Wow, that is an amazing testimony. While I have never been in a sorority or have any ties to one, my grandfather was a member of a free masonry organization, and so was his father. Before I knew this information, the Lord had already begun to speak to me about redeeming my bloodline and super naturally the Lord has led me to consecrated fasts, and he literally gave me all of the spirits to renounce off of my bloodline and off of my children’s bloodlines, the Lord lead me to ask one of my aunts about our family history and she told me that my grandfather was a Freemason and so was my great grandfather and that’s dating all the way back to the mid-1800s. So I thank God for giving me instructions on redeeming my bloodline, breaking off generational curses, and getting back into right covenant it with HIM.

Just a comment on being "paper". The notion that nobody will like you if you refuse to be hazed is also a deception from the enemy, who wants everybody to think that unless they participate in that abuse, they won't be welcomed in. When I was in college, the dean's office of student affairs held a mandatory session for all persons who were considering Greek life. I took very careful notes about what was and was not allowed to happen. I declined to participate in things that violated the college's regulations. And I crossed over, just like everybody else. Without a doubt, there was some resentment from a small segment of people who had themselves been beaten up, had their money taken from them in the name of "favors", etc, because they were looking to do unto me what had been done unto them. However, there were others who later told me they wished they'd had the backbone to say no to nonsense. I made enough friendships with people who were willing to accept the version of me that came with a backbone that I was content. I never expected to have each and every person in that group decide that they liked me, and vice versa; I saw that as unrealistic. I believed that the group had enough members that I could find my niche and would make friends with people who were reasonably nice people. This happened for me. And I knew I would never be friends with a person who thought their role in life was to degrade, humiliate, laugh at, and mistreat a person who was seeking to be in their group. Call me Ice Princess if you need to, but I could not have possibly cared less that people who were bullies didn't want to offer me "sisterhood" because I didn't let them bully me. So if anyone reading this is considering joining a group, please say no to underground hazing. You have the right to do that. You don't need as a friend anyone who won't be your friend unless you let them abuse you. There are plenty of others who will welcome you in and who will be glad that you aren't trying to continue the mentality of abusing others who want to be associated with you. Don't let a desire to join a group mess up your future. If your grades drop and you can't get in to grad school, or you get hurt in a car accident from sleep deprivation, or you can't get a letter of recommendation for a job from a professor because you missed too much class or fell asleep in class too much due to "set", remember that the bullies' lives don't get harmed by this. It's YOU who will get harmed by this. Do not participate in ANY off campus activities while you are in the joining process, and if the chapter advisor is not at a meeting, turn around and leave because the "meeting" is probably nothing more than a hazing session. Having said that, like many others who are watching this video, once I learned about idolatry in the rituals, I knew I needed to leave the group. Also, kids will do what they see you do more than what you tell them they should do. I asked myself how much I'd want a child of mine to be around people who were afraid to show a backbone and assert themselves. I sent in a letter instructing them to remove my name off the membership. No regrets about it.

This testimony was so, so, so good. She took us on the journey from beginning to end, sharing her thought process at different stages in her life (before, during, and after membership). She described her feelings and specific scenarios so well like a gifted storyteller. When she said she writes in a journal, I was like, "Yes! That's it!" I can tell that she writes because she was so descriptive. And LaLa, you are skilled with interviewing, too so it was just a perfect ebb and flow.😊 I love the fact that she was a national leader in the org and was even instrumental in promoting Greek life on campus as faculty, bc it adds more "texture" to the body of testimonies. We were able to hear from someone who was held in high esteem in the org and I believe that God will use her to draw other leaders out. Wow, LaLa!!! Do you know how incredibly impactful this series is? Well, of course you do.🤭 The Lord has toldeth you.😂Thank you so much for being obedient to God. During a time when these orgs are being glorified more and more each day (especially by celebrities and leaders), God has chosen you to put a spotlight on them for HIS glory.🙌🏽

I've never pledged but I enjoy these testimonies and denouncing videos *sidenote: the church I attended as a young girl was started a step team, and we did the Delta step.🙄😔

Wow. I remember struggling with balancing work and pledging. My boss at the time was a Greek (mainstream/Panhellenic) and thankfully she was flexible with me and understood what was going on. I can definitely relate to her when it comes to spending so much time as an undergrad focused on the sorority. I was the only one left on campus because most of my chapter founders graduated. I served on the Greek Council, was president and had to go to district meetings out of town monthly. I had to repent for the idolatry. Now I'm in engineering school and working FT and in trying so hard to not let school take up so much time in my life & make school a good. The lack of sleep is bringing up triggers from my process.

