Yea, although on Rec Room’s channel Rec Room had released the customise everywhere update and the customise dorm room update and in the comments people are saying that they are taking a "step in the right direction" and saying that they are "finally" listening to the community, but still.
Speaking as a “creator” myself, the games main issue with content that is being promoted through the hot tab and new tab are technically correctly placed, the problem here is that there is such a WIDE variety of the same terrible rooms being made, with slight alterations, that technically RR has no accurate way of creating a rule that will tackle these, they’ve tried many different things but these so called “creators” (emphasis on the quotations) are still making these awful rooms, it demotivates many creators, myself included, and makes them realise there is no reason to make actual content in this game when you can use everyone else’s and make MORE money for it. Now this is only partially rec rooms fault, there is no easy way to tackle these creators but the fact RR often condones and sometimes even promotes these rooms just shows how little they actually care for the content on the game, because these rooms are probably making RR a decent amount of money through people purchasing tokens for these rooms. There’s SO MUCH more to talk about here but I can’t so yeh. Alright bye bye
I ACTUALLY FORGOT TO MENTION, the lag is an issue for a VERY long time now, frame rates have always been bad and here’s apparently why, a while ago one of the devs was talking about this and they stated the reason we have so many frame rate issues is the code this game is built on, it’s so old and fragile that when it was first made, it worked fine, but as the game got updated, they realised each time something was updated, something else would break, because the code isn’t optimised or made in a way that prevents these kinds of issues, it means many issues can arise from just one small update. Hopefully that clears it up for you. (This is just from what I’ve been told, it’s from my memory so could be slightly wrong so yeh)

