@@wait4babao984the suspension is stiff for track. This guy is not complaining about the GT he is complaining about things practically every track car has. Low MPG, low clearance etc
@@michaelchapa7060 true. By the way what he didn´t mention is that the c63 coupe is stiff af, too. With the GT at least it´s a harmonic package and you get a true sports car with the looks to match the performance.
It seems like you need to buy a cadillac , everything you saw wrong with this car was done on purpose by one of the best manufacturers on the planet to give you a sports car feel
No matter you say , I love this car and it’s not fir everybody . If you are looking for comfort , don’t buy it . If you are looking for space , don’t buy it . If you are looking for economy and cost savings , don’t buy it ! There are a lot of cheaper , comfortable and spacious car out there if that’s what you are looking for
Got a 2016 one. Place so far 500 miles in one week and it’s pretty good. One biggest flaw is it’s low and gets a lot to get use to the cars dimensions. Also the rear suspension makes a squeak over bumps that can be heard into the cabin. Ride quality is horrible, definitely not made for everyday City roads. Other than that, it’s actually the best sports car I’ve ever owned
Main complaint i see for the gts is transmission issues. They had a recall in them, but people are still having them fall in low mileage. Plus, the ones i keep seeing for sale have like 6-10 owners that throws up some red flags too.
The big one is fuel efficiency. I am getting about 9 mpg total in my 2016 with barely any miles on it. Just picked it up two weeks ago, already have a leak in my driveway. I am anticipating bringing vaseline to the repair shop with me monday morning.
also as for gas yes it goes quick but I usually keep all my settings in Individual mode on race except for traction. In the city I get 15-17mpg on the highway I get 20/21. I have no clue what it would get in comfort tho
The problem with getting a c63 over this is in 5-10 years time c63 value will tank significantly more than the amg. So that money your saving at first isn't really worth it. Or u can just buy the amg gt used for like 80k lol
I'm totally satisfied with my GLC 43 with Red Star 200 cell downpipes, TCU tune, and stage 2 tune. Plenty of storage and power for my needs. The Viper matte green wrap with front splitter and rear spoiler turns heads. But I'd love to have an AMG GTR for a 2nd car some day lol. Can't wait to see you get that Black Series hood!
I want a gts for my next car when I’m done with the cla45 but there’s something about the c63s I love 16-18’ is the raw sound. Imo I think they sound more rawer compared to every other model even comparing catless to catless
Debating trading my weekend car, a 15’ CLS 63 S with 47,000 miles in for 16’ GTS with 50,000 miles. I live in ny & aside from AWD im wondering if ill regret getting a gts in terms of reliability & ride quality. The cls has been very reliable, just needing regular oil changes.
German Engineering myth is a thing of the past. Keep maintaining it the best possible nonetheless and it should last you longer! Economic ruin is coming.
If you have only eaten one cheeseburger….. Nothing about that makes you an expert. I’ve thrashed. I mean thrashed. Thrashed. More porches. Corvettes Audis. Lexus. And Benz than most can list off. Plus 1000 other cars. Bikes and boats. There is No one bike. One bike. One boat for all days of the week and persons. Please show me the goat. lol. They are all purpose built. If your living on a budget and do not have the means or ability to use that AMG. Buy a Camry. Sounds like a better fit for you. When you are able to purchase toys for your lifestyle , the means and ability to use them and realize what they are designed to do a specific thing for a specific person … Then you will appreciate even a simple cigar by yourself on one of your properties that allows solace and realize. One day in your past that 18 minute cigar was a mortgage for you. When people talk too much about things they do not yet understand in public. They are setting themselves up for real embarrassment later in life when they learn. Buy 1000 cars. Use them. I mean use them. Then offer advice. Don’t be the biker guy with all the advice and never in his life found his limits or the motorcycles limits for what it was designed for. Before considering himself a pro. 9 out of 10 times. Man will stop short of machines capabilities. Then there are the nutcases like myself. Broke all bones on bicycles. Then motorcycles. Then Then then. This chapter is the planes. lol. Don’t be that guy. The one with 3 mouths. One ear.
