I did the same car took use Cadillac springs and but them on my Buick . Got my springs from the junker cheaper worked out perfect. Saved lots of money too!!

No, dont touch the upper shock bolts unless you want to remove the shock. Just the lower shock nut has to be undone to remove the coil spring.

Have you thought about installing rear wagon springs and wagon shocks on the sedan rear ?? The rear wagon springs are WIDER and SHORTER.And cost very little $..

Does it matter how you put the new coil in or are they the same at both ends?

I have an Olds Delta88 1978. I have changed al my 4 coil springs and frond chock absorbers 2 years ago. Because in europe the petrol is expensive we put in LPG tanks, and because of that weight I have chosen for rear coil springs that are little heavier when pressed to the max. and I have putt in rear airs-shocks 5 years ago. Now my car is leaning left more every month. when I push my car on all 4 corners its obviously rear-left not good, but my "new" coil spring is not broken? WTF can it be?