About the AI Moderation, I agree; It is SO bad! I got banned for a week because I and an entire Rec Royale server (Public server, all of them were my friends) were singing California Girls. I wasn't the one with the soundboard, I was just singing along like everyone else. No one else got banned, just me. I often get voice banned, but I never use my mic in public lobbies. I am always on mute, my Quest mic is muted, yet I still get voice banned. How is this possible? Terrible Moderation, 2/10
I think the reason double shot was removed because it interfered with FBA(full Body Avatars) and diminished the overall functionality of Full body avaters. The removal of weekly rewards was a dumb choice because half the time I didn't know the weekly were out. They give no notifications or anything to notify you of the weekly reward. The removal of the weekly corner made it WORSE because even when i was playing i didn't know there was one Rec Room is completely disregarding the community completely in my opinion. The prices and inflation of prices in Rec Room is inexcusable for the amount Rec Room charges for certain items is absurd who is paying 30 dollars for a pair of SHOES it's crazy I also think that FBAs were not needed in my opinion is that the only created FBAs for more profit. They could use pants and shoes to drastically increase the prices Finally PLEASE introduce Cresendo to quest 3. Now that golden trophy has a no reason of playing in my opinion the only reason i played was because of double shot but now its gone. Isle of the lost skulls is kinda mid tbh. Crescendo would be a fresh new game for quest players and would maybe bring some quest players back. I think the reason that they introduce it to quest is because of optimization issues. They can just lower graphics or decrease the amount of shadows Rec Room has gotten stale. There is not much to do in the game. Golden trophy is mid now(even with the new strat of double shot its still not as good as the original). Most games are low quality cash grabs. To sum this whole thing up is REC ROOM NEEDS TO LISTEN AND OPEN THEIR EARS AND LISTEN TO THE COMMUNITY
In my opinion, the worst thing Rec Room is doing is trying to force creators to move to Rooms V2. When Rec Room adds a new cool Chip that can fix a bunch of problems with old codes, its only accessible for Rooms V2. Rec Room litterly said that if you publish a game using Rooms V2 and it gets a certain amount of visits, we would get a free Outfit Item, which clearly is signaling toward the fact that Rec Room is trying to force us into moving to Rooms V2. Me and a bunch of other creators are so used to the old Rooms Building controls, we know how to use and read Chips in Rooms V1, and will take us some time to figure out what the hell we are supposed to do in Rooms V2. Plus, the main problem with Rooms V2 is its main state right now. I understand its still in BETA but its limitations it has right now is SO UNNECESSARY!!! Cant spawn inventions, cant make inventions, cant do shit. We already have all of this in Rooms V1 without any problems trying to do so. This can possibly ruin the career of a bunch of Room Creators. I dont know if it will actually or not, but how Rec Room is pushing Rooms V2 to us, the chance is not 0.
From the creative side I really miss how open and supportive they were for newer creators with programs such as ink inc featuring inventions and dorms but after Landon and Meagan went on break they have been getting “revised” for years now with no sight in rereleasing them anytime soon. I hope they adress it in the AMA 🤞
It’s definitely a tough time for the community, especially us content creators. I just can’t seem to find any motivation from Rec Room content, the countless hacking and crashing is really off-putting! It’s turning people away from the game which is sadly slowly causing it to fade away
Dude what happened to Rec Room items. I remember when each cool looking item costs a maximum of 3.5k tokens. Why tf are the least drippiest outfit items costing a minimum of 8k tokens 😭😭😭 I get its a collab, but remember the fucking Puma Collab? All they did was take a regular hoodie, then slapped a barley noticeable, small ass Puma logo on it, then sell it for 8k+ tokens for each hoodie. I hope Rec Room starts looking forward to lowering prices to a reasonable amount
I watched the entire vidoe hope rec room do something soon before the game die , I see lots of players stop playing it recently ,if rec room do something especially about the community and the security system players would spend money on the game even if the price high because 1-they feel safe they would not lose their acc and 2-they love the game because the game cares about what they really like ( something that motivates them to play like weekly challenges, contests ,events..etc )
Although I agree with a lot of points in this video, I do have to say this; I think a lot of people exaggerate Rec Room's "Situation". The prices: Yes, they're very high, but Rec Room is also a free game, and the cosmetics provide no in-game advantage, they're optional. Moderation: You may think it is horrid because of the overprojection of bad experiences, I personally have had no bad experiences with the moderation. The removal of double shot and Weekly challanges were more of a bad choice though. We have to understand that Rec Room isnt perfect and it can never be perfect. It is also the only VR game like it. No other games have an easy creation system, or simple customization. I think if we all take a step back and look at recent room as a whole, the good and the bad, we'll see that its not as horrid as we all presume. We all love Rec Room anyways... I agree I used to hate rec room but now I have looked back at it and I'm enjoying it I applied to be a maker pen teacher and am hosting a non official workshop and making maps playing rro's I just got into isle because I got everything in crescendo and I'm socializing more in rec center but still rec room isn't the best but it isn't as bad as people say and you just need to take a step back and find rooms you enjoy and try some new stuff and do thing you enjoy
in the ama, gribbly basically doesnt care about any of these complaints and they will only do things their way until they reach their vision of a vr chat, roblox recroom, which if by then they start listening, we would have moved on.
talking about the first claim, I hit my fps cap constantly (90) in almost any room (rtx 3060 btw) but as soon as a turn the streamer cam on it goes below 60 fps. it sucks man
The performance issue is my biggest problem when playing. I understand my computer is bad, but 50 FPS in rec center to like 15 is just not it. Also account stealing, I don’t have an “OG” account but I have a few items that hackers may want to take my account for.
As a Creator/Teacher of rec room i agree with all of this. specifically VCB people will be spamming the hard R but if play something harmless of my soundboard like calming music i would get VCB. it breaks my heart how the game can be so poorly made yet they expect us to enjoy the game. The overpriced items is wild, Im a Lore Collector as myself and its horrible.. I dont mind spending my tokens but its horrible that i have to spend over 100 on Tokens for 2 items within the lore also why are the limited so long? they last forever at least 3 weeks. i understand if its a collab but wow. they need to listen to the community and improve their game.
Rec Room is trying to slowly become roblox in a way, where they dont respond to their fanbase and do horrible updates. I just hope rec room can fix certain things and i really agree on you with the moderation, ive been voicedbanned randomly many times over the same username, and its upsetting that you cannot appeal voicebans, they just need to fix certain things cause there game is gonna be going downhill if they dont fix it

