Hi Matt, I'm an EDS engineer - Harness Engineer- so know exactly your pain when dealing with the wiring! Ps any car with memory seats will have wires in the door panel so if that problem occurs on any other builds you do in the future, its going to be that again. Also I have friends who do the harnesses for Aston. If you get stuck at any point on this car, let me know.

I am totally amazed by your talents. Many years ago we all had BMC minis, standard, Cooper's and Cooper 'S'. In the day we struggled to fix and keep mobile. It's so uplifting to see how genuinely happy you are when things go well.

During the first lockdown I spent 3 weeks on a stoney driveway on little jacks stripping back the body panels of my little z3 and rust proofing/treating it, changing all the front suspension rubbers for poly bushes and odd little jobs. The feeling when it was finished and back together again was the best feeling but also a relief aha the relief you had when that all went back in took me right back. I had all the alloys refurbished after I had finished my jobs on it and it looked mint! Unfortunately two weeks after finishing the project someone hit me head on and it was a write off so all the blood, sweat and tears put in made it an extra difficult pill to swallow. It was such a great car to learn to get stuck in and try things for yourself. Hopefully one day I’ll get another one! Love watching the Aston rebuild- it will all be worth it! I kind of hope it won’t be raffled because the difficulty in fixing that you deserve to enjoy it afterwards!

Nick work matt. Quick and dirty check for the highlights is to project them against the wall and look at the beam pattern. The line across for the beam pattern on RHD cars should 'step up' on the left hand side illuminating more of the road on the LH side. Worth a quick check !

It wouldn’t surprise me if the Vantage has an option in it’s settings to toggle the headlights for driving on either the left or right of the road. My A7 does this and it’s a 2014 so I’d imagine a much newer, more expensive Aston would too! Nice work Mat! 🙌🏼

This is the best rebuild video ever, still amazes me how easy it comes to you to do all this, while in the factory people need weeks of training before they can touch any of the dashboard. I watched the previous videos on a delay, but now I am up to speed. I actually work at Aston, so next time when you need anything I'll try and help.
