The height on that double front in the first pass was phenomenal! She had a lot of potential but she wasn't very consistent and got injured quite a bit :(
YAY Becca! She's already become so much more graceful and less wooden! I know she's not the model of artistry or anything yet, but it's definitely a step in the right direction.
I saw this routine when they aired this competition, I was impressed! Much less robotic, could use some better choreography but it has all the ingredients and has amazing music!
This routine has improved so much from here, at the American cup to the Pacific Rim. The one problem she has is her choreography, it looks totally planned and quite amature-ish. She might want to take a page out of Nastia's book. However, their body styles are completely different.
Jeffrey Anderson its obvious that she enjoys what shes doing...if she didnt she would not continue plus she has a serious face cuz being on there is rlly serious ... u know right?
maybe its because she was being pushed to her physical limits to the point of a permanent injury in 2011 by her coach valeri liukin, not to mention being sexually abused by the team doctor.
@@Emily-im1hu She never came out and said she was being abused by Nassar....although I agree that she was pushed to the point of injury, both in 2010 and 2011.
@matatyahuyoussef yeah but tons of people have used it...Daniela Silivas, Sasha Cohen (though a skater) but its a different folky kind of arrangement. Who cares if Nastia used it. I think its cute for her. He routine from EF at Pac Rim was AMAZING
@gravyboatK Maybe because gymnasts on the floor exercise are supposed to perform and put some expression into their routine or it just looks well....dull. I like Becca and all, but on floor (especially), it looks like she's just going through the moves and it's another day in practice. I don't believe you have to be the absolute smoothest, most graceful"dancer" to be great on this event, but putting in some personality and passion wouldn't hurt. Nobody likes watching someone look unhappy.
She may not be the best tumbler but nobody ever had the grace, artistry, or ability to interpret music like Bross. This routine is just beautiful with amazing dance, elegance, and great expression of the music.
PDRKorea dude well she has multiples tumbling passes in her routine, including her leap and jump passes and the dance in her routine requires so much energy. so it’s not always gonna be perfect. just keep that in mind
@keego666 well its kinda hard to look happy went u have just stepped out of bounds and like mayaly97 said shes probably visualizing her routine at the beginning
@Bahzinhah are you serious?! thats what we fans want, less tumbling and more dance. she has 3 very hard passes, instead of four easier ones and that allows for more choreo. thats a good thing. study the history of the sport please.
I think the judges have it wrong. The choreo is outdated and exhibitional. It took away from her energy levels in a field that no longer values artistry the same way than it did when the Soviets were dancing like this during floor. It is a disservice to an incredible athlete who could have been an amazing and hugely successful medalist in the worlds and olympics. Rebecca Bross was squandered by a greedy coach whose athletes all wear the same expression of misery on their faces being pushed to do what is unnecessary. E.g. Ohashi and her full twisting layout on beam in combo. Who in the hell needs to do that?
