i totally relate with kim hana, it's not that she got one question wrong it's the anxiousness she got from studying the wrong material - when you plan everything so well and it goes downhill right before the big exam - it's the uncertainty and this why so many students question their worth even when they do well

I really liked kim hana in this one because this episode showed her having a flaw and not be just a pretty girl who gets good grades and good at everything. Also, the way it was showed of her having a flaw is AMAZING compared to other shows. Other shows usually have the pretty girl with good grades fail a test because of a boy, but this one showed the bittersweet feeling of forgetting to study the last chapter and still good a good grade! I really like this show! It's actually relateable for everyone: those who study really hard and those you are more carefree on studies

I totally get where she is coming from. It's not about getting a question wrong. It's about not doing as well as you expected you would. In all that stress and anxiety, thinking you will do well, expecting great things from yourself anyone can be overwhelmed easily. You become so fragile that even a tiniest of a mistake can devastate you. And on top of all this studying the wrong material can really make things even worse.

So basically he tries out his lines on Kim and the uses them on Do

Omg min is a very skskxiskdkskdjs character. I’m starting to think kim hana likes him, and he acts all flirty with her BUT he says the same thing to do hana which she finds out, literally when she was upset and crying. This guy makes her feel something (if she actually likes him, I could be wrong) but he says the same thing to everyone. Finding that out it the worst feeling in the world. I can relate to kim hana so much, even when she only got one question wrong because she didn’t revise all the material, it’s her jinx, so the fact that she didn’t do it leaves a bitter feeling.

Damn I relate to Kim Hana so much in this episode. I study so hard and care so much for my grades and my friends either don’t care about their grades or don’t have to try bcs they’re geniuses. And I hate it when friends say things like “you only missed one/ a few questions, why are you acting so emotional?” Like it may not be a big deal to you but it is to me because I studied so hard for this. And that anxiety when you realize you studied the wrong material really hurts. And when your friends pick on you for being “emotional” it’s even worse.

It seems like Kim Hana might have an anxiety disorder, she has to do everything right and in the right order otherwise she'll feel unsettled all the time about that one thing that went wrong. Almost like OCD but also different.

i can relate to kim hana so much lol. when you’re like the top of your class, what other people think is “good” is your version of a “bare pass”. it’s not fun always being top, because then you have a sort of reputation you need to uphold, which can get really stressful at times. and since you’re top, you’re basically the person everyone asks questions to when they don’t want to ask the teacher. you also get paired with the “not-so-academically-gifted” people, meaning you have to do basically the whole thing by yourself. it might be different for other people, i’m just talking out of experience

people may not understand the feeling of getting one mistake or some mistakes at exam because for them, grade is meaningless or doesn't define you but for those students who work so hard, study each detail and all, a mistake is a disappointment. you may not disappoint others but the feeling of disappointing yourself is much worser than disappointing others.

There is girl like this in my class. At first I used to be jealous of her since she get A+ like a robot and never, NEVER! gets anything wrong. But one day she got one question wrong and got 18/20 and cried. That's when I realized how hard she must've worked for her to break down over two marks. That's when I started to appreciate her instead of being jealous. We are not friends since we are both introverts and sit on two different parts of the class but she seems like a kind person. I really appreciate her hard work.

I guess I'm completely Do Hana, lol can't relate to those who live in fear of being on top and have to check to make sure you're perfect like Kim Hana.

For those who saw that Ha Min saw that Kim Hana studied the wrong page (4:31) and didn't say anything. Yes, he was a jerk for doing that but it also showcases how competitive Korean society is. Kim Hana is one of the best students, Ha Min is too but schools in Korea have a ranking system of all students. So the better you are than your peers even by a few points the more chance you have to get into a good university. That's why Ha Min didn't say anything because if even Kim Hana got a few less points than him he'd have a better chance to go to university/please his parents too.

I always laughed at the toppers who cried after lossing 1 or 2 mark in exams.. But after seeing it I felt too that it means alot for them.. I'll try not to make this mistake again...

I'm totally related with this. In one of my exams, I put all of my effort, and, the next days, I was dreaming with a perfect score (It could be my first one in that class) in that exam. When I received, it was everything wrong. I see all my effort, doing anything at the time, and it felt worst when one of my best friends gain a perfect score without studying. I felt so stupid, and I still feeling that way, so, I ended in the conclusion, thinking that it really doesn't matter how much effort I put in something, I will never do it perfect, it's my fall being so stupid, and no one can fixed. I know is wrong thinking like that, but it just how I feel, and it feels horrible.

i am exactly the same as kim hana, i honestly thought it was just me woow this is crazy!!! i have a bunch of "jinxes" too during finals its ridiculous, like if i wear this type of sock instead of another it means that i wont do well on my final, and then when i dont do well, i wonder what i've done wrong leading up to the final that doesnt involve actual study material.. just day to day stuff that could've possibly jinxed me

*Hana is literally me before* Back then if I make one or two mistakes I would lock myself in a room and cry over it but I grew up and changed,I learned that mistakes is a part of us/a part of our life. Back then I always study everynight before the quiz/test for my grades(to get A+) and the reason why I get mistakes is because I forgot to answer the question but now I don't even study and I still got good grades (only A- and A though) Now I get a lot of mistakes and still be happy about it but the thing is I got lazier and lazier each day,sometimes I don't even do my homework 😂😂 I miss the old me,I want 50% of her to be back 😄😃😁

I really dig for characters like Hamin (I like mischievous characters, don't blame me) but I'm starting to notice his character's flaws, which is completely fine but there's still something about it that sets me off: 1) He clearly saw Kimha marking the wrong page, but he didn't even said a word. 2) At the scene where Kimha starts crying, am I the only one who noticed that Min didn't even tried to comfort her when all the others did? I mean, they're "best friends" after all, I'm buying it but isn't it a bit suspicious that he didn't even looked at her in concern or comfort? Also, he never really batted an eyelash, he just started moving when they realized Doha's nosebleed (which I admit made me squeal because I am in this probably sinking ship but who knows). I do hope that there's more to Min than that, after all, I am really interested in his character 😅

I relate to KimHa in that situation. Although instead of crying I have this thing where I'd punish myself for each question I get wrong because I'm fixated on the idea that my grades should be perfect and no wrong answers are allowed. I'd practically almost hurt my body physically by not eating and just study to the point my nose would bleed because of the lack of nutrients;I rarely got anything wrong because of this. So when KimHa felt all that anxiousness and her realization of studying the wrong thing it kinda reminded me of how I was in high school. Like KimHa, I was going over the material until I heard a couple of my classmates discussing the pages and realized I studied the wrong thing, I got so anxious that I decided not to take the test. I forced myself to throw up in the classroom as soon as the teacher came in and pretended to be sick so that I'd be allowed to take it another time which allowed me to study it. The point of me writing this is not to share how much I needed to have perfect grades but the idea that It is not right to prioritize grades over mental health. What I mean is, studying or having perfect grades won't do much other than increase the stress of doing better or maintain the straight A record. I did all that studying to get a perfect GPA to realize how dumb that shit was. I almost died because of how much pressure school gave me to get good grades so I can be "successful" .Something I wish I had known back then is that grades aren't actually important but the path you put yourself in is. I didn't need grades for my dream job just connections with the right people and past friends. Lmaooo to whoever decides to read this long essay and still in school --------> Please don't stress yourself out! Take care of yourself and take proper breaks when your stressed and go on adventures while your young bc you'll regret it later.

I really understand Kim Hana's dilemma. It's not about just having high grades, it's the fact that knowing you could have done better if you studied the right material.
