn! Imagine if this happens in a Project X Zone 3 concept/w Trails guest IP privilege like Lucina and Chrom. Another must have meeting.
I want a trails game in a full action style so bad. The new one apparently can switch between action and then traditional combat but it seems like the action combat is just used for killing weaker mobs. The traditional mode is still the main combat type of the game and what you need to use to do most of your damage. They need to localize or remake Ys vs Sora no Kiseki. That games action combat looked cool and it's a nice excuse to have all Ys and trails characters meet.
@@darreldavid4653 me too but unfortunately the director saw the repetitive nature of the gameplay and also mentioned how they achieved everything they could with the turn base system so they wanted to start experimenting. Doesn’t make sense considering we already have ys that fills in that full action game style.

If you wanna stretch it further, both V and Rean have similar hair styles but with the latter being a bit straighter and the former wavier. Devil Trigger/Spirit Unification changing their hair from black to white as well, checks out
I gotta work on commissioning that later this year. I’m hoping Angie’s bike is available to use for Cavaliere, Crow’s gun for E&I and I’ll figure out the rest 👀
You have to have Fluffymodmanager installed. And then place the mod that’s in the description of this video in the mod subfolder that says DMC5 in Fluffymodmanager’s folder and then open Fluffy and click install