my thoughts about the points you thought: 1. i agree alot, even on a low end android device i have (Samsung Galaxy A04E) i play rec room on is lagging alot even though i have 4GB of ram. fortunatley there is a splittest going on performance so fingers crossed it goes well and i can play rec room without lagging alot. (i swear i couldnt aim well because of a lag) 2. there are many ways to bypass it. the anti-cheat does work but thanks to the bypasses its basically like impossible to stop the exploiters. i heard one of the solutions was the meta quest launcher that you can get on PC. but im not sure tho. 3. those issues are everywhere imo. but its common on rec room. even though i got falsely banned and mic banned (mainly because rec room thought i was those people) its my fault on that part. and yes i agree they should be strict on people who actually broke the rules. i know one exact person yet they can still play and my first ever ban is because of them. 4. people might have reported that shirt because they thought it was a cash grab. not 100% sure but yeah. i dont really have affection from the AI Moderation and imo its doing well. 5. i 100% agree on this. "just dont buy it" imo is just a lame excuse. what if the outfit requires you to get THAT EXACT ITEM. and every item you tried to go with doesnt work for no reason at all. and it has to be that exact limited time item. that is also expensive. 6. double shot wasnt affected to me (mainly because i am on android and never tried VR) 7. same with the weekly it doesnt affect me alot and i just dislike it in general. because 3 of those are on tasks on the weeklies that i cannot complete even though they are 10 times easier than the stuff i have to do. however i am mad at the last weekly being the boots. a shirt wouldve been better. but its 10 times better than the bucket skin. (ratio if you think bucket skins are good, they are useless and dont have any purpose but just to show off) 8. even though some of the parts dont have communication with the community there are still some parts that you can have some info about whats coming what isnt. Jay with some stuff, max powers and joedanimation with FBA. et cetera just ask them. 9. this part doesnt really affect me alot (mainly because i joined in january 2022 where there are less contests) but it wouldve been nice to have some stuff that makes the game more alive. because i am bored tbh. 10. report. there is a button. report them. literally next to the cheer and favorite buttons. 11. i agree alot. but there is a report button. 12. they are posting featuring inventions and rooms in a second channel they have. and even a room for it. not like invention tower or ink inc but yeah. 13. room rewards doesnt affect to me since i am not a room creator but imo they are doing a good job on this. (without the purchasing part to be exact) 14. i wouldve just removed the level cap. not the max cap you can get but just remove the max being level 50 and let it be infinite. 15. its the same thing for every game. not exclusive to rec room
With the leveling up system I wonder if recro can do something of what overwatch 1 had. When you reach to level 100 you get a star on your badge and you go back to level 1 but your actually level 101
12:12 about this. To change your room thumbnail in Rec Room Studio. You need good wifi. Like really really good wifi. Otherwise it just times out instantly because it thinks it took to long.

I probably agree with hackers because one day my friend got hacked and he had no idea what to do but he was forced to make a new account, man these dumb hackers, they could just go to prison or get banned but BOY REC ROOM DOESN'T CARE, THEY BAN US FOR NO REASON. this is why i quit the game a couple of days ago, too many expensive items, trying to become as similar as roblox, too many account stealing and hackers, and lots of controversy between the creators (i even became friends with one once last year who turned out to be a p**o)

they're losing the balance between fun and money. the high token prices don't really matter as long as they're abiding by basic economic rules. some aren't though, like obviously nobody likes the TMNT cosmetics but they cost a lot for no reason. personally, i want them to start making major updates to pre-existing RROs instead of adding new ones.
Rec Room xannot Copyright some of the clothing items and I know they cannot copyright the monsters from MLM as they are public domain. While Bonky and Make it to Midnight are Rec Room's idea the Circus and Clowns are not oroperty of RR.

Yeah rec room just isn’t that good anymore. A lot of features are super jank and buggy. I used to create little games for events and little fun inventions a year or two ago but they kept breaking and it was very frustrating. They still haven’t fixed all the bugs. I’m just glad I could give other players a fun experience. I thought maybe the new rro and costume update might turn it around but eh. Great vid btw! Rec room isnt good anymore because i think from 2020 to 2022 they got tons of players and didnt know what to do so they started adding tons of ways they can make money and not really listen to the community its like how when most people win the lottery they blow the money after a year thats what rec room is doing with its players losing them personally ik most of my friends js quit

Bro did NOT watch the first part... I literally have mentioned that me and many others in this video still love Rec Room a lot, that those things mentioned are concerns and issues we have with the game currently. You'll always have problems in your life with specific things, doesn't mean you have to hate everything and quit.
That's exactly what I and many others mentioned. I LOVED to spend money on this game in the past, but now prices have been sky high that you could only purchase around 2 cosmetic items with like $50. I'm sorry, but this is way too expensive for not even a complete set. Everyone would love to buy items and support the game, but not if you have to hand out your whole income to get a few cosmetic items, just so they can release new items that are also expensive in the next week.
