Recapping AHS: aFLOPalypse for the convoluted plot 

This was the season I think most people started to snap out of the delusion that Ryan Murphy knows what he's doing.

I remember really liking this season initially, but looking back on it...I was just enraptured by how pretty Michael is. The long hair really did it for me lmao-

I love that Sarah Paulson directed 'Return to Murder House' and pretty much admitted she had no idea what she was doing and yet it still turned out amazing and is definitely my favorite episode of the season.

Constance’s daughter doesn’t have black eyes, she has no eyes at all. She was born with no eyes. In season 1 Constance says Tate was her only beautiful child. All her other children were born with some kind of condition.

Mallory pulled a hit and run and then just lived on like.. “✨I think I like this little life ✨ “

the first 10 minutes of ep 1 is so good like the fear and anxiety and then goes downhill after that

cody fern carried the season on his back ngl. michael langdon was one of the most interesting characters in AHS, and it was really frustrating to me that it seemed like we were leading up to a grand fight between mallory and him, only for her to run over the child version of him? i get that he was powerful, but she was too. i think it was a major cop out and its arguably the biggest flaw of the whole season to me.

the crossover was ambitious and could have been good but let’s be honest they tried to do too much and go too crazy with the nuclear winter

ok so im pretty sure that Anastasia was a witch during the flashbacks because in the real world as her family was being killed, her and her sisters appeared to be immune to the bullets due to the jewels they sewed into their clothes, and their killers thought it was witchcraft

apocalypse is one of those seasons that i like but it is crystal clear why most everybody else doesnt sometimes objectively bad tv just hits right 🤷‍♀

I love how they used snake venom to poison the apples, even though venom has to be injected for it to work. Literally nobody should have died after eating those apples.

For as much as people rag on it, I’ll be honest, Apocalypse was the only season to actually scare me. The first two episodes especially after the bombs where we see the the earth devastated and it’s just barren and the only people left are dying husks terrified me. I legitimately had nightmares about it. I think it does the horror of total extinction and isolation really well.

Unpopular opinion: Apocalypse was actually not that bad 🤷‍♂️

it’s good in like the way witnessing a car accident is good. like god awful in practice and you’re so worried the whole time, but you’re so enthralled and interested that you have to sit there and watch.

This season was so bad it flopped at doing the one thing it was supposed to do: be the ultimate cross-over fantasy of every AHS fan. You're telling me you have two people, a white man and a black woman, who for some reason have superior genes than the rest of the world, and they're not the children of Kit Walker? You had the Asylum crossover right there.

Hot take; I lowkey liked apocalypse - it’s a huge mess but I enjoyed the throwbacks to all the other seasons. But I’m also too into the lore that I ignore the script and chaos of the season itself so

I personally enjoyed the second half of this season more but I think that’s mostly down to Jessica Lange’s performance. The episode where she’s retelling the story of her experiences with motherhood to Behold and Maddison is just heartbreaking.

Love the return of the coven, confused on why Cordelia got replaced like seven years after becoming Supreme. Like Fiona had least forty of being supreme. It doesn't makes sense to me.

The season had SO much potential. The big issue is that it was supposed to be MHxCoven and it ended up being coven 2.0 I think a major problem was that they had NO clue what to do. It feels like they wrote the episodes as they filmed. I think a better solution would've been having half of the season being told from murder house/coven, maybe Michael is causing chaos because he can free souls, including MH/Hotel, which prompts the witches to do an investigation. Instead of fighting, the warlocks work with the witches to hunt Michael until he causes the apocalypse. Then the rest of the season is dealing with that and how the warlocks and witches are finally working together with the voodoo clan. Most of archs can remain the same, even Mallory's time travel power can remain but she cannot interfere. She can talk and interact with people but not interfere or change things, so they can use this to garner info about Michael. Hell, Mallory could've lost power and accidentally time travel back to the 1st supreme and they could've done SO much. Imagine that the 1st supreme is so powerful that she forces Mallory to go back with her. They could've done something crazy like that and, instead of reversing time, all of them work together to take down Michael and restore the world to certain normalcy and then the plot twist of these 2 chars making the new Satan is revealed. Again, there's a lot of potential but I personally believe that the biggest reason why this season flopped was because Ryan didn't wanted to do it. In fact i think the huge decline since Hotel has to do because of him. It's clear that he doesn't gives shit about it but he doesn't allow anyone else to touch it or just to let it go.

the thing abt apocalypse is that i LOVED seeing the witches and the characters from murder house again but they executed it SOOOOO poorly it hurts. loved seeing stevie nicks again tbh she always is a queen

Misty getting out of hell was one of the only redeeming qualities of the season. It’s bad, way too busy, so many unnecessary characters. And I love the fact that Misty wanted nothing to do with this drama and rode into the sunset to do witchy things with Stevie. ❤❤

One thing that bothers me in AHS was that the revelation of witches existence didn’t seem to make people faze or shook the world. I mean these are a bunch of people with magical abilities to set people on fire, move things with their mind or even resurrect the dead (which defy scientific law). I was expecting the government to hunt these people and keep them locked for experiments

All things considered, I’d go to say Cody was the best new addition to the cast of anyone post season 3 even. His acting was phenomenal in this season and had the most interesting character in my opinion. I’m not even a massive Sarah fan- at this point I’d love to see Jessica Lange, Evan Peters and Cody Fern the most. Minus her role in season 3 (which I feel she did great in), the fame of Emma Roberts feel like it relies heavy on the nepotism

American Horror Story: Apocalypse was good at first, but when they deleted Mr.Gallant and turned it into some dumb, good vs evil witch plot, it devolved into hot trash. Like the bad guys should have won, Satan and Tates love child should have took over, have an army of Evan Peters clones at his disposal. Favorite parts: forced decontamination leading to dinner and "for every crack of the whip..."

