He makes a great distinction - showing how Van Til equivocated the word “know”.

It is soooo good to hear a teacher teach what a real apostle is. The false teachers that purchase their apostleship these days are pitiful and need to sit and listen to this real sober teaching by a man that R C respected immensely and I do as well. Nothing he is saying is sugar coated and that's why it feels like a cold glass of water in the desert that we are living in right now. What a blessing to have these videos, R C knew these were gold and wanted to leave these for the future and they are a Godsend.The love and graciousness of our Lord is beyond my comprehension.

Although Sproul is more popular and well known than Gerstner in the present day.. I believe centuries from now, it is Gerstner who will be quoted and referenced by the church as the titan between the two. This is no slight against Sproul, who has influenced me more than anyone, but hearing Gerstner it has become clear to me that everything Sproul taught has been rooted in what Gerstner passed to him, and as the Scriptures say, a servant cannot be greater than his master. Sproul stood on the shoulders of a giant.
