Let me give you few ideas for features that will 100% work and are super easy :) - we don't want to have to click the note first for resizing handles to appear - we want to move notes left/right with keyboard - we want to hear the notes play, when we move them up/down - we want to make the notes longer/shorter with keyboard - we want to change the grid side with keyboard - we want to mute/solo currently selected track or channel with a keyboard - we want to change vertical zoom for current/all tracks with keyboard How about those, huh? The features are already there, just add keys for them, please :) Also, shame about blue theme - I was using it, because Blocks mode in dark theme is useless, i.e. there's not enough contrast between empty blocks and ones where there's data. And default theme burns my eyes out. Oh, and bring back the inserts macros in the Main Mixer :)
@@maveric_Reason Yes, I was wrong about left/right, but wasn't about up/down. For some reason someone decided moving through pitches makes a sound when using the mouse, but doesn't with the keyboard. I've never seen that in any other DAW. And isn't V13 about workflow? And "getting to my sound, faster"? This is exactly the type of feature that does that. And it's super easy to implement. Actually it's more difficult to have separate scenarios like they are now. Plus, this can be an option in preferences.
As for Matias question of what to put in the space where the browser was, they should put the option for custom Combinators. They can keep the visual representation of the Rack devices and VSTs as they are but now have costom Combinators to the right. To make things easier and simple only selected rack devices, VSTs and Combinators show with an image to be click and draged.
its not about the space where the browser was, its about that freespace in the left down corner, there are now the toolwindow features, and mattias wants to know wich feature from other daws ( sample manipulation wise) would we need inthere
Here is some ideas Reason asked the community; Adding knobs to the editing values instead of sliders. Add one knob to control the input trim of the track Adding a knob to edit the swing assinged to that midi track or audio. Mixer channel fader? :-)
I’m not updating for synths and delays. They still don’t have midi routing or MPE. Plus plenty more quality of life editing tools that we been asking for. Sucks for user who only work in Reason.
Here's a list...How about allowing Rack Extensions to be relocated on an external hard drive so I can use all of my RE's without running out of internal hard drive space. Group SSL channel normalize would be good, 12 send effects slots instead of 8 slots, more channel colors, more intuitive detail editing SSL EQ like fab filter EQ and merge Recycle into the DAW...
@@meinwegalsproducer I disagree we have Native Instruments Konkakt Libraries which are stored on external hard drives. That's like saying Reason can't do VST's then years later we have VST's...

More devices that are really similar and still far behind other days in organisation and simple mixing functions . Just my opinion but I still use reason 5 and still love it
the pop up browser is such a terrible idea....like why change what is not broken....also i can no longer put plugins into different favorite categories
Coding not a easy task! and i understand but i can tell how they answer the questions its either Reason dont have enough Devs or the Devs not that good COMPARED to other daws.
@@maveric_Reason Ich möchte als Anfänger mehr Unterstützung im Produktionsverlauf. Größte Baustelle Musiktheorie, alle DAWs haben im Browser Key und Scalefunktionen das vermisse ich. Ich habe jetzt mix in key gekauft, aber das ist ach nicht der Hammer, hilft aber bei Chords und dem schnellen umstellen der Chords.
Not interested in this maintenance update that's being made to look like a major update and for $200 nonetheless. Apple just gave Logic users a substantial update with AI features for FREE and so did FLStudio.
You seem to forget that at least, even if nothing else might be of interest to you, there's a damn fine synth and a beautiful delay unit coming with this update too. Also I'm pretty sure there will be discounts this year to wait for if this seems expensive to you. Thought about waiting for those myself, but if v13 is somewhat stable I will go for this sequencer update much earlier than xmas for sure.
