Mission will always be Mission, but Mission won't be the same now that she's gone. Ilsa was the perfect pairing for Ethan. And although I understand her wanting to do other work (she's big in Dune), gonna really miss her in Mission.

She is so smart and driven, not many people would say no to a Mission Impossible movie. And I think she wants to take advantage of the momentum that's going after the success of Dune and Dune 2, she's probably swamped with scripts and can ( at the moment at least) pick any roll she like.

I'll never forget how sad my sister was when she died. Or how angry most of my audience was about it after the movie ended.

Besides than the action scenes and unbelievable stunts, what makes the Mission Impossible franchise so great is the characters on screen. Ethan, Benjie and Luther have been together for so long now that it’s hard for someone new to jump in and act like they didn’t just arrive. It didn’t work with Paula Patton, Jeremy Renner, Thandie Newton, Maggie Q, Keri Russell, etc. They weren’t bad they just didn’t fit really. But Rebecca Ferguson was able to come in, be that mysterious person you didn’t know you could trust but Ethan did so everyone did. It was a really great dynamic. Sad to see it go…

Rebecca is an actor that is clear on her values and what’s important to her. I was gutted she was killed off but listening to this I fully understand her decision to move on to other things. She’s very versatile and holds your attention in everything she’s been in.

Ilsa Faust is one of the all-time greatest characters in the spy genre, and Rebecca Ferguson played her beautifully. Sad ending for her character but I respect her decision, she is a great actress.

Mega projects like this or something in the Marvel Cinematic Universe definitely need to give actors pause before they commit. She's absolutely right here. How much actual acting work do you want to do per year? For young and upcoming actors - how many acting credits do you want to your name by the time you turn 30? It's definitely food for thought and is an example of something where your name can be on the billboards for THE biggest franchise in movie history and still somehow torpedo your career because you signed on to a multi year contract for something where you might only get a few minutes of screen time per installment.

Loved her character , and felt upset whilst watching that scene on the bridge. She was a strong and fearless character. What I love about MI is that the women in the show are portrayed as strong, and independent characters not just a love interest with little to no lines like other franchises

I didn’t know they didn’t give her much to do but but I definitely felt that she chose other projects over whatever MI offered financially, creatively, or otherwise. Hers was a hard loss. I suspect the franchise is about to end anyway but it won’t end “properly” without Ilsa… not matter how amazing Agent Carter is.

She very openly shows she cares more about her own craft more than the franchises she's in, but she's been doing great work so we're all just kinda fine with it.

Only time will tell of this was a good choice. She needs screentime and important roles, she cant just spend years to be Cruise eye candy. But her and Ilsa was a match made in heaven, MI just lost its best part: as a fan this is well motivated but still feels like a betrayal.