It’s hard to pick a favorite season because they all have a different vibe they’re specifically based on. Season 1 was good, a little problematic but what can you expect from Ryan Murphy. Character driven and honestly really impressive he built a compelling cast of characters in one house and sold it so well. Season 2 is controversial but by far the most disturbing, horrific, scary, kept me up all night and was claustrophobic and good in a “horror” way Season 3 was unique, feminine, explored power dynamics and horror tropes not commonly explored in western horror like pregnancy etc. and feminine-centered negative misconceptions like witchcraft and voodoo, miscarriage, etc. it was by far the best season because it also stayed scary and powerful. It was plot and character driven. Just amazing Season 4 less popular and I wonder if it’s because of the freaks themselves because the moral of the story and the freaks bond with each other was so unique and beautiful and I fell like I related to every story. It was awesome but still kept that AHS vibe Season 5 was beautiful and haunting but didn’t pull me in. I don’t care about the main characters story. I only cared about the “side” characters. I’m not sure if this is intentional 6 Roanoke was only “good” in my mind bc of the acting diversity and the twist. It was a fun watch to get my brain twisted by “meta” ideas 7 like it overall but not passionate about it. All I’ll say is you were right, Ryan Murphy didn’t wait. Maybe that’s why I didn’t watch, lol, I wasn’t ready. 8 we’re here 9 I got lost here bc the serial killers they bring up still have victims and victim’s family members who are still alive. I could be ok with that but I seemed like the show started to sexualize the serial killers and that was too much for me. I dropped out here.

I will always defend Apocalypse (mostly just the Witches and callbacks to MH and Hotel) 😭 seeing Misty Day alive and well at the end was all my heart needed for years after Coven.

I really liked Murder House and Coven. So when they made a season that called back to both, I was sold. But yeah, it was a mess. The thing that saved it for me was Cody Fern. He was fabulous 🎉

This season is one fan service scene after another I don’t get how someone who likes the show couldn’t love this season.

It definitely could've been better but some of my favorite moments are in this season. Murder house episode is great THE STEW IS STU!! Moira being reunited with her mom never fails to make me bawl. Mallory just mauling Michael over with a range rover or whatever is so terrible its funny. Madison and Billy Porters character trying to pass off as a straight couple will never not be funny to me. This is also the first season I jumped on as it was airing (had never watched it before) and it was the first show I started watching with my now fiance. Once the coven witches came back he was like WAIT WE GOTTA BACK UP. That brought about my love for this series as we then went and binged murder house and coven

Absolutely love these AHS breakdowns. Even when I disagree, I am completely entertained.

Apocalypse wasn’t the worst season but should’ve been executed better, the storylines are messy and some of the timelines contradict other timelines; the only things that kept this season afloat were the acting, the call back references to other seasons, Sarah Paulson directing Jessica Lange’s comeback, and the crossover

It bothers me that the act of removing Moyra's body from the property released her spirit. What about the other ghosts stuck there who's bodies were never left on the property at all? Tate's body wasn't left there. Vivian and Ben weren't left there. Elizabeth Short was ABSOLUTELY not left there! I would be willing to bet that the VAST majority of the spirits didn't have their bodies left on the property. I'm glad Moyra is free...but, the reason for her release does not hold water canonically.

This entire season feels like someone from Coven got trapped in their “hell” doing the seven wonders. Like that would have been a better plot line than whatever Ryan Murphy was writing.

I never watched this season, so I love that this is the only exposure I’ve had to this mess.

Oof this season was a challenge, but we made it through. Cant wait for the next video!

I just have to say this. Of course I love the Coven-Crew...but something bothers me: When the witches show up, NOBODY stays dead. "Resurrection" is a plot-device that I absolutely loathe. It makes me feel like a fool for wasting my feelings on the death-scene of a character who comes back in the next episode (or within the next few minutes, sometimes). ...just had to get that off of my chest.

First: I love your timeline breakdowns lol I always say “I want to go back and rewatch them” but I never have time. You condense it so well and I love it 😂 Second: CAN WE TALK ABOUT TATE FOR A SECOND. Wtf was up with them trying to make him worthy of a happy ending? He shoots up a school, he r*pes Vivian, he gaslights Violet, he also manipulated everyone in that house. Yeah he did SOME good things but that doesn’t out weigh the AWFUL SHIT HE DID. I don’t understand how Ryan Murphy thought “yeah that makes sense” lol my favourite thing is that Tate’s fan base is so toxic and genuinely think he’s an innocent baby that deserves all the good things. NO NO NO 😂

oh boy ive been waiting for this one! considering that the only seasons that watched from beginning to end were murder house, coven and apocalypse i'd say this one was enjoyable for me, but only because it brought back characters from murder house and coven

i also really enjoyed apocalypse on the first initial watch and then upon rewatch realized the horror and not the kind they were going for. 😬 another entertaining recap. banger after banger. not looking forward to 1984 though. it has to be my least favorite season but i know you’re gonna make it worth the watch. ;)

The crossover bits are fun but make it a really hard season to jump into the series with, something most of the other seasons are pretty good about. Thank you so much. I had to retart your video multiple times because I kept falling asleep to it. I hated this season and needed your take to make more sense of it. The characters were soo unlikeable and the plot never let anything develop.

This season has some of the worst plot points, but yet I still love it. The dialogue for the characters were so cvnty! Joan Collins, Emma Roberts, Jessica Lange and Sarah Paulson were so amazing.

I absolutely loathe this season. Spending three episodes with new characters that don't matter, the constsnr flashbacks, bringing in previous characters just for them to do nothing and die. I wasnt a huge fan of season of 5 and on but i still watched it. Then I hit this season... I think this is the one that killed off a lot of interest for people.
