This is better than the other pretzel dog recipes in that you don't need to make dough--he's using a can of premade dinner rolls. I did with crescent rolls and they worked as well. I mean if its hot dogs--you want something quick time wise--not worth making dough IMO--defeats the purpose. Pretty much used 1/4 cup of baking soda in a pot and wait until they float then you can pull them out--might not even need 30 seconds. Made these last night and they worked well--I went lower on temp because of the crescent rolls temp was listed lower on can--but then did broiler for a minute to brown a little more.
