As an athiest who was once lost this song speaks volumes. I was in tears when I heard this song in church. I went to church on a whim and this was one of the songs they played and it had me in tears as a non believer. Now as a believer I am so thankful that God has a reckless love for me.

I used to be a occultist, I did bad things not only upon my self but others.. then one day in a way I can’t even explain with words Jesus dove in and pulled me out of darkness the next day after I professed him as my lord and savior it was like hundreds of pounds were taking from my shoulders its amazing. Im getting baptized next sunday im going all in for my faith I chose God and Jesus because when I was dealing with all this depression and anxiety and bullying in school and my grandma got cancer and she passed away in the year later my aunt got cancer and she passed away in it just felt like the world was ending and I didn't want to be here and I didn't and I tried to commit suicide and every time I failed and had tried eight more times but one time I tried the very last time and it was like this message came from heaven and God himself told me that this wasn't how life was supposed to be that everything was going to be okay then I felt this presence of God himself right there beside me holding my hand and giving me strength to fight depression and a self harm addiction and suicidal thoughts and all the stuff that was bound to come but it's okay now because I believe in God I believe in Jesus and that they give me the strength to get up when I have no fight in me when I have nothing left to give I still get up and I do what I'm supposed to do and be a good person and live this life as I was meant to be. So I'm going on with my faith to show god that I am here with him just as he is here with me hr always has even if i didnt know it and he always will be

I am 13 and I am a Christian and I watched this video and it had me in tears with my hands in the air just praising God,and knowing he shouldn’t love me,but he does and I just broke down crying.
I had one of the most surreal God moments to this song! I'll share it: I went hiking, initially the trail was closed so I got back in my car and drove until I saw a white sign w/ an arrow pointing to another trail. I parked and hiked the new found trail. The entire time I'm listening to Christian songs and praying. I get to the top & start singing to God. Continuously telling God to open my eyes to see & open my ears to hear! I hike back down to where the trail & everyone else was and a lady stops me. She suggested, I go where they came but I told her no, I'm ok I was up there (as I pointed to the top). She was like, we're you the one singing? A bit shocked/embarassed, I said yes. She was like, I was cheering you on. She asked what I was listening to and I told her. She asked if I knew of a certain song & I couldn't put my finger on it. She starts singing it and as I tune in, I notice it's playing in my earbud (in the other ear). I unplug my headphones and let her listen. We stood there overlooking Phoenix AZ as the song played, until it ended. It happen to be this very song! The two of us acknowledged how precious that moment was that we shared and gave all the glory to God. It was BEAUTIFUL! I still didn't know the title, I kept trying to find it but couldnt. A day or two later this very video is suggested & pops across my RU-vid homepage. My faith is very strong but I was and still am in awe & still can't stop listening to it! GOD IS VERY REAL! OH HOW HE LOVES US DESPITE OUR MANY FLAWS! GOD bless & I hope this touches many hearts as it did the three of us who witnessed it firsthand!
I heard this song in church today. It brought tears to my eyes. God has brought me through so much, and I haven't always gave Him the glory. Without Him I am nothing. I have overcome death, divorce, mental/emotional abuse,homelessness, and unemployment. I ran from Him, and kept running towards me. God never left my side. I am so grateful, humble, and blessed.

Its amazing how our young generation is going to God . Im 14 years old and i was a lukewarm christian for almost 4 years( i became a Christian at 10 years old) but God deserves our full praise and adoration because he i great!! And holy and we shouldn’t be a lukewarm christian because we have to be either cold or warm or else in scripture it says that Jesus will spit us from him mouth. Just because your a Christian doesnt mean you have a free way to heaven. Humble yourselves and follow God. We will fall at times we aren t perfect but we need to strive to do our best in the presence of the lord. God bless you and your families

