Deep down they possess a strong caring for everyone, and want to make people happy. ESFJs may be upset if they feel unappreciated for the work they do for the good of the group. ESFJs could often see ISTJs as emotionless and focused people, which is not the case at all. Sure, they are rather direct and care about getting things done. ISTJs tend to be private and reserved, and they feel uncomfortable when people invade their personal space. Being around people who tend to be too close for comfort, or in situations where they are required to hug strangers, disturbs them.
