So who else does a little bit of gardening on any scale ?

Hello again Pete. Knife is pretty cool. Haven't grown much in the past few years, but the best tomatoes are always garden ripened. My Dad got me hooked on a variety called Super Sioux. Also blue Hubbard squash is the best. We never separated our garden scraps for the chooks, so I don't know if onions flavor the eggs on a bird or not. We just gave them the scraps. Are you giving the hens crushed oyster shells? It helps the eggs. Hubs and I have the rona and are recovering. Sadly it means that my camping trip is canceled unless I travel south. Take care, be safe, look forward to your next video as always.

Sorry to hear you got the sweet and sour sniffles again once was enough for me from now on only common cold or flu . Yes knife is a cool one and fun to play with but there is much more affordable knives out for sure but it is a buck and I like buck knives. I am about ready to film a fall tidy up on my garden beds I think you will be inspired and it is almost a zero budget thing . And I have heard of those tomatoes the squash I have not mine are Waltham butternut and are pretty tasty. I have always heard that onions and garlic are two things you shouldn’t feed a laying hen. And oyster shell is definitely good for nice hard egg shells .Any day now I am expecting them to start laying I really miss those dark orange yokes that only a free range bird lays . Hope you guys get to feeling better fast we tripled down on the B and D vitamins and a few others too seemed to help .

@@1822MCAdv We will get through it. Have been doubling the vitamins etc.. Have ideas for some bucket gardening for spring. We start plants in late January, so they have a decent chance to grow. I want a tea garden next year. All the herbs that make a lovely tea. A bucket garden should contain the mint and such. Also going to try garbage can potatoes. Squash as an ornamental instead of flowers should work as well. Take care my friend, distance hugs to you and yours.

They failed as a SEAL knife but the 184 went on to inspire the M9 bayonet made by Phrobis / Buck… which was also hated for its weight and tendency to break. Be careful with the tip on your 184. Early ones breaking was an issue. Which isn’t surprising with people abusing a heavy knife with a relatively thin tip.

Thank you for adding that , for me it settled a debt and 30 years later it is a collector. I am shocked at its value. It’s a cool knife but is very limited in use it cuts bamboo like butter. Mostly a ridiculous kitchen knife but still fun to take out once in awhile when I feeling strong enough to carry it 😂 if I broke the tip it would still be a good club . I am a fan of buck knives and sure one of my grandkids will love it just hope they treat right . My favorite buck is my 119 love my 110 and 112 too but the 119 is always ready now that I’m older that matters would probably cut my thumb off trying to open my 110 these days 😆

I had one of those ridiculous knives a long time ago. Can't remember what became of it.

Yes they are over the top for sure but they are a Buck . I never really used it because of the weight of it then a few years ago I find out that they have a collector’s valve and I’m like OMG it settled a 40 dollar debt over 30 years ago and now it’s worth what ! So now I really don’t want to abuse it like I could and should but next time I go out I plan on taking it and giving it a light workout.