The idea that a kid barely out of his 20's is complaining about his $100K dollar car and one of the greatest examples of automotive engineering in the past 100 years tells you all you need to know about this generation. Zero appreciation for anything.
@@Amgenetics it’s wonderful car. Nobody disputes this. … the point is to lose everything you have. Material possessions, family home and live out of a hooptie for a while. Then and maybe you might understand where others are coming from who have every right to be “judgemental”.
This is my second Mercedes and I haven’t had any real issues! I believe the opposite. With the production of the pure V8 slowly stopping, I think the value will eventually increase for these AMGs. Anyway, only time will tell
If you are a guy in your 20's and 30's not married no kids you would be a fool not to get this car if you can afford it. Panty dropper. Women love it, it screams WINNER! Hordes of teenagers at a buccees surrounded my car before i got out. People approach me constantly and i get tons of compliments. I have owned M cars, a mint 1987 E30, Z4 tricked out, tricked out gladiator, you name it and this car gets more attention than all of them combined. The gas mileage is just freakin ridiculous. Even driving in comfort mode and conservative there is no way this car is 16/22. Absolutely no way. I didn't buy it for "good" gas mileage, but it is indeed annoying to have to go to the gas station 5x a week to fill up.
3:30 I couldn’t agree more. I got a C63s myself and it’s amazing. Great sound, fast, gets looks, etc… I would highly recommend one if you can’t afford a E63s/S63s/GT63s/GT
The MPG you get 12 stick and 8 tuned. Plus the tank is small so you have to fill up all the time. I’ve had a 911 it got 18MPG. This things eats gas like my Lamborghini. You’re going on a date and you have to fill up beforehand. The. Fill up after.
The kids small and shoved right up against the steering wheel. I’m 6”2 and felt fine in it. My seats back so my arms can move and overall have more room than him.
Hey thx for making yourself accessible. I wanted to get your opinion on tuning my 2019 C43. Eurocharge has a great price. If I have issues then I’ll have to get the CPC which is way more expensive. Your thoughts on the Stage 1 or 2 tune?
@@Amgenetics you stated your tune cost you around $1400 (I think). That’s just the ECU tune and the CPC tune is an additional 2K. If that’s the case, the tune is almost 3.5K. Also, can the AMG Performance Exhaust handle a Stage2 tune? Where can I purchase an unlocked My Genius Handheld Tuner?
@@Amgenetics Okay got it tuned today. It’s a rainy day in Virginia but was able to get thrown back in my seat a couple of times. I do miss my factory loud pops. Not too found of the smaller continuous pops. I like that professional factory sound vs tuned sound. More to follow. Should I purchase the My Genius handheld?
From 0-60, yeah the g80 xdrive m3 wins. Roll races? Probably not. GTS wouldn’t need to fight for traction and it’s a few hundred pounds lighter than the M
I’m 6,4 yes it is a mission to get in and out of the car but it has plenty of headroom, the getting in and out situation is going to happen with almost every supercar
Cylinder sleeve scoring is a huge issue with the 4.0 biturbo. Once it starts, the cylinder and pistons destroy each other. You’d never know it by sound or drive ability. You see it in the oil filter, metal particles. Suspension issues are also common, at $6,000 a corner it can get frustrating. Like all MB products, they eat brakes as well. I owned a GT-R for a year on lease. One month in the shop under warranty to replace a fuel related issue, injection lines were developing vapor lock. I’d start and drive and when engine got to temp, if I shut it off it would start in a cripple mode. You’d be lucky to get to 50 mph. I turned it in and instead bought a C8 Z06. $70,000 less and twice the beast.
I’ve never heard of any of these issues you mentioned and I’ve been surrounded by the 4.0 engine for years on end. No suspension, engine, or fuel issues. I’ve had mine for 20,000 miles and don’t have these issues either. As for the brakes (normal steel brakes), I’m about to replace them for the first time, and that’s including heavy track days. They would’ve easily lasted to 30,000 miles without being replaced. Like all brands, some cars will have complications though. I think you just got unlucky with your GTR. C8 is a great car too
