The saddest part is that she really had every reason and it’s a downright miracle that she didn’t do it centuries ago, even right in this scene where Klaus is looking all heartbroken and shit he was hunting her down to kill her with a White Oak stake and Elijah came in to protect her.
In a lot of scenes, you’d think they were really related.. The LOOK they give.. She mastered how Klaus makes his one eye squint when he’s furious or angry or sad.. well, she did that a couple of times in T.O.
well i dont blame bex for saying those words bc klaus did gave her a miserable life and bex tried to find love but klaus keeps ruining it he made sure of it he even said it in the first or second episode on the originals season one
Rebekah was one of the best characters of the originals. Since tvd she was trying to have a human life and feel how was to be human again. Bit Klaus never allowed her to have what she wanted.

What an incredible scene. What incredible writing here, incredibly delivered by this fine actress. This is an example of how obsession with protecting our loved ones and the fear of being alone can cause them misery and bitterness. Klaus was the brother who got bullied by the father then grew to become a bully to his siblings. Yes, Rebecca's naivety was a flaw. But you gotta let them live and learn. She was an original vampire for heavens sake, she would have been fine living her own life.

Even for Marcel he loved the city more than Rebekah so Klaus wasn't wrong that Rebekah's choise in men was pretty bad and to remind you Klaus did finally agree to their relationship right before Mikael reached new Orleans. The entire original family was toxic at the same time helpful to each other.. None of them were clean and while it's true that klaus was the most cruel and evil among them.. His cruelty was also the reason the original family was able to survive and exist for an entire millennium..

Honestly I understand why Rebekah did it but where I didn’t agree is that she didn’t just want her brother to run she actually wanted him dead. That’s what I can’t forgive, no matter what Klaus has done he has never wanted any of his siblings dead even the ones he didn’t like like Finn.

If Klaus were your own brother and he kept terrorizing and daggering you for decades every single time you loved someone or disagreed with him, wouldn't you hate him to the point of just wanting him to die to be free after some point? I love my family more than anything, but having Klaus as a brother is a curse.
Watching Rebekahs heart break every time Klaus hurt her, was sickening. To watch her lose what she wanted over and over again so she finally made the decision to hurt him back.

Im ngl when u actually feel this sence it hurts. Rebekah only wanted love from marcel and to be with him and to have kids and be happy in life and klaus didnt want that for her. But then if u go back to what happened to klaus when he was younger he was abused and threated horribly by his father and elijah and Rebekah didnt really do anything to stop there father or to protect there brother they just stood on the side when litterally they couldve saved him and just got rid of his father. There for in the end klaus had it worse then Rebekah ever could have and yes i know he killed people she loved but the fact that she had only stood up once for him when she threatened there father and then left klaus there on his own is a reason for him to hate yet love her as much as he did.
They were all afraid of their dad, and yes, it would've been great if they defended him more. But nothing Mikael ever did to Klaus compares to what he did to his siblings, Klaus is a worse monster than his father. You're clearly biased.

I don't know, when someone does something thousands of times, it's hard to not expect it from them. It WAS completely Klaus' fault, she didn't jump to the conclusion that Klaus would dagger her and kill Marcel out of nowhere, he's done it before.

