yo dude, I would LOVE to hear more about the deskmate 4.8 gal right behind you. I love that tank SO MUCH. Some more cool features or mods that you can explain on the tank would help me a lot, because I have the same tank, and I'm looking to add coral, anemonies, and yeah.

I always hear people say “oil scavenge pump” and never get a recommendation for one exactly lol. I suppose its easy to find. But great tips. I remember watching your build series before and love the process. Currently in the process of boosting my 370z needs quite a few mods before we hit it. I would say for the VQ oil cooler and differential mods are the most important, not necessarily coilovers. Last thing you need is your axle snapping or driveshaft bouncing out of place. Get some upgraded bushings and I suggest even replacing the diff with a 1.5 way or 2 way anything. Get all that power down. A diff brace as well. But yeah, oil cooler is probably the most necessary mod for the power and keeping the engine alive longer. Or less risk rather.

So sorry for the delay in responding but I agree! I am running all polyurethane bushings and it made a huge difference!

Any other supporting mods you added besides the ones you mentioned in the video? For example: will the fuel system need upgraded?

I use turbowerx exa pump on my mid mount and the rear mounts i've built for friends/customers. pricy as hell yeah but i know of one here going on 4 years working fine and mines over 2 years already working fine. mind you, i mean the "exa pump" model with metal fittings, because the "base model" pump with plastic fittings, that one failed on multiple cars, not cause of the fittings but cause of the specs for the application. but it's $400 lol, im sure and hope there's cheaper ones that people have been successful with long term. sometimes the wastegate placement can be TOO efficient also, causing the back pressure to help open the wastegate prematurely and rather than boost creep, you got boost...uhh idk down creep? lol, example, 10 psi spring opening at 7psi or something, happened to me as well as opposed to boost creep on my brothers rear mount. GTR plugs are a good choice. along with those supporting mods, tires, suspension, brakes, (i got akebonos too, good budget-ish brake upgrade choice), worth mentioning an oil cooler, and bigger radiator is also highly recommended which of course i see you have an oil cooler, oh and pcv breather kit / catch can. stock pcv system is not meant for boost otherwise you're jamming boost into the crankcase, creating an ideal situation for blown rear main seals, valve cover leaks, increased piston ring stress and so on, gotta let the engine breathe.

Thank you for bringing all this up! From parts to placement this is why research is such a huge step! Going for that big power is fun but can come with a lot of heartache if not planned properly! Thank you for your contribution 💪

I can vouch for AGP scavenge pump. I have been using it for over a year on my setup, a friend also runs one on his drag car.. No oil catch tank on my turbo also.

What kind of pipe did you use for the intake side? Can we get a video on the piping?

HEY im about the do mines g37 am using a comp aircooled turbo 6767 but im stuck at which piping is best from ypipe and from turbo to intercooler and from intercooler to throttle bodies little help b great ,application is for drag racing only auto vr30 tranny
@blackpearlmedia7797
@blackpearlmedia7797 Год назад
I would probably go 3 in from y-pipe to turbo. 2 and 1/2-in from turbo to intercooler and step up from 2 and 1/2 to 3 in where the mass air flow sensor is. That part is key.
@infinitibossauto
@infinitibossauto Год назад
@@blackpearlmedia7797 ive been advice 2.5 from ypipe but seems every opinions is different lol idk what to do heard 2.5 to 3 make no difference
@Sonickart
@Sonickart Год назад
depends on your power goals but being a g37, a 3 inch pipe from the y pipe to the turbo would be plenty good, and 2.5 charge pipe to intercooler, and ideally, 3 inch piping from intercooler to throttle bodies to allow the MAF to read more air and allow tuning of 500hp+ otherwise you'd be limited around high 400s on the stock 2.5 maf housing sizes. you can technically keep 2.5 piping from the intercooler to throttle bodies but then you'd need the uprev mafs, and 2 of them, way more expensive than just using 3 inch pipe, you can use stainless, cut a hole and weld a maf flange adapters onto them, or just use a 3 inch maf adapter with some couplers, less pretty but still works. goes without saying, as soon as you have those larger diameter maf housings, you need a tune to run them.