After everything i have done to avoid God, he still talks to me and he still protects me. He still leads me, and still holds me. I have done nothing to deserve our creators attention let alone to have my name known by him, but but i praise him for never forgetting me. I Heard my eldest son singing this song and he challenged me to learn it. Apparently his sunday school teacher taught his class the song. After they learnt it while singing it she began to cry. After learning the song I understand why,God's love is so powerful and consistent that it never changes no matter what we have done. When I was 15, I was walking with my dad on a tarred road. It wasn't a busy road and so it was quiet, then suddenly and out of nowhere, a strange boy ,who appeared almost of my age, coming from the front , he looked squarly in my eyes as if he knew me. I was also wondering who he was. When we got closer, he said ,while walking and looking at me ; "Jesus Loves you" . Well , I only said 'thank you' . But at that time I didn't realize the strength in the words or what kind of love it was and how the words would impact my life forever. Whenever am down or r through difficult,I just remember those words. The words are my sources of strength and encouragement. But till now I don't understand what I did to deserve it or why a soul like me should be loved. Mostly, the more I get to know more about God, the more I realize what the stranger meant,and I normally shed tears , whenever I remember the words. I will never forget that encounter 😭😭😭

I have this song on repeat I think people get the misconcept of the title their not saying God is reckless but saying that his love is not like ours its soo unconditional that he continues to loves us despite all our actions towards him . Reckless definition : without thinking or caring about the consequences of an action !
To the reference definition of reckless. If you want a god who DOESN'T know the consequences of an action then you don't want the God of the Bible. He is omniscient. He is sovereign. He knows the beginning from the end. He IS NOT reckless. The song is 'ok', sort of. It just needs a more thoughtful and biblical lyric to replace reckless. I would also challenge you on your statement that God's love is unconditional. To appropriate His amazing love you must meet 2 conditions: 1-repent of your sins, 2- place all your faith in the completed work of Jesus Christ.
Matt Pett, wrong. His love is absolutely unconditional! Your 2 conditions are for receiving salvation. Don't confuse this, please. God loves the sinner, even those who have chosen to reject Him, as much as He loves those of us who have received His Son and live holy. The consequences of the decisions that people make is not because God stopped loving them; those consequences have been set in place and are met at that person's decision to meet them. God never stops loving His greatest creation....mankind.....no matter what we do. Jesus died when we were yet sinners. I don't mean any offense, but don't teach that God only loves us when we receive Christ. If so, how would any of us ever be saved in the 1st place?
Tracyna Justice you are correct and that other guy is correct. God is love. His love is unconditional because His nature is love. God also says His wrath rests on those who do not accept His Son. Storing up wrath as well. Salvation is conditional but God will love us through it all. The idea that God still has that infinite love for us is what brings people to believe that He won’t send the unrepentant sinner to hell. It’s hard to merge the two ideas. That is why the other guy is correct as well but misspoke I think. God has adopted His children. We are His sheep. We are His chosen ones. There really isn’t a theology sweet enough to describe those that are not chosen so we just pray He chooses more.
Nowhere in my response did I give any indication that God does not "send people to Hell." I have no issue with that. Don't put words into my mouth. God will absolutely cast people into Hell, but that is His righteous judgment for those who have refused His son. Their response to refuse to accept His Son is to bring about His wrath. God loves them still, but He must punish sin. The unbelievers' sins are not atoned for and therefore the wrath of God is inevitable for them. But it doesn't remove His love, ever. Again, if He didn't love the sinner, how would any of us have ever been saved. Jesus died while we were yet sinners. God sent His Son knowing full well every single horrible thing every single soul would do, and Jesus came anyway. That is unconditional love....period. So no, we are not both correct. He was saying His love isn't unconditional for the sinner. Not true.

God is amazing. I am healed with guilt and shame of my past. I committed adultery, prostitute, thief, sexual immorality and God forgiven me for all of my sins. I don’t deserve his grace, but he give it to me graciously. Amazing God. I praise Him for everything. Now, my husband forgave me of the sin I did to him and we are now received God’s Holy Spirit. The second thing is that I'm having a church weekend this weekend. So in the church I am talking with my teacher tomorrow is a church party at Saturday. I have food allergies, and sometimes I have panic attacks because any food can kill me. I listened to this song after reading 1 Peter 5:7 and mentally praying tonight while I was struggling. The panic attack left me. God is AMAZING!!!!