That is why Elijah will always be the better sibling to Niklaus than anybody else. That is why Klaus systematically started killing Elijah’s enemies when he got his memories erased. That is why Klaus and Elijah have a better bond amongst all the Mikaelson siblings. That is why Klaus trusts his life with Elijah’s. Calling your brute of a father who wants to murder your sibling albeit half doesn’t make you a better person.
And killing all your sisters lovers and torturing her for over 1000 years doesn't make him the better person either. Her father treated her better than Klaus treated her. He loved her but it was a twisted selfish cruel love. Why should she have stayed his prisoner. Why do you think his father was worse when Klaus massacred billions and don't say well he was hurt. EVERYONE SEEMS TO FORGET REBEKA literally would’ve had her whole family killed by Alexander if klause wasn’t a hybrid they would’ve all died because of her vulnerable love. I mean this guy daggered his family whenver the mood struck for hundreds of years at times, he forbade them from having any life whatsoever, controlled them in anyway he saw fit. The fact that they all they have killed him sooner speaks volume of their loyalty. Specially Elijah. Sure he redeemed himself in the end but even that was simply due to him having a child. If there was no hope, he would probably never have changed.
Bex had every right to do what she did, she just wanted love and Klaus denied her of that BUT Klaus only did it to protect her. Ok. Am I the ONLY person that caught this… When Klaus is telling Cami the story of how everything happened.. He said (& I kind of quote because I don’t remember WORD4WORD .. but he said) “Michael glamoured the audience to laugh and return home…” yet.. apparently,, no one made it home because he burnt the thing down.. 🤨
Every bit of that was true. Klaus needed to hear that! He loomed over her keeping her daggered for almost a century. And then completely controlled her love life anytime she was alive. It was insane to the point. It was almost like he was obsessed or maybe even in love with her himself in some weird, twisted incestuous way. I’ve never seen a brother so involved in his sister‘s love life like that and controlling it at least not in a western country. It’s a little different in other cultures but they’re supposed to be part of this culture.
Revenge is one thing but the way you go about it is another story or matter or mattering The Rebekah we got from TVD would never want to put Klaus in permanent lethal danger PRIOR TO FINDING OUT HE KILLED THERE MOTHER no matter how pissed off he made her at times now her working with Kol on the golden dagger that would even the playing field because it is not putting Klaus in permanent killing danger just neutralization like he did to her and the others but mostly her is something more fitting of what Beks would do to Niklaus THAT or running away with Marcel but not before leaving a note to Klaus saying she truly has and always will love him and he is her and has always been her favorite sibling after Henrik and still is but she needs a few decades of a break from him And Elijah and the other family members and that she will keep in touch and that him and Elijah together can handle Mikael together IF HE ALTHOUGH VERY UNLIKELY SOMEHOW found them and that she hopes Klaus finds a romantic interest just like she did if not better that she never planned on falling for Marcel it just happened and it was never to steal him away from him or any slight towards him and that she hopes to see him and the rest of the family sometime in like twenty something years or something one of those two things would be more fitting of Rebekahs character particularly towards Klaus PRIOR TO THE KNOWLEDGE, KNOWING, OR KNOW HOW of there Mothers elimination yeah.

Marcel was like a son to Klaus . When everyone would leave him he knew he had someone which was his adopted son and they took that from him and played victim . Rebekah has the right to feel hurt by being denied love but Klaus only stopped her from being with people that would use her , she would be with anyone as long as they wanted her and she could be with anyone but chose the one person who Klaus had brought up as his own . That’s wrong of her and her not trying to understand that that’s basically her nephew and Klaus gave his blessing at the end but it was too late bc she chose to bring mikael . That’s her selfishness . She was wrong to say Klaus was worse than mikael . He tormented Klaus for centuries and u say Klaus is worse because he wanted to spare u the pain and at the same time keep the one person that he was closest too .
Finally someone understood Klaus! Marcel was in true sense Rebekah’s nephew! She saw him grew up! Klaus created him and saw him as his son, his progeny!

The problem is, Klaus was an abuser as well. So Rebekah did what she had to in order to escape her abuser. Klaus's love is the most selfish because he sacrifices other people (even other members of his family) for it in order for him to not be alone.
Even though rebekah had a good reason to do what she did i think she thought that if mikael came he would only make Klaus run and he would let rebekah and elijiah stay and live their lives but when he actually came he chased them all away and destroyed the cuty which they built
he couldn't have what she had, so he sabotaged it. every single time. all under the pretense of 'protecting' her. happy to have seen his character development through the series.
To be fair, Klaus was ruthless, but what he did, he did to protect them. He protected them from the pain. He protected her from men who would only end up wanting to kill her. Because as noble as her wish to live a human life was, she sucked at choosing love interests. He never once want her dead, even when he daggered her to protect her. I understand why she would be pained by his ways... But it was a moment where the phrase "If you only knew" would be appropriate. Because she thought their father was a lesser evil, when in reality his brother is like this because of that man's abuse. The very abuse he took all on his own and protected them all from.
