I'm glad he's not the father because that means that baby still has the chance to have a father. Them having a piece of him is not more important than the child actually having a father that's alive

I can agree somewhat. We went through this with my brother. 6 years his girl lied to him, me and my parents that her son was his. One day she got mad because HR told her get the baby dressed because me and my parents were taking him out for the day like we always did. She got mad got high and let it spill the baby was my uncle baby. Not gonna lie we dogged her out. The baby wanted for nothing. Now years later he is behind bars for life at16

I get what she's saying tho, because they could fall in love with a baby and then be broken hearted when the mother moves on and the child is taken from their live

@@Donnaleslie yes, thats true but I got the feeling that she would not be the kind of mother to deprive her child from all the love he can possibly get. The phrase "It takes a village" is more true now than ever. However I also know that there are a lot a lot of females out here who would deprive their child of that love if it were between that and something for themselves. But for some reason this young lady did not come across like that to me. My best wishes to all of them. I hope they all stay in touch and allow as much love to be passed to him as possible.

Yes, and what's even more bizarre, in my opinion, is they are many times being killed by each other or by the police. It's actually ironic. Those that recognize each other as brothers should have each others backs instead if taking each other out. And those trigger finger cops who are all to happy and in a hurry to take these young men's lives. They are suppose to be the ones that we are ALL suppose to rely on to protect us. It's very sad. But, I believe if they concentrated on themselves (the brothers). If they could put their differences aside and focussed on their similarities. Think how many young black men could still be here with us. Strength in numbers. Come together first, then you'll have the strength and numbers to start prosecuting these BAD COPS. There are good cops too and they need to help also. Get these bad ones off the force or in prison. We need to once again be able to trust our police officers. When I was in school, almost 1/2 the boys wanted to be police officers when they grew up. Now kids are scared of the police. I think that says it all.

That was disgusting to me. The way they said that was like they were excited to shout it from the rooftops. It showed me their true colors. Young people make mistakes and the young woman never said he was the only possibility. Im still very sorry for the family’s loss.

@@1lynard She knows who the father is. She's basically letting him off the hook for now. But he's a fool. When she goes to get welfare (because she will) he will have to pay child support and BACK PAY.

And the sad part is if he signed the birth certificate. SSI will still pay her benefits, even if biological he isn't the father.

Because when you apply for welfare benefits, it's mandatory that all other financial resources be tapped. That means SS for a child whose father is deceased. She will now have to go after the other man/men.

@@janises.160 that was because they both had accepted that the child was his, the family’s feelings went out the door the moment he made that decision. The scenario would be different if he didn’t or didn’t know about the child and she was just trying to pin the baby on him.

She had already said that she didn't. She basically had the test done to appease his family so they would know for sure.

This is easy to say, when you haven't been through a situation like this. They've already experienced a situation where they treated a baby like their blood only to have it ripped away when the DNA test came back. I would imagine that they grieved the loss and wouldn't readily sign up for it again. Certainly not with a woman who admits to being promiscuous.

@@ChrystinShorty I have been in the situation. And I'm a grown woman. The children are innocent. Those people are only worried about their feelings. What if they missed all this time and child was their relation? So what the child just got a little extra love.

It sounded harsh and cold, but now you can clearly see why she felt that way. Babies are innocent when they are born. He is a handsome little fellow and it's unfortunate that her son isn't the father cause William would have had love from both families now unless the other guy steps up he won't. Just sad. But I understood what she meant. It was no shade to the baby.

Cause you got to be certain before loving a kid that might not be your grandchild or auntie I would do the same thing
