I worked with a very experienced auto spark a good few years back. He always advised not soldering wires in cars as it harden the wires and when they vibrated over time they would break. He always did proper crimping and a good connector body. These videos are great thanking you

I thought you were going to put the caliper back on as is. I should know better having enjoyed so many of your videos. You cleaned me up and painted them as well. Thanks for the vids. As an ex pat in the USA for 42 years and having seen some really shoddy repairs and re commissioning over here - this is a real treat.

Blimey Gary you make it look easy ... I know it's not, it's amazing the engineering quality on even the smallest parts that make this car, I exchanged the foot dip switch on mine ....even the screws were machine turned with a machined tip at the end for locating when refitting which not many would appreciate ?

Watching from Manila here. I just couldn't resist watching your videos . Well presented and informative. Although the cars we commonly use here are Japanese and Korean cars that's why I get fascinated watching those high end vehicles like the RR although we do now have a dealership in BGC that caters to rich Filipinos. I drive a 92 190E wc has been w me since the 2000s. More power Gary

@classic.obsession
@classic.obsession Год назад
Hi. No. This will probably happen once or twice during its ownership and you simply have to pull over, switch off engine, put ignition back on until both lights on the dash illuminate again after pumping that pedal, then G Valve will reset Itself and you’re good to go again. If only I knew this when it happened to me!! Regards.

@classic.obsession
@classic.obsession Год назад
Yes. It is a similar set up will spheres (accumulators) and valves underneath them. You just have to switch off and depressurise the system with the ignition on and engine off pumping pedal till both light come on again and it resets. Regards.
@carlgeorgtsigakis498

I have to hand it to you Gary, you really know what you are doing....are you self taught? I could strip it down, difference between me and you....I could never work out where all the bits went for re-assembly 😉 With the amount of work you do at home, I am surprised you haven't installed a vehicle hoist. Even if the garage height wouldn't allow full lift, half way would make a lot of your work easier...
