It is pretty wild, especially since most of the stuff that is illegal is less efficient than most legal knives, the lawmakers just think they’re scary. Thanks for watching!

Reate themselves hinted at an April release in the comments of their Instagram post about them. I think they also said that they were looking at trying to get the price to about $60.

That’s really a great looking knife. Unfortunately here in NC, gravity knives are a murky grey area. But I could probably get by with a gravity utility knife. Stupid knife laws here in NC. They really need to update them.

For legality purposes... if an officer finds out youre carrying a gravity knife...youre doing something else worse than carrying it. If you get pulled over they dont care if youve got a pocket knife lmao

I wish they would make lefty models or mods. It’s not that bad as a lefty but no doubt they are made for right handed people.

Agreed, a conversion kit or dedicated lefty model would be nice on models that aren’t truly ambidextrous.

Yeah, it really makes no sense especially when you can most flippers as fast or faster than an OTF or a Gravity knife.

Right now it’s only available via preorder at Crane Cutlery (it was still open a couple days ago when I looked and should be fulfilling soon). After the preorders have been fulfilled, should see them popping up at some of the bigger retailers.

They made a handful to show off at Shot Show and sold those when the show was over at a different show called CCKS but it was just the floor samples that they had available.

Crane Cutlery has it for preorder on their site now for delivery in May-June (just search exo-u). Some of the retailers have listings up but not in stock yet so guessing you’ll be able to buy it elsewhere as well after the preorder gets fulfilled.

Imagine a utility knife where the biggest concern is the razor blade popping out if you use it too hard. It would be so easy to make sure that wasn’t an issue. I love the concept of a premium utility knife, but this is a joke

Haven’t had it happen with light use yet but that is definitely my concern too. especially after a while when that spring starts to wear and bend with age.

The normal version with the CPM 3V steel blade is $272. Hawk Knife Designs has a version of a razor at $485, So for what it is $78 doesn't seem to be too overpriced for a razor gravity knife
