For me personally Id switch the mirror and the nightstand. I feel like I would want to look at myself one last time real quick before going out the door to make sure I looked okay. Also, when walking into the room the nightstand wouldnt be right in your face. Id also turn/rotate the bookshelf to cover the corner of the room so it would give more space between the pieces and not all be on one wall

I suggest turn the bookshelf so it’s on the side of the window, so that way it faces the room door and won’t be as cluttered

Maybe you should try getting rid of the big gold shelve thing and putting the mirror in the corner next to the tv. It would open up the room and make it minimal ;)) Btw I LIVE for your room makeover videos

I think you need a piece of art on the wall to balance the wall with the bookshelf and dresser. Something minimal but still distracting from the blank white space

Personally I would move the bookshelf so that the back is sitting against the wall with the window on it, but otherwise live how this looks

I know you said you don’t want to spend money but I think if you had one large rectangular or square piece of artwork on the wall opposite the TV it might make the current room placements more appealing! Maybe make it, paint over a cheap one you find? Paint with Green and golds. 🤩 just a thought! Change is hard, let it set in a few days to get a true feeling!

Ok Ashley, I have an idea. Put the bed facing the window in the far corner (from where it is scoot it to the right) It will be comfy & cozy! Put the nightstand next to the bed and the mirror next to it and have pretty sunlight behind u for mirror pics. Maybe add wall art or a floating plant in the area to even height differences. Put the gold shelf in front of the bed along the wall adjacent to the floating shelves along with the plant under the floating shelves sort of close to the window so it gets good light! Put the chair in the corner to the right of the window with the lamp next to or behind it for lighting and keep the dresser where it is! Love you and your videos!

100% Love everything about it but definitely think that the bookshelf next to the dresser is too much so I would put the bookshelf where the chair is right now and put the floating shelves and the chair on the other side so when you walk in and see your window the shelves on both sides of the window!! I love change and refreshing a space, but your room before was an entire vibe and aesthetic.

I’d put the mirror where the plant was, next to the chair so you can the natural light when you look at outfits or do selfies. Then, I’d move the bed over a touch and maybe put the bookshelf on the opposite side of the bed that end tables on. Then put the plant next to the dresser.

You should push the bed to the wall and put light in the corner next to it and then on the other side u should put miror and night stand, and maybe you could use a rug, to balance everything out :)

You could rotate the bookshelf to the wall that corners with it (might feel less cluttered)

I like changing up my living spaces too. I think it’s a nice refresh. Personally I wouldn’t move the bed. For me, I like the bed directly across from the tv. I just think it flows better. Or if you’re it back on your original wall but slid it down move having the small nightstand where the shelf was.

I love the chair nook! I’m thinking other than artwork needed on the walls, what if the lamp went either behind the nook chair or away completely. And the bookshelf went on the other side of the bed where the mirror is and put the mirror in the corner of the room where the bookshelf is. Just a thought idk how it would all look lol

the big plant on the dresser seems overwhelming, so maybe move that somewhere? and then if the books are more organized, maybe by color, that could help too!

At my old house after being there for only a year I rearranged my room 3 times and was still never fully happy with it so I see where you are coming from. Personally I would add maybe like a macrame piece or easy simplistic artwork on the wall above your bed to draw your eye up and see the whole picture.

I personally would find a smaller shelf, maybe two minimalist shelves on each side of your dresser, but I agree with Terryn! 😍

I think return the lamp next to the bed and put the mirror in a more practical place. It doesn’t look comfortable to use it where it is now next to the bed. Loved the video! ❤️

u should place ur bookshelf where ur blue chair originally used to be since according to me it will look great as u walk in ur room and ur tv wall will look less cluttered, also u should put up some fun pictures or frames behind ur bed and where the blue chair is now placed :)))

I liked the lamp in the corner of the bed and the night stand 🙌🏼 I will put the mirror in the empty wall next to the bed, not exactly centered but closer to the blue chair and DEFINITELY turn the shelf so it will the door 😘

One long shelf high above your bed could work! It’s still minimal but it also fills in the space

I would put the chair back where it was with the plant and the table. Move the floating shelves to the other side above the chair. Put the bookshelf on the other side (where you moved the blue chair) parallel to the window wall. Switch the nightstand and mirror around! :)

Large wall art needed on big wall , take shelf unit and put on wall left of dresser, put mirror catty corner where big lamp was moved ( too big for room), do the ceiling fixture alisha mentioned - this will make room feel “balanced”

I have a idea of a way you could do it that I think would look very nice 😁 I would love the bed at the window and keep the chair where it is then I would move the nightstands next to it on the right the dresser and the TV would stay where it is and at the bottom of the bed on the wall where is currently in this video I will put the tall shelves. I would put the mirror on the left of the shelves so I guess they would be more to the right hope this helps!

Turn the shelves 90 degrees, put the lamp back in the corner and put the blanket basket over there to "add more stuff" and then hang some of your frames on the wall above your bed using command strips!

I feel like if you did something with the blank wall on the mirror side of the bed you'd like it more. As a fellow neat freak (lol), it's definitely the fact that the nightstand side is super busy with the dresser + bookshelf vs the completely empty wall opposite to it. Even though the chair and lamp were there previously, it was more like an open nook vs the heaviness of the bookshelf rn. Hope this helps! xo.

My personal opinion move the mirror where the nightstand is and put the nightstand on the other side then bring the bookshelf over where the chair is and then put the chair back where it was with the lamp then I think it would look cute but if you don’t like my idea that’s fine too I think it looks good though!

Move the bookshelf to the wall I’m with the window, then put the light back by the bed with that basket under the light, and the mirror between the vanity and closet door.

Heeey, from Denver! Put the shelf where the mirror is, scooch the bed and nightstand closer to the end of the wall. Place the mirror on the right side of the window, and that way the dresser and tv are alone on that wall. Put the lamp behind the chair so it hangs over it.

Put the mirror diagonally in that corner!! Love it!!

You could shift the book shelf 90 degrees so its on the same wall as the window same area just not next to the dresser, move the tall lamp behind the blue chair like you had it when it was in the other corner and put the mirror next to the bed just on a corner angle.

I think if you got a large piece of art, or could possibly hang the mirror horizontally on the wall by your bed, and possibly declutter the stuff on the bookshelf it could balance the room a bit more. I know we all love a good full length mirror for OOTD pics, but you guys do have one in the hallway upstairs and in the living room, soooo...
