Forgot to show the 12v cigarette lighter plug at the rear of the X70, it's ready to use from the factory* Dashcam used: 70mai 1S
Today, we try to keep the wire dangling to the MINIMUM. This is a clean install of dashcam at the rear of the Proton X70. To avoid obstructions on the rear windshield, we chose this dashcam for it's compact, slim design.
If you don't have the patience, better leave it to the accessories shop guys.

I just completed rear cam on my x50. Damn that rubber pipe was really pain in the ass. It’s a bit smaller compared to x70

wow, u just give me better idea for low quality rear cam in 2in1 issue. It's better just buy 2 different dashcam with same quality camera because back view is also important as front view. Thanks

The video is for an independent rear camera not a 2 in 1 version.

It doesn't. Same as all cars. This dashcam is not fitted with parking surveillance.

Hi...at 1:36 how did you take out the rubber? Just pull it? The rubber can easilu pulled out or there is some glue on it?

The weatherstrip? They are not glued on, you can pull them out of any cars, also be it doors or boot. On this case, the x70 has extra bitumen on it for extra weatherproofing, just a bit messy, nothing unusual.

Hi bro, im having trouble connecting my 70mai to the app. I can locate it on my iphone wifi and entered the password but when going into the app, it cannot locate. Did u have the issue?

Hey man, have u tried the different camera options? Especially when they are catered to different markets. There is 1s etc. Make sure the model is correct. Cheers.

Boss, any difference between connecting rear cam to the rear power supply compared to connecting it to the front cam?

@@undertreemechanic I usually see people connect rear cam to front cam by hiding the cable inside the roof. But you’re going the other way by connecting to the rear power supply. I malas wanna go hide the long cable inside the roof so was considering connecting to rear power supply like you but was wondering if there’s any difference or pros & cons between the 2 method?

Ah, but they are 2 different kind of setups. The former is recording at the same time in the same device. Mine is 2 standalones. Good is, if 1 doesn't work, the other should be.

Hello, do you mean for front dashcam installation? We usually run it to one of the side USB chargers beside the shifter lever. There are many videos around for the fronts.

@@undertreemechanic Oh you are using 70mai 1s. I thought it was A800 series with the rear camera which required connection to the front dashcam.

Oh, no, sorry. But it should be the same, but the cable should be more than 2x as long to hide it.
