he got away because the police and helicopter pilot are stupid. they dont pursue on the ground for safety and the helicopter only circles. the guy easily slipped out of sight. even the news copter lost him.

Law enforcment is not letting them do what they want, that is why they are chasing them. If you are advocating that they DON'T chase them then yes, they are doing what they want.
