Severely underrated piece and performance. The song name describes it well: That cold, dead stillness, experienced yet while alive, of the ripping dread of entropy, eating away, slowly decaying-there is still a phantom within that lurks in the mind's shadow, unresting, relentlessly searching for identification, appraisal of ego-here we hide in the dark, fester in defeat, somehow survive, arise, and come out in the blue light of morning, to climb the mountain again.
The cellist is looking really good :-) , but what she is performing definetely is not new: We have been used to this kind of stuff since the early seventies.
