I cannot stop watching this video. Rebecca you make me so proud. May 14th, 2024 is the day you made history as the first female indigenous to win canada's talent. You make your people proud and also Canada
She is very talented. I think as she develops as a singer she is going to be phenomenal. I would like to hear her combine an indigenous sound and pop to give her her own original style. She is amazing. So glad an indigenous singer finally won
I watched all the acts for the finale and the best ones were the three singers! She is the best of the three singers, and so she deserves to win in my opinion!
Some of these judges need to see more of the world to raise their standards. The best moment in this grand finale is when Howie gave real talk to the rollerskating couple, even if it seems like he was even restraining himself. The audience booing and some co-judges putting down his honest comment already gave us a hint of the taste level of the voters.
Rebecca, you ARE my inspiration. I never thought for a second to audition for CGT UNTIL I saw you on here, I am insecure because of where I came/come from, but I am willing to apply now. Congrats to you hon!!! I have seen people (Our indigenous peoples) joke about borrowing money from you ever since your excellent win that you so well deserve and on behalf of them I AM SORRY. I don't expect to go as far as you did, but I hope people see and hear me the same way they've seen and heard you. Congrats again babe YOU DID IT!! I am really happy as an indigenous person myself. Oh you should have seen this performance in person. It was glorious. This recording, especially with the weird clsound glitches, does not do her justice. Literally me and the people sitting next to me were unanimous in how good her performance was, as compared to other acts. Although, i do believe that different types of acts should not be compared or judged next to each other.
Singers shouldn’t attend talent shows…they just sing 3 songs and win 1M CAD. It’s crazy. They can express their talents in all the singing shows. At least they perform many songs and compete against top singers to prove they are the best.
Congrats to her..... But my opinion.....if she was on AGT or BGT, in the auditions, I think Simon Cowell was going to likely be honest and told her to try a different song, or to come back another year. My top 4 ranking of the finalists: 1. Mat & Mym 2. Mark Clearview 3. Funkanometry 4. Natalie Morris
She sang ok at the beginning and then a few times she lost it and was out of tune and not in control of her voice. Not to say she cannot improve with practice and the proper training but I think she got the sympathy fat vote,maybe she was bullied before,or coz she was slightly different but the point of winning is to have the best talent and I think although it is an entertainment show as well sometimes people are just plain deluded. She wasnt the best act.
I was alright with her winning until this performance. I get that Adele songs aren't the easiest to sing, but this really didn't do it for me. Really, the only act that was consistently amazing imo was Funkanometry. I was pretty disappointed in this season overall tbh. There were some fantastic performances early on, but it kinda fell off in the Eliminations.

EXACTLY! Someone like me, who was vocally trained in the best schools, took 8 years of singing lessons, I'm shocked, I just can't believe she won. There is so much better talent vocally in this country, I've seen it!. This was awful. (Edit, I am from canada)
@@MIX3DVI3WS Elvis Presley never took any singing lessons and couldn't read or write music. No doubt the same is true of many star singers. Not saying that she is as good as Elvis Presley or that singing lessons have no value but one can't assume that a person cannot sing because they have never taken singing lessons.. ... or that that they are a great singer because they took singing lessons. Same thing goes for acting.
In this finale, between the three singers, she was top 2. Top 1 was Natalie Morris without a doubt and top 3 Eshan Sobti. She got a powerful voice but she was not on key in some parts, it's a lack of control because she's young as well as Eshan and they are raw diamonds that need to be polish, they need to get experience. The winner this year should be Funkanometry or Mark Clearview or Natalie Morris (for category singers). On a podium, for me, with this performance, Rebecca would be 4 or even 5 after Sterling V. Scott. I'm sorry but I don't think she should have won this year, maybe in a year or two. I'm happy for her but i'm disappointed by this end of the season.
I'm constantly being called "woke" and yes sadly there will always be haters and racist people but commenting that she doesn't have an outstanding or even a great voice doesn't doesn't necessarily mean people are hating
Your trying to tell me shes a bettet singer then an actual professional like Daniel Powter? The first two season winners got out preformed by other acts and still won.
That won? She can sing, but that was almost cringy. Dare I say this show is too woke?. BTW, my wife is Dene and therefore my children. This has nothing to do with race, but rather talent. I cheered for Rebecca, but its painfully obvious this performance was not worthy.
i agree and I am First Nations as well, she's talented and I wish her the best but it has to do with timing and residential school graves, sad but true
This is what won a million bucks? Over them boys dancing even?? Ridiculous!! This is why i stopped watching these talent shows. Get rid of the singers already!! They have enough shows!!
I don't want to sound like a hater but there's much better singers out there. I agree she's the best in this season of the show, but over the years we've seen more powerful singers that haven't even won a Got talent. Some did.
