Im now preparing my cheap 2015 range rover vogue for the road, so i can then drive it to a bodyshop for paint and some other body work. But first it needs to pass an MOT test. But theres plenty of warning lights still on the dashboard preventing the car from passing, including the airbag light. Alongside the repairs ive also thrown in some modifications and upgrades along the way to complete the facelift look from a 2015 range rover to a 2018 SVO range rover.

I used to work at Land Rover and fitted a few of them steps, you fitted them exactly how you was meant to even by cutting the trim 😂 the deployable side steps are cooler but more of a pain to fit. Also yes they are a very popular optional extra

Hi matt the airbag ECU is located under the centre console. There is trim on sides that need to come off and it will reveal the bolts/electrical connections to remove the console itself. The ECU is bolted to the top of the transmission tunnel. 3 nuts hold it in place and it will have two pretty large connections that are easy to remove. I work for Land rover on the line where they were fitted. To my knowledge thats the only one but don't quote me on that 👌

Matt i hope you waited 20 -30 minutes after the new screen was fitted to allow the adhesive to harden, as an ex auto windscreen fitter we used to advise people not to open or close the door because the force of the air movement could lift the new screen slightly and cause a leak further down the road.

Great video. Actually the range rover comes with an option of fitting side steps that are 1st and foremost rigidly more stable than your demonstrated ones, and that are automatically foldable. So when you open the door, they extend from below the car and make it look so cool. Having a 2007/8 sport with factory fitted fixed side steps, i can surely say that they are not supposed to bend, they are structurally strong and look way better than these ones (at least for me)

There was some structural damage next to the washer bottle!? Also worth checking the strut top panel if you’ve had a big whack on that wheel as they are a weak point! I’m a JLR trainee panel beater so happy to answer any body related questions!

Should do transfer case oil as it separates over time and can cause juddering on load. Easy job to do as well.

Also u csn just unplug the turbo drain pipe instead of removing the sump plug. Saves all the mess u had when removed it. Car takes 5.9 litres but we put 6 litres at the dealer ship

You can vacuum extract oil from the engine (either because you overfilled it or are changing the oil). At 17:46 the small vertical pipe with the plastic cap next to the notch that is moulded into the left side of the engine cover (as you look at it) is the extraction pipe.
