Hi my air conditionier get hot both around 70 degrees and stop working.Do you have any idea thats wrong? Air conditionier is new.I got it from returns

great video and to the point. I replaced my capacitor and still the fan motor continues to overheat so I'm off to go replace it as it looks like it's on it's last legs.

Water may be to blame, too. My furnace started leaking condensation water or Freon, not sure which. A week later my fan quit turning but gets hot. Also the filter was sucked tight to the motor. Maybe the filter got wet. Restricted airflow, which sucked the filter in. IDK. It certainly sucks.

I have checked the specifications sheet and it does not show a fan depth to set the blades to. Where can I find the measurement and where do you measure from?

Look at the location on the old motor. The shaft will have a spot where it was located. If the motor is differently sized, be sure to calculate that in.

The motor was previously replaced by a "handyman" so it is not the original motor.

I changed fan motor on old GE central air unit,it runs about 10 minutes and shuts off, does the fan it self have to be at right height could I have fan blade to low?

Fan height can cause issues. Was the fan capacitor replaced? That can also cause issues.
