I don't know if that's her choice. Some actors are told to only speak English. Something similar happened to an interviewer asking Javier Bardem a question in Spanish and he hd to answer in English.
she did that bc she was informed by her crew several times that the interviewer was very rude+snobby, making her attitude during the interview very defensive. She personally contacted the interviewer after the whole incident, saying she was sorry abt misjudging. Also Rebecca mentioned that she was worried/scared speaking Swedish in interviews bc she would be mocked sounding like a comedian? that swedes tease when criticizing one’s accent (she’s been living in the UK for abt 10 yrs, meaning she hadn’t spoken Swedish in a long time)
The fact you wash it down to "she wins because she's beautiful and funny" screams "I have low self esteem". You can be better than that. And yes - being blunt does not equal attention seeking. Attention seekers cause drama all the time. Never heard of Jessica Ferguson drama.
