I really admire Jungkook's loyalty. He may look like an international playboy because he's handsome and hot, and does fan service, but it's so rare to find a man who can stay devoted to you after 4 years or more. Especially since he often encounters a lot of newer, prettier, and sexier celebrities.
It's definitely not just a crush, I've read some description somewhere from psychologists, and if it's longer than some months, you are kind of behind the crush level. I don't remember what was between, I just know that if it goes for years, they claimed you are in love.
I think that's not the main reason... I think it's because he's romantic in general. Just listening to his songs recommendations is enough to get that. When it comes to his crush on IU, he's also romantic. When he says he wants to find love like the characters in Kimi no Nawa, he's also romantic. He's the kind to cry when listening to beautiful piano music and probably dreams about the image of a girl who's perfect for him (which IU represents).

I think one of the main reasons why he loves IU so much is because he made it into BigHit through an audition singing her song, so in a way, he LOVES her because she is the reason why he made it this far and the reason why he's in BTS. ARMY FOREVER! JK believes that he is really lucky in life and so he may feel like he was lucky to have chosen her song, out of a billion other songs, to audition & because his voice complimented her song so well, he wants to pay her back. That's why he celebrates her every success and listens/sings her songs and talks about her in interviews. He wants to get closer to IU and thank you her for being one of the factors to his success with BTS. Ex. That's why he gifted her those flowers. Another reason is because JK openly shows his affection and subtly gets attention from who he likes. Unlike the other members, IU knows JK, met him several times and has acknowledged him . The other BTS members probably haven't gotten closer to their crushes and their crushes don't even know that they like them. JK is lucky because the reason why he likes IU is ambiguous to fans and he can get away with saying that he likes her publicly. People can interpret it as him actually crushing on her, or others may say he is just being thankful and admiring/respecting her since he auditioned with her song. But either way, we may never know, so it's safe for JK to say IU is his ideal type. If the other BTS members said that they liked someone publicly, they would be in big trouble. Moreover, JK is also the main vocalist of BTS so of course, he adores females who have amazing voices as well. I think he and IU's voices compliment one another SO well. I think there are a lot of reasons why he loves IU and why he could be the first to marry. I'm not saying that the other BTS members couldn't marry first (BC they easily could BC they're all so sweet), but JK just has that likeable personality: hardworking, talented, cuteness, and hotness that makes him ideal for a relationship. IU became my favourite since i watched Scarlet Heart. And Kookie became my favourite since i watched Blood Sweat n Tears & the main thing is both at the first sight.
