@@keatonreinke5830from 2016 to 2019 otto porter was consistently top 5 in 3pt%, so while his career hasn’t been the best it definitely was looking promising his first 4-5 years in the league.
The players “regressed” in their first off season because 2k was comparing their overalls to the ones they have in the current day roster. Booker is a 94 ovr currently, but he started your scenario as an 88. He actually progressed to a 92, but because 2k is comparing him to 2024 Booker it showed red as a “regression”.
You need to do an collab with kot4q do 20 or 15 year rebuild against him in an online league just you and him going against each other to decide who is the best him in 2k on RU-vid and they both start with an expansion team
In hindsight, trading for CP3 was probably too much, too soon for the Suns. They were still mid-rebuild when he arrived there, and they were on the rise. But they shot to the top of the West unexpectedly, things opened up for them in the playoffs, they went to the Finals, and were 2 games away from being champs. The CP3 trade sped things along probably faster than they should have, and now they're in basketball hell.
Would’ve loved to see you get Hali, that summer I was baffled they didn’t draft him. I couldn’t believe he fell to them in the first place, as a DET fan I wanted them to draft him bad. Once he fell past DET, I thought there was a legit 0% chance he went later than 10. I figured NYK or WAS would take him for sure, both needed a PG especially with Wall suffering all those injuries, and this was pre Russ trade IIRC. If somehow he got to PHX, Hali/Book would’ve been awesome regardless of them getting CP or not. If they got CP, he could’ve been their 6th man who could’ve backed up CP3 while also playing some 2. I still think if they drafted Hali they might’ve won a ring. They really lacked a bench guard that could get run the offense, shoot 3s, just be a 6th man who would help with the drop off that happened when one of Book/CP went to the bench. Also he was a sniper in college and they needed more 3P shooting since Booker (then especially when they got CP) loved being in the midrange. Just backing up CP3 would’ve been almost 17min and that’s when he was healthy, then so it would’ve been easy to play 25mpg for him, and more like 30 if one of them were hurt. Would’ve been a huge boost over Cam Payne etc. Still crazy to me he fell to 12. Obviously you never know what would’ve happened, but if DET drafted Haliburton and still got Cade, or even if they fell there were still so many good players that would’ve been great fits. Basically anyone taken in the T5 would’ve been cool, and I assume DET would’ve still been bad enough to get a T5 pick lol. I’m not some draft guy but for some reason I really liked him and thought he had a crazy high floor, but also had an underrated ceiling. Ppl talked about him like he was some finished product. I obv had no clue he’d be this good, and especially not this fast, but I thought he’d at least be a really good 6th man (ppl agreed he had high floor) but I thought he had potential to make a few ASGs in his career if he hit his ceiling, and if he didn’t but he hit like top 70-80% outcome he’d be a really good starter. Love the vids as usual. ✌️
We need Nuggets Melo rebuild whether it hits free agency and going to the Bulls (like what should have happened) or staying with the Nuggets or going to Knicks
next do a video with the Nets in the same season and sim. See if they win and if they don’t, shake things up (keep joe harris though trust) . If they don’t wins chip rebuild till chip. Do it!!
