Have I spent the past few days in a fugue state where I binged this whole channel? Yes! Will I be celebrating that with chocolate? Also yes! 🎉

Oh my God, I read soooo slow... When you say you read it in a day, it blows my mind.

Riley Sanger is hit or miss for me too but when the book is good, it's so good!

Hi Jessica & James. What if someone who lives about 22 hours of connecting flight away from you, and not a native english speaker, decided to write a book with a translator. How will their relationship in professional terms would be? (Assuming that an agent and a publisher are interested) I'm asking for a friend. Or am I? 😏 Thank youuuuu.

I highly recommend Julia Alvarez new book, The Cemetery of Untold stories. It’s not long but exquisitely told.

I recently read All My Rage and felt like the author threw every adversity known to humans into the mix, and that extremism diluted the story.

If you liked the Daevabad series you HAVE to read Amina Al-Sirafi! Different style but tighter writing (imo) than her first series!

What should a writer know before using AI to assist in development of a Novel? I am being told to use AI to assist but I am feeling conflicted.

Hi! If you don't feel the need to integrate AI into your process, or if it makes you uncomfortable or uncertain, we would encourage you to make the decision that is most comfortable for you. Using AI is certainly not a necessary part of the process, and given that the conversation surrounding generative AI and potential copyright conflicts is ever-changing, it's okay to be cautious! If you would still like to try it, it's worth noting that a lot of generative AI tools pull from copyrighted materials that were scraped from unaware sources, so you have to be careful with what you use from AI. We wouldn't recommend using direct quotes that you don't come up with yourself, and it would be good to be careful when developing your plot using AI.
