I have two small dogs and one cat that’s bigger than the dogs. They come running to me when I come home and let me know how much they’ve missed me. I love being greeted like that

As a training instructor/dog trainer with over 30 years experience, I will tell you that laying down and pretending to cry is one of the first "emergency" methods for getting your dog to come back to you if it should get loose. Especially if they don't do the Recall (aka Come command) very well yet. Other methods include initially running in the opposite direction until they get close, then 'fall' down... Opening a car door and asking if they want to go for a ride (especially good if they LOVE car rides)... Shaking treat bags or squeaking toys, etc... And I don't care if people think it's a "bribe". If it's a matter of safety I will do whatever it takes to keep my fur baby alive.
Lol! I can relate to the Amazon driver. Just today some stranger's dog (a friend or worker at my next door neighbors house's dog) jumped up the stairs to our side door and ran inside. I usually don't keep the door open but I was doing some laundry. Our washer and dryer is hooked up in the carport and when I was bringing in the clothes I guess he saw an open door and an opportunity 😂 he comes running in like, "Hey! What's up ?' Looks and sniffs around and then sniffs me for a second. And I exclaim, "What the??!!! Hey! Where did you come from??!!" He looks at me like, "Ok nothing to see here! Bye!!" And runs out. That was one of the highlights of my day! 😍🥰

I always have to feel thankful that there are people out there who are silly towards their pets........ because it makes me feel less awkward when I am towards mine. I'm just too chicken to put myself out there because I feel like I might me too weird lol

Actually both dogs and cats instinctively guard you as you use the bathroom, isn’t that cool 🤗 that’s why sometimes dogs/puppy glance at you as they use the bathroom hoping you’d help guard them too lol

These are the exact reasons I chose a super doggo (yellow lab) over a 2nd wife. He's unconditional and we are inseparable. Being retired helps our situation also. love my puppy ...my 115# puppy.

Dogs follow you into the bathroom to giard you since you are vulnerable. They watch you while they go because they see you as their protector too. So dont get mad at fido for guarding you. That is their way of saying i love you so i will protect you.