I often wonder why Altas was on the shield because my first assumption was scholarships. However, when the Bible talks about false gods, I often think of ancient Rome, Greece, and Egypt versus idol worship in modern-day celebrities, relationships/companionship, sports times, movie stars, and more. I don't realize that Greek goddess and gods might have been snuck into our culture 🤯

Many individuals "ignore" the consequences of opportunities to gain unfair advantages at the expense of others. And low vibrational senior citizen sorority mean girls are in a league of their own. I'm so glad that young men/women who are denouncing have wisdom, strength, courage and know their value. I have never belonged to a sorority, but myself and many others have been on the receiving end of the cosplay.

In college I used to look at them and feel pity.. it felt like their entire identity was their sorority....i dated a Q and he was the same way. .I have friends and family that pledged but I would've gotten tired of all of those girls around me .👀😭 Great commentary

There is so much that I wanted to say. 1. I am not affiliated with any of the four organizations. 2. I live in two different cities growing up, one where I see people working as part of the organization and one or non-existent. 3. Once I was reintroduced to it towards the end of my college career, they were only two of all three of these organizations that were part of the divine nine. 4. There was a firm that was posted by the I'm Over Greek membership organization, and let's say that the meeting did not go very well. 5. Fast forward a decade plus, and we have a presidential candidate who becomes vice president and talks about HBCUs and the divine nine, and every other female is trying to see how they can get their foot in the door. 5. I'm not going to lie; I got caught up too. 6. Plus, we have a Supreme Court Justice as part of an organization, a potential Speaker of the House who is part of it, and an elected official who is a member of the Senate. 7. So, I was confused about why there were so many denouncement videos on RU-vid. 8. A few months back, hosted by the divine nine and I can say that only two other women who were not part of the organization were shown. All you saw was the back of my hair, and my face was eliminated. It was as if I didn't exist the other ladies who were not part of the organization could at least make out the top of their faces. 9. I Chad individuals accused me of potential hazing. I had a lady who I worked for hire me over a young woman who was part of her organization, and yet the young woman does today. And when I decided to further my education, I had a lady passive-aggressively put me down for my Pursuit of program education. Although I have a dear loved one in these organizations, I've had someone in my family, suppose the fact that I've looked denounced myedmy videos. And that precious love won't tell me if I ever join not to say to the rest of the group. I have heard a man mock black students who have made C's in PWI, blaming them for being "lazy" despite racism. I pray that God takes me further without joining, especially if it's not spiritually healthy.

I love to see people coming out of the darkness and walking in obedience. I just wish people would stop using the Lords name in vain. All of the "omg" and "omL" is not ok. The people who mistreated pledgies were just mean, nothing to do with what the purpose of the organization. Many women who are going through the intake in many chapters are not experiencing such meanness. Things are changing for the better. I do believe becoming a member will eventually get back to the fun of it. As a Catholic, I have heard many times that we pray to statues and such which is not true. And I will just leave it at that as far as the religion aspect of it. I am a good person and God continues to bless me. But I am sorry that you and others allowed inmature and jealous women to treat you the way they did. I do believe the culture will change, because the Divine Nine leaders are watching and paying attention. It will stop. Happy New Year!

Jesus is Lord!!!!…as I’m listen to this testimony….when she spoke about how she got into an accident and Lala said that the accidents are deemed as normal and in every line something dramatic always happens I felt that Holy Spirit say yes It’s a Sacrifice meaning that in every line there has to be someone that dies because that’s their sacrifice to their “god”
