The colors are ready mixed. I use an odorless paint thinner to make the paint loose and translucent for reborning.

Tinysaurus Rex maybe you could wait till your older? I am a doll artist and it is quite expensive to start out. I imagine it's even more expensive if you collect dolls as each one will cost hundreds. How old are you?

GJ J is right, it is a very expensive hobby. So, convincing your parents to support you in reborning would be like convincing them to support you in horseback riding. Both are very good but costly things to do. But I love this stuff, so here are some ideas: 1. You're interested in custom orders, so you'll be developing core business skills: marketing, sales, customer service, branding, etc... 2. You can invite them to "invest" in your business. In other words, if they pay your start-up costs, you'll pay them "dividends" from your eventual sales. Even if it doesn't pan out that way, I think they'll appreciate the gesture. :) 3. You can pose it as a community service opportunity. Does your school require community service hours? Find out if your time reborning will count toward them. Do some research on "cuddle therapy" and donate some of your dolls to nursing homes, hospitals and grieving parents. www.cuddletherapycare.com/#/cuddle-therapydementia/4561666497 4. Can you make a trade-off? Is there something else you're willing to give up to make room for reborning? If you're already an Equestrian, the money saved from not doing that will help pay for the reborning. Is there something you can take on: yard work, cleaning, dog walking, etc..., that could help "compensate" your parents for the reborning? 5. As you reborn, you'll develop as an artist and as a professional. It's something unique that will help you demonstrate that you're detail-oriented and organized. I think "Owner, Founder of Tinysaurus Rex Reborn Nursery" is really going to stand out on a college application. ;) Honestly, I financed my reborning business out of money I was making from a full-time job in financial services. Many reborn artists have other full-time jobs. So if you're parents still don't bite, don't take it personally.
