The gmc envoy XL is a great vehicle and is a bargain in the used market world. Check out my channel for more videos. Link to AUXITO: auxito.com/RV4xvR8H Promo code: gmclincoln Music: Night Run Away by An Jone
Don’t buy the 5.3 they have lifter issues. That motor is notorious for lifter problems. Get the in-line 6 4.2. That’s what I have in my envoy. Super reliable engine!
I loved the Envoy! My Mom had a 2005 Envoy XL back in the day. It drove so smooth but made you feel like you were driving a boat at the same time lol. I now drive my Mom's 2018 GMC Terrain Denali she got not long before she passed away. GMC will forever hold a piece of my heart. I also want to say, the V6 2005 Envoy my Dad sold to a family several years ago still drive that Envoy today. Minus newer technology of today's vehicles, the Envoy is still a great buy in today's market. Thanks for the video!
Yup, its a family vehicle icon alright. I'd keep mine just for the sake of memories, too much sentimental value with it. The terrain is not a bad vehicle but I wish GM would do something about their stupid timing chain issues with the 3.6 engines. The late 90's to early 2000's were prime days of GM vehicles, yes they were cheaply built, but the engines were reliable, sadly they introduced DOD in 2005 and that was the end of the road.
I have a GMC Envoy Denali and it's a fun car to drive with plenty of V8 power and handles almost like a sports car. I find the Envoy a bit complicated and maintenance costs can be higher, because my 2001 Suburban is easier to maintain with only 320,000 miles on it. Both trucks only get 16 mpg, so that is the downside. These are great cars!!!
I love mine . But tbh I gotta say I loved my crv . I bought my envoy just to be a little wiled in and get sideways But the gas millage sucks it is what it is tho
Yess, family had an '02 XT with 4WD and the 4.2L 6cyl, and every option under the sun. I hated on the Envoys as a kid, and thought they were hideous compared to the Trailblazer. I came to love the shit out of that vehicle. And got it sideways and much much more beating on it so hard. Probably looked hilarious that barge shaped SUV doing 180 and 360 and drifting around town. The 4.2 was decent. I'd compare to the Dodge 4.7 V8 PowerTech engine, The small displacement Dodge 4.7 engine definitely made a lot more torque and felt much quicker. Still closely on par comparison imo for similar weight and size vehicles. ('02 Dodge Durango SLT 4x4) -that truck could do serious burnouts, wonder how a 5.2 compares and the good ole 360Magnum(5.9) fun factor wise lol
I have a 5.3 V8 GMC Envoy Denali - it's an SUV but drives almost like it is a sports car. I have nearly 200k miles on it and it's fun to drive, but it's drawback is that the mpg is only 16. We have a Chevy suburban '01 with 320k miles on it mostly driven throughout Mexico.
@@321verykind I love the V8 engines, but the Envoy V8 is not as bullet proof as the Chevy 5.3, because they have the aluminum heads and different sized lifters. I had to change my driver's side valve cover with a modified baffle, because there was an oil loss through the PVC system.
